I guess the complaint is that you can’t use non Bandai parts for the contest. I didn’t go through all the rules, so I don’t know if you can make your own personal parts but it sounds like you can’t use parts from other companies like wave or kotobukiya. I should also read it to see if that also includes non gundam parts like Bandai starwars or macross.

What Current Anime Are You Watching Version v4.0
Big s replied to wolfx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Votoms will still be a favorite of mine. They did only intend a first story arc, but were kinda surprised they didn’t get canceled each time they finished a part, but I’ll always love it. It’s so different from the boring modern junk lately and I love the grounded realistic mecha designs. The show does drag here and there though. -
As far as mg jegan decals go, some of the mg nu gundam decals would work. They have efsf markings and londo bell markings. And there’s plenty of generic number and warning decals around.

Most pose able action figures are close to either 1/12 or1/6 scale without much in between. As far as fitting in a car try something in the 1/12 scale and see if it doesn’t look too small. Maybe a steward figure or figure kit. If it’s too small I’m not sure on other options. A lot of pose able figures tend to take up more space in things like cars, so a smaller scale figure will probably work better than one at scale. If you’re looking for specifically females, then there are some kotobukiya kits that have a slightly armored look that may work.

There’s a possibility of decals coming out when the rg nu comes out. They need to release a few and the hype for the new kit may bring the sazabi and other minor sets as well. And if you don’t want a finished kit with no decals, just buy the kit later. Seriously someone needs to have a serious talk with these guys about including the damn decals. It’s the same printing method.

the sazabi usually hguc decals should be fine, but you will mainly get emblem decals and not the stripes. The nu may be more difficult since the shoulder is designed differently and may cause an issue, but I’m not sure. The decals for popular kits usually come out sooner, so it will probably be easier to wait or use a service to print them if you’re in a hurry.

I don’t think a sazabi decal set for the rg is out yet, but if it’s not it’s probably gonna come out when the nu one comes out. I really wish gundam kits would come with decals like the Star Wars ones have. With those you can choose water slides or stickers. I even have storm trooper kits with emblems that were never seen on the armor, yet gundam kits only have the stickers. And some decal sets are incomplete like on the prototype dom.

Nickelodeon “Star Trek” animated series
Big s replied to Sildani's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I sometimes feel like a franchise has to do something drastic once in a while. The universe is so big why not have Star Trek with no rules to pretend to follow, or Star Wars with no jedi or empire to fight or macross with no idol singers. -
October sounds good.

I like the look of this better Han the mg. It does look like it used a lot of rg gimmicks, but they look like it was more for movement than for what if psycho frame vents. I’ll probably get one later when the do a water slide decal sheet.

Nickelodeon “Star Trek” animated series
Big s replied to Sildani's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The premise for this show is the most interesting thing I’ve heard of for the franchise. Star Trek without all the Star fleet rules. The possibilities are there for some real excitement. -
Since this is for sure a Star Wars argument thread, I’m gonna have to say rogue one was barely better than the other prequels. I found the main characters either boring or annoying with the exception of k2so. I at least liked most of the characters in the newer ones even if the last movie got pointless with it’s what the hell is going on here and why plot.

I never liked the face on the later versions of the q rau. I love the tv versions especially millias color scheme in the series. any way I was checking images for the 1d and seems Bandai weren’t the only ones to do the back plate that way.

Oddly enough I remember the attack of the bionoids vhs back in the day. I think that was the first version of macross that came out here in the U.S. it was dyrl with the worst voice acting ever. It made robotech seem like a high standard as far as voice acting. I did however enjoy the robotech episodes more when I was younger and I liked most of the alien designs better in the original macross than the movie. The only zentraidi design I liked better in the movie was the n ger. As far as Valkyrie designs I actually really like both and am glad that hmr does do both movie and series. Most of the 1j versions are from the show and the cf 1a can be technically for either. Hopefully if they do a tv 1s it will have options do super parts and Roy or Hikaru pilots.

So the price was for individual items, but the price according to hobby search for the full set is about $55. I preordered 2 since I could do some custom colors. Tag hobby is showing a Bandai web exclusive 1/20 turbo custom.

To me it’s more of an issue that that gundam only had the psycho frame reinforcing the cockpit. I don’t mind things like an opening maintenance hatch , but the psycho frame gimmicks were the reason I skipped the ver ka for those mg kits.

I’d buy even if that price was for each. I still think it’s more likely for the set. Wave sells stripped down versions of their larger 1/35 kits for almost $30. And the average 1/144 gundam kit is around $10, so under $10 each sounds more realistic for these little guys.

Totally, but at least they’re doing blue knight. The Tamara ones haven’t done those yet.

Tag hobby. They’re listed as 1/48 minipla kits and seems to be sold as a set of three for around 2300 yen. I may have misread something in the details, but I think that’s what it says. The 2300 price may be for each, but that’s the part I’m not sure on. 1/48 kits would be very small and could be the price for all three.

To be honest, I don’t have time for 40 kits of anything. But the other 2 sets are must buys.

Do you get multiple base kits per set or is it one with option parts for the one you choose to build? I’m just wondering if I need to get a few more standard ones first while they’re in stock.
