  1. Finally got around to this weeks episode. After all the rushing of the past few episodes, this one felt like it totally slammed hard on the brakes. It really felt like nothing at all happened. Lots of ladybossing, but really a lot of nothing. Basically the same stuff that they were building towards in the last episode is what people are talking about in this episode.
  2. At least it’s not the triceratops poo from the first Jurassic Park movie. That thing pooed half its weight in one standing. Seriously that pyramid was up to its B-hole in height, no wonder the thing was dying.
  3. That’s the one I skipped. I don’t think comparing prices with mg kits is the best way to judge things, but $150 for a model kit should be a bit of a step up from the basics. It didn’t seem like a fit for me budget wise and wasn’t really a design I cared for.
  4. Just watched the first episode last night and I liked it. It’s got a real uncomfortable humor to it that I wasn’t expecting. And more uncomfortable car ride scenes than any episode of any show I’ve ever seen. I think that’s definitely an odd record to have. It’s got a good amount of uncomfortable meal scenes as well. And a good amount of uncomfortable meetings. I think this sets up for the most uncomfortable scenes in a single episode of any show ever made.
  5. I’d love to see a diorama with a maintenance guy holding some wipes on a ladder right next to that marking. Either that or posed next to a zentraedi with a tissue wiping it down.
  6. I think that’s one 0 too many. Unless you’re talking about that larger kit that I skipped. But the little weltall was in a pack of 4 for $60 and was a fun little build. personally, I don’t have the cash for the new toy. It’s definitely way out of my budget
  7. I think it looks great either way. When it’s pitching forward, it looks like it will just fall on the other side of the river
  8. I prefer the original. This one is definitely thinner in a lot of places, but it doesn’t bug me, just that I love the og . Its been so long that I forgot if this is a show or movie or whatever else at this point.
  9. I don’t think you’ll get much new in that form since most gundam stuff doesn’t transform and when it does , you usually wish it didn’t. It’s also not gonna look new when it looks old and long outdated from the start. It may have a surprising thing here or there, but I think they were just showing off the tropes for the previews so people see the connection. But I’m not gonna expect much either way. personally, slow motion tends to bore me. And having the ugliest Zaku in slow motion would probably be sickening. I’m usually far more impressed when things appear to be at real speed. Like with Mad Max where the road chases were filmed at speed giving the road an absolutely chaotic look or Equilibrium which was kinda the anti Matrix. I guess that’s probably why Zack Snyder movies put the audience to sleep. Not sure how much slow motion this will have though
  10. Personally I don’t mind the odd performance comparison in an oddball thread. Kind like the Enterprise vs Macross discussions. They’re all equally ridiculous, but an entertaining distraction
  11. If not for this discussion, I wouldn’t have known what the name meant. I really hadn’t cared about the naming in U.C. Gundam stuff since most were from awkward sound effects, like the Zaku or Dom. Or they’re some odd German translation or just named after flowers or something else of equal silliness. I just went with the assumption that in Unicorn, that the kid who first identified the ReZel as a zeta type transformable suit just was referring to project Zeta. And if I remember that included happy accidents like the Hyaku Shiki, the Methus and eventually the Zeta and a few other oddballs
  12. I still don’t see really anything from the ReGZ in the ReZel design at all.
  13. Sometimes they’re full assed, like the lower part of the ZZ I do like the zeta and its lineage for the most part. It is tough for me to think of other great examples. as far as a fight against a Valkyrie, that’s a bit tough since the zeta had a newtype pilot, but if you got the right A-hole pilot in a well armed Valkyrie he’d just have to keep reminding the Zeta’s pilot that he’s named after a girl and then unleash a barrage of reaction missiles
  14. I don’t know, those ones look really fragile
  15. That’s pretty creative
  16. I always thought it was a production version of the Methus. They both have a lot of similarities and both transform into piles of crap
  17. The tiny little knee joints in battroid are annoying to look at, but the fighter looks stupid. It’s mostly due to the intakes being so far out from the body, but overall it looks like a cool jet on top glued to a bunch of junk underneath that just doesn’t belong. It’s crap design from a company that doesn’t seem to understand design
  18. I’ve been so sleepy watching the show that I didn’t realize til after the second video here that the dwarf lady boss had noticed the nameless squid thing. I think on the previous page I made a comment regarding the balrog, but I was wrong. I noticed in these videos that they brought up the doors being crafted and the water was shaking in that hole that only the dwarf lady boss discovered, even though any child could have easily stumbled in there. A couple of details I barely remembered from the actual episode.
  19. Tito was the only one I remember other than Mikey
  20. I’ll still watch it, even though it still looks like old PlayStation cutscenes. I started rewatching Seed because Netflix added the movie and it’s been a long time and I didn’t want to be totally lost. I forgot how bad the character animation was in that show. At times it reminded me of Kim possible, but they forgot the lower lips in their show on the female characters while seed forgot to draw the upper lips. Anyway, it’s gonna be a while since I plan to watch Destiny as well and that’s a lot of episodes altogether
  21. It’s all about the maple. Their dollar is printed on paper made from the purest of maple trees. They have so much maple power that you can flavor your pancakes with them by just waving their dollar over a stack. It’s also a good way of testing counterfeit bills. Store owners in Canada always keep pancakes and waffles on hand to test the legitimacy of the bills
  22. I find that the 91 is pretty harsh, but great for removing paint. I’d definitely go lighter with the 70
