Shawn Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Egan emailed me-said its the 10th anniversary of the Macross Compendium today. 10 years-wow! Congrats Egan! And thanks for everything you've done for all us fans! He's posted a bunch of great pictures with some very cool stories. Macross Compendium Link Below http://www.anime.net/macross/ Shawn
Roy Focker Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Yeah thank you Egan. The Compendium has been a great resource and learning tool.
azrael Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Happy b-day to the Compendium. Holy crap.....I even remember, what is now, the archive of the Compendium that Egan found. Geez, I'm old.....
yellowlightman Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Probably one of the best fan sites on the web, crazy to think it's been around for 10 years. The internet is starting to feel old, eh? Congratulations Egan, here's to hoping for another 10.
Keith Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Yup, the internet is definately starting to feel old. Worse yet, as huge as it supposedly is, I find myself visiting the same old sites most of the time.
Yohsho Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Wow 10 yrs for the Compendium. A big Congrats for them. Amazed at all the pictures he's gotten over the years.
Graham Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Congratulations to Egan for 10 years of the Macross Compendium. The Compendium has really been (and still is) an invaluable resource for us Macross fans. Graham
areaseven Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Wow, it's been that long since the site went up? I'm feeling old now. Happy 10th Anniversary, Macross Compendium.
Gui Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Happy B-Day, Egan!... Errr... I mean, Macross Compedium!
Black Valkyrie Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 The franchise is alive by us till now not by the main companies who lost interest in it. Happy 10th Anniversary !
wwwmwww Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Congrats Egan! You've got a great site there. Here is to 10 more years... Carl
Mr March Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Sticking with a website for 10 years is a big accomplishment. In the age of the internet, websites come and go faster than fashions. Good to see some people can stay the duration. Congrats Egan!
Prime Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Thanks for bringing us such a wonderful and useful site.
Guest Bromgrev Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Thank you for giving the rest of us the means to sound as if we know what we're talking about!
Godzilla Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Congratulations! Thanks for the hard work, Egan.
BoBe-Patt Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 happy anniversary egan!! good job on the site!!
EganLoo Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Thanks to every Macross fan who visited and everyone else who became fans after visiting! Fortunately, thanks to time zones, it's still the birthday today. I also can't believe it's been ten years, three servers, two American presidents, and five Japanese prime ministers. I'll be adding more memories on the April 16th update: namely, email messages of congratulations and reminiscences from Shin "Caffeine IV Tube" Kurokawa, Carl "Gainax Can Do No Wrong" Horn, and others (with everyone's okay). Thanks for the fun so far and to come!
JB0 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I'd just like to second what everyone else has said. An invaluable resource for idiotic fanboys arguing which mech would win in a fight(me, sadly), as well as the more rational people that just want some of the details that aren't animated.
kensei Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Congratulations! Happy to say that your site was the first Macross one I found. Gald to see it is still up and running.
Prime Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) An invaluable resource for idiotic fanboys arguing which mech would win in a fight(me, sadly), as well as the more rational people that just want some of the details that aren't animated. Indeed. This site could perhaps have settled more fanboy arguments than any other site in any genre... OK, maybe not. But it still has settled a lot! Edited April 12, 2005 by Prime
ewilen Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I don't know how I missed this thread before, but anyway--congrats, Egan!
