  1. Past hour
  2. Did they just get lazy and reissue everything, some with a new paint job?
  3. Today
  4. I found one canard didn't line up wit the other. I looks like I had two of the same side installed (I bought mine from AmiAmi and shipped to Australia, so I don't know how difficult it would be to claim a defect. You can see that there is subtle shape to the canards that would make them left and right. I ended up applying some heat with a hair dryer to the affected side and bent it to match the other side which worked quite well. Both canards align evenly now.
  5. Latest episode once again stars the atrium set. Funny how at any hour of the day or night this giant heavily traffic area can become the private, quiet meeting space for these handful of cadets. Holly, The Doctor and Sam go to see her fellow hologram people. Who naturally make their own environment look like the Academy's atrium to make the visitors feel more comfortable. My current distaste for AI slop has grown to a dislike of AI based characters. The Doctor, Sam and even Data. I don't care what happens to these characters. Despite how they act these artificial characters are not real. I see these characters as AI chat bots. Real people were denied positions in Star Fleet because of AI. I'm now Doctor Pulaski fan.

    1/55's revisited

The toy that began my addiction.
  7. More like Ogrish (before Liveleak) back in the day...
  8. …picked this guy up the other day from a local comic/gaming shop for 40 dollars. complete surprise, never happens in my world. incomplete but very solid - it brings back some great memories
  9. Well, we all know who helped with this purchase, especially since he has a certain animosity towards Netflix (as we've seen recently), and helping a friend within the company to achieve this was kind of obvious.
  10. Paramount Skydance Poised to Acquire Warner Bros. Discovery After Netflix Bows Out of Bidding War (Variety) My comment on this is, how is this being financed and how much debt is being incurred from the WB-Discovery merger that just finished last year (as in, I wonder when the ROI actually changes to black).
  11. Thanks @Big s I have used Milliput and like it and imagine it will adhere to resin. One way to find out. (= @Thom hahahaha i have been home for a couple days with a sick kiddo and found some time to dig into this mess of a project. All smiles though considering
  12. Yesterday
  13. I remember many decades ago knowing that one dude in the neighborhood that had copies of the films and a watch of them would be highlights of sleepovers. Pre internet and very little information, kids couldn’t figure out if they were real or not and everyone would either debate their legitimacy or be jealous they missed out on the fun. I don’t think that something like that would be anywhere near as entertaining now though since everyone knows the truth and can easily find more disturbing videos by just doing a google search
  14. @Papa Rat you are just a modelling machine!
  15. Finished watching Alchemy of Souls, and it was a good thirty hours of entertainment. First season is better than the second, but I still liked it, even if the ending kind of rolled around the rim for a bit rather than swooshing in. It was a good show despite that.
  16. I don’t really do resin stuff, but on plastic, if it’s a wider gap that needs some shaping, I’ll use Milliput epoxy, but if you’re really looking into having a lot of projects, something like the aves in the tub might be better. If you can get ahold of resin putty, that stuff is usually really great. One of the few tamiya products that I really liked was their resin putty, but it’s like a unicorn trying to find the stuff.
  17. Looks like it's coming along nicely. 👍
  18. It looks like OpenBOR, similar to what we had with the G.I. Joe game, and we all saw that it wasn't all that great. Still, I'll give it a chance.
  19. Wish I could find a dollar store today that somehow just found a box of those in the back. Stuff of dreams...

Good God, yes. Even non-canon weird Joon-like colors like sofubi would be great too. Seeing 3P go hard on TF seekers to that point always hurts to see through Macross fan lenses. I feel like Valkyrie Factory/Fugu could take advantage of the situation easily. They recently did KOs of a post-SDFM model fast pack set (forgetting which atm, but was stunned by it), and I think they are responsible for the recent KO Yamato glow sticker sheets, and the SDF-1 scaled valks and destroids too released in time for the Arcadia SDF-1 reissue. If they are, they would likely release the CF and Angel Bird they proto'd if there's some serious uptick in the SDFM fandom (live action film?) at least. For DX, though...well, SH MonsterArts, Figuarts, and their Godzilla/Ultraman vinyl releases have long been KO'd. It's not as if Bandai is that powerful. Never a deal-killer to me. To have one fully articulated version of a character at any scale trumps scaling it to a preexisting contemporary character release. It's great when it is made with pairing in mind, but I'd sooner take a great IRL realization of a character versus none at all.
