  1. Even though I remember for smaller roles, they were in very memorable movies
  2. That’s only a few hundred years to wait. Things have been getting tough with these recent shipping delays. Your offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s offspring’s descendants will surely enjoy that you thought to send a Christmas gift or whatever holiday they celebrate almost a thousand years from now
  3. He kept getting barrels thrown at him by an ape when I was a kid and then there was the tv show, there was also the live action movie. I didn’t play many of the non cart games past the early to mid nineties and he kinda came off pretty doofy most of the time.
  4. The goofy part is that its backstory was actually based on a true story. Of course it didn’t go on an insane killing spree in real life. There’s a few of these kinda recent internet true stories getting adapted into over the top movies and shows lately, like the Emu War and the Watcher. It’s like the movie makers ran out of ideas and started watching YouTube for inspiration or something
  5. The other issue is the colors in the anime. The darker colors are the shadow and if you look at the areas where it’s lighter it matches better. Anime and comic lighting ccolors are pretty confusing and Bandai probably matched the lighter orange rather than the darker. The tan parts should be less yellow and more gray brown though
  6. Honestly wasn’t expecting anything groundbreaking. As long as it’s fun to watch, I’ll check it out. I really just wanted a fun show anyway and if it ends up more than that by the end I’ll be even happier
  7. No, it’s got a different clown. I forget the name of the movie and the actor, but he was the clown in it
  8. Thanks for the warning, I’ll put this on my “don’t need to see” list of movies.
  9. I love the animated videos from the new album, especially The Writing on The Wall with sound effects.
  10. Definitely a must see. The true story is so bizarre, I can’t wait for this movie
  11. For tough spots with thick decals, I usually use a thin needle at a couple of spots like where the panel line is under the decal and let microsol soak through the underside.
  12. As far as larger decals, they can look really good if you use a decal softener and know how to make the clear edges disappear.
  13. I hope he keeps up and does the monster as well. And if he does more gits maybe one of the larger tanks
  14. I’d be more interested in Samurai Troopers
  15. I guess it’s arts and crafts day. Just saw the Votoms thread with a cardboard scopedog, and now I’m looking at a cardboard tachikoma. Now I’m wondering what got posted in the other threads
  16. That’s just about all the decals. There’s some striping, but on a vf-1 those don’t usually follow a set panel line and in many cases will have markings along the striping. The base colors on them would be fairly simple to be molded in color, but even with the chest stripes , I’d rather have a good waterslide decal to avoid masking mistakes. The vermillion team and vf colors would be the easiest to get away with just borrowing number decals from other kits, but masking the stripes for Skull squadron would be tougher with the two tone chest colors. my overall issue and probably many other model builders aren’t as good at paint masking for those chest markings as we wish we could be. Simple straight lines like on the sides of legs or fuselage are pretty simple, but throw in those angles on the chest or matching the red from the kite decal to the stripe on a Hikaru 1j is another pain
  17. This has been my issue with most Bandai kits. It’s too bad max factory decided to follow in that kinda mess. I haven’t seen them do aftermarket decals the way Bandai does with some of their kits and personally I don’t have a way to print them or have any friends with that ability. I’d also hate the idea of having to buy a hasegawa kit for the decals that may not fit right with these kits.
  18. I think that they looked at Bandai instead unfortunately
  19. The fighter only had stickers unfortunately. There are some that do decal printing or there the annoying buy a hasegawa kit just for the decals option. I have no idea why they didn’t do waterslides
  20. was looking at the hip attachments. Looks like a ball joint to the leg and some curious notches where that joint piece attaches to the fuselage. Maybe a gimmick to move the joint forward as a way to get more movement to be able to get the upper thigh/intakes to clear the wings while posing the legs forward.
  21. It was just popping it as far out as possible then moving it back carefully. There’s almost a nub in the way, but once it gets past that point it’s fine.
  22. It’s definitely come up. Careful movement can listen it a bit, but it seems a thing with the vf-1 for some reason
