BINGO. Well, I did have one small, conceivably replaceable, part that didn't snap-in on one of my more costly items, and they still sent a new retail-boxed one. Frankly, I wonder if they ever audit the warranty replacement process to see if they ought to fire anyone over sending whole products out. 🤪

I understand that's your personal experience. I do get that. No. I spoke of items in general when I spoke of warranty coverage from Bandai Namco, and Bluefin before. When I speak of others' experience, it includes comments I have seen on other platforms, discussions with staff at local retailers, and friends which have experienced the same. Insofar as expense goes, I have received several warranty replacements, including two retail-boxed SHMA replacements that were DX-comparable in price; in fact, which cost more than a YF-21. So, based on that experience, that Bandai Namco sent out an entire YF-21 did not surprise me. I guess I don't need to repeat that again. I only wonder now if they withheld the retail box because it wasn't on hand, or as a new matter of policy to prevent return/resale. The latter would be prudent, but hasn't happened in my experience.

Took a bit to get around to finishing. Unfortunately I only was able to watch one episode on Tuesday and they have been doing work on the lines around here, so the WiFi has been down mostly the last couple days. the first one out of this bunch was another set up kinda thing that this season seems to have a lot of. I really don’t like the batch set up they have, because it always hints at something interesting that must’ve happened that you didn’t get to see, but everyone talks about it as though things that happened were really interesting and probably more interesting than the start over episodes. the second episode of this batch was far better and definitely the best episode of the season. It’s a little clunky here and there, but overall pretty good. Sets up a lot of tension and Third episode of the bunch was kind of a mixed bag. It started out with a lot of tension, but ended kinda soft Overall not a bad batch, but that second episode really worked the best out of them. Hopefully the final batch is good and doesn’t rely on the set up starter again. I think we’ve had enough of those and can finally get to the end without all that and hopefully no more teasing things that happened off screen

See, the funny thing, from Bandai's perspective, I can kind of see how this makes.. "sense." The thought process probably went something like this: - "What's the absolute minimum factory-complete product unit we can send that will cover all of the complaints of broken parts we've received?" - "The only way to do that would be to send the entire plane body, and the spare canopy." - "If it means we don't have to disassemble anything or interact with the assembly line, fine. Ship it." It's basically the minimum amount of effort they can give to get you the replacement for whatever part of the valk broke.

These days its more like 30 to 40 years for a sequel, lol.

i didn't say i had any negative experience with blufin so there's no need to apologize to me. I am responding to your post that "you're surprised that we're surprised post." implying blufin sends a complete valk instead of parts as your standard experience. Meanwhile there are pages and pages in this thread with blufin not even sending a small replacement antenna for the yf-21 while members waiting 3 months to hear a response from bluefin only to hear they won't do anything. While some had success getting a replacement antenna. There is not one post here of blufin sending an entire valk instead of a replacement part. This is a first. So i was surprised. Can you show me on this thread or on the entire Macross forums of anyone getting an entire valk as a replacement from bluefin? When you say it's standard practice for Bluefin to send a whole valk, can you show some past evidence? There are multiple threads on the Macross toys from Bandai Namco. I've never seen one post till now.

I remember. Well, someone finally realized it existed as they went through that page to deactivate every PO on it. I did, but I am expressing my experience here, and I have had conversations elsewhere where I, more often than not, have heard of the same result. Oh, I had thought that would change once Bluefin was gone, but even now being Bandai Namco I have heard of this result. I'm sorry that you and some others haven't had the same experience, and I'm not implying you did anything wrong or were undeserving, but, truly, I was not at all surprised he received a new valk. No acting required. Like I said, it would seem that's more trouble than it's worth to whoever handled that claim.

Macross Fan Club - Costa Mesa, CA 1985

I didn’t even know there was a Macross fan club back then, let alone one here in the States that would put up posters of the movie -
You may have to see if things just have a simple stitch and try and break that to get to the damaged part, it could be possible that it just slipped out of joint, and may be an easy pop in place. Then redo the stitch. Hopefully things aren’t just glued

Absolute insanity. Seeing that they gimped it of all the fiddly bits presumably to deactivate it from being a displayable unit, yet didn't bother to just yank the fin out and mail it for cheaper is crazy. Anyway, I'm guessing that they threw in the extra canopy despite all that because they know it's made of the latest iteration of explodium.

Olitech Industries South Ataria Island build - collaboration

Really amazing work! This looks incredible! I've been messing with something kind of like it over in the 3D Collections thread and trying to build a "livable" version of the Al Shahal environment from Delta, but I won't ever be in this league. Great stuff and I look forward to what you do with it next! -
Remember in the 1980's that it wasn't unusual for 3 to 5 years to pass between sequels of your favorite films. I want another good Batman not the fastest.

can you read the thread instead of acting surprised? Bluefin always taking care of you is not the common experience for everyone. It's 50-50. There are those that weren't taken care off. Apparently, you did not read Macrossjunky's posts.

Too true. More than half of the links I don't click is because the title sounds too outrageous or click-baity. And there are some I would love to click on and say, 'you know this is b.s.' but then I would have clicked it and that's all it needs!

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
mikeszekely replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Possibly. Battery life is a big factor; I can't go back to the battery life if the Ally after upgrading to the Ally X. Price is a concern, too. I mean, I can only speculate until it's officially announced, but I feel like the Ally 2 would be more expensive than the Ally X even before tariffs are factored in. And finally, performance. If the Ally 2 is an incremental upgrade I'll probably pass. I can't realistically upgrade to a new handheld every year for a few extra fps on low settings. Z2 Extreme would need to be a pretty major upgrade to tempt me (pretty sure Aerith isn't).- 6890 replies

Im surprised because they pretty told me to frakk off, we are out of the parts and and you are screwed. I also bought it from the TN storefront on Amazon that they claim to know nothing of. Whatever.

Kinda bananas they sent you a whole valk lol. Is the left wing flap at the tip missing, or just happened to have worked its way loose & still within the clamshell?
-
LOL I did try... as far as I could tell, the pants are part of a bodysuit that likely goes up to his neck. I wanted to remove his jacket to see what's going on under, but the belt is in the way & I'm not sure how to remove that.

I'm surprised you guys are surprised! That's been pretty standard for my experience with them ever since they were Bluefin, and now actually Bandai Namco. It is apparently easier for them to just send that than open a box and part out something. The only change here is that they sent him it without another retail box. Last time I had a warranty issue, they just grabbed a retail boxed item and shipped it.
