aceoftherebellion Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 If it were Gundam I'd say yeah in a heartbeat but their handling of Frontier has been all over the place so far, so it's hard to say. Traditionally their handling of any non-gundam property has been spotty though, so I wouldn't hold much breath.
Kurisama Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 So to anyone who has a 27, can you how it will attach to the back? Or the legs? Photos?
Reïvaj Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 So to anyone who has a 27, can you how it will attach to the back? Like the fold booster perhaps?
Kurisama Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 D'oh, sorry - since I don't own a 27 - I forgot that it had that! I'll go back to my hole now.
VF-2SS-BloodPhoenix Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Is Bandai re-releasing the VF-27? Anything else they're re-releasing? The only DX Chogokin VF I was able to grab was Alto's VF-25 and if Bandai is reissuing more DX VFs, then I might try to get them. I wouldn't bother if all Bandai is doing is just releasing a super pack for the VF-27, because I have no VF-27 to put those shiny super packs on.
Scyla Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Could it be possible that they are doing a Renewal VF-27 with Super Parts but didn't had a prototype of the Valkyrie ready? So they decided to glue the Super Parts on an V1 Valkyrie. Are the VF-25 V1 in comparison to the V2 so much different that the new Super Parts would look off glued to a V1? I know I try to make something up that indicates that we get a VF-27 Renewal.
Ignacio Ocamica Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I hope you're right. I really want a renewal VF-27.
mqvu Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Yea that'd be awesome if they reissued the VF-27. I've been really tempted to buy one of these off eBay or other members, but I just can't get myself to pay the ridiculous marked up prices. Hopefully they do reissue it and soon too ...
mechaninac Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 VF-27 Reissue? We don'need no stink'n reissue... Give us a renewal already, Bandai! In other words, to me, it's either a renewal on par with the VF-25 V2s, or nothing...

mqvu Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 LOL, yea my apologies, I meant to say renewal version (not reissue )
ErikElvis Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Id gladly take a renewal version for battroid. Fighter still looks great with the original release. And actually battroid doesnt look bad. Just the hip placement is off.

Just the hip placement is off. Yep, still a good looking figure...until you put it next to a renewal. Then the flaws become quite apparent. My renewal VF-25G stands next to my VF-27...pretty much the crotch/hip placement is the most glaring thing that's off.
Valk-1S Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Just reviving this thread as this should be the next thing that Bandai will release whether being just the super parts or a whole renewal version. Since Luca RVF-25 announced, hopefully we will see the super parts for both the RVF-25 and VF-25G as well.
Loop Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 (edited) I'm hoping I can grab this release as I did not buy any of the Bandai valks until after the YF-29 came out. Oh, and I would love some super parts for the 25-G and the RVF-25. Edited March 6, 2013 by Loop
Phalanix Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Whatever comes next, here's hoping it'll be a Tamashii web exclusive. Lol
zzgundam010 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 It doesn't really matter what comes next since you won't be able to pre-order one before it sold out.
Mommar Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 It doesn't really matter what comes next since you won't be able to pre-order one before it sold out. Web exclusives don't sell out like that.
aceoftherebellion Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 I don't think we've heard anything from Bandai except for the RVF-25 and the Canon Fodder 171. I'm still waiting to hear about that Vajra toy they promised, too...
ff95gj Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 To be issued in August: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-206714-1-1.html - Bundled set - Some parts will be redesigned
Scyla Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Some parts like the crotch and hip area? Good news but that means no VF-27 Renewal for some time (maybe never). I'm curious what those changes are going to be. Depending on that I might be interested since the Lucifer is missing in my Frontier collection. So I'm glad that it will be a bundle. Does anyone have good comparison images between the VF-27 and the Renewal VF-25s. IIRC they scale badly in Battroid-Mode together. Edited May 2, 2013 by Scyla
pikashoo Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 To be issued in August: http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-206714-1-1.html - Bundled set - Some parts will be redesigned and just as important, what day do we need to be glued to our computers only to be denied pre-ordering?
David Hingtgen Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hmmn. Green version possible? They were only in the movie for less than a second and way in the background (literally had to freeze-frame it) and I don't think they had the armor. Some parts like the crotch and hip area? Doubt it. Probably only what's absolutely needed to accomodate the armor--new shoulder pads, and probably some extra slots and tabs in the legs.
Chronocidal Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I might have to pick up one just to get the armor pack. Don't know how that'll ever work with the existing figure, but I have to admit I liked the way the backpack looks in Macross 30.

On the other hand I'm happy to be able to buy a new VF-27 at retail price with the Armor Parts (or should I say near retail?). Hope there is not as much preorder madness since it's no Renewal.
xrentonx Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 You guys can count on me NOT ordering 2 or 3 on this one! That's 2 or 3 more for people who actually want this thing!
Dark_Ghost Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Relase date August 2013 Price : ¥21 000 incl. taxe Early presales May 8, 2013 - 16:00 Japan time Edited May 2, 2013 by Dark_Ghost
mechaninac Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Whattyaknow... looks like they did fix the hip. Now I'm more than mildly interested. I wonder how it compares to the renewal on a side by side comparison with the redesigned bits. Edit: Pricey beast, though... Edited May 2, 2013 by mechaninac
xrentonx Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 (edited) Better but still looks a little off So is this a renewal or what? Make me eat my words, Bandai! Edited May 2, 2013 by xrentonx
pikashoo Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 21,000 yen! Yike's. Not gonna complain though, better than not getting it at all. Just hope can get some pre-order in without having to go to the markup route
Scyla Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Damn I'm at work now and can't look at those images due to some IT shenanigans. Can someone describe what they changed on the hip? Does it look like the Renewals? Or even better can someone re-post the image of the hip.
