  1. They were trying to get old rich customers with money to burn interested. It’s a lot of plastic, but it’s a derpy simple design that should be no more than $50 tops
  2. There’s a 1988 if I’m reading right
  3. I think they only showed Graymalkin once in the older episodes and it didn’t seem like as much a time travel device the way it was depicted, more of a smart spaceship. And As far as the series bishop, he just goes back and forth whenever he screwed up. And as far as cables tech in the series, it may have come from the future, but so did some of the tech that was used in the sentinel peeps. either way time travel stuff is too much of a gimmick and gets way overused in the show, but I’m also not a fan of rewriting rules for things.
  4. Honestly never heard the term “Cal Arts Style” until this video, but completely understand that there was an ugly trend for rebooting cool shows. I actually enjoyed the other reboot with the good animation. It’s too bad it didn’t have an ending
  5. Thanks for the pics. I still have mine in the pile of loot at bbts. It’s giving me hope that maybe a couple other characters might get a figure
  6. Just finished the last of the 97 episodes. Overall it’s not a bad show and has some great moments. Definitely the best marvel animated series I’ve seen. It does have some super cringy moments here and there, but I’m still looking forward to the upcoming X-Men 98. one of the things I’m a bit on the fence with As far as things I liked
  7. The trooper artwork has always been one of my favorites, but my absolute favorite would have to be from the Killers cover. I’m a little surprised they didn’t do the Senjutsu cover. That one is very action figure looking and from their newest album and Samurai stuff is in right now.although Aces High would make for a great vehicle offering
  8. Not gonna lie, I barely found out about action force a couple years ago. I don’t know why it never dawned on me that people would change a franchise that was so overly American to fit their own culture. I mean I come from a Macross fandom and changes to fit another part of the world should have been expected.
  9. If they do more southern cross , I’d preorder from bbts for sure just like I did with Dana. I’ve waited a few decades, I can wait a couple extra months or even years as long as I know it’s in the works. And if the project is cancelled, bbts doesn’t take any of my cash, so it’s no loss
  10. I remember seeing reprints of the long speech, but I really only read from the early 80’s to the early 90’s. After they lost all their talent most of the people I knew just considered it fan fiction. I know it picked back up a little later on , but nothing like it once was. Comics altogether kinda dipped in popularity around the mid to late 90’s and it’s a real rarity to meet someone that actually keeps up with them.
  11. Looks like you met that challenge head on. Thanks for sharing
  12. The different shades of gray and white and the odd orange bits that make it pop out. It could easily have been muddy, but it came it really great
  13. I just saw these at bbts and did an instant preorder.
  14. But the big D loves back stories for characters that never needed them and the audience will regret seeing. I’m sure there’s gonna be an off character Scar in this as well
  15. Especially if the company goes under before the product is released
  16. Space Balls was a great parody film and definitely one of the best of its kind
  17. I wish I could tell you exactly when it was released, all I can really do is tell you more of a close idea of when I bought it. I’m pretty sure it was before 95, but not absolute on that
  18. I’m not too sure on that since I kinda wonder if they’re trying to spread out releases. The 1J fighter release may only be a change in head piece and decal sheet. I don’t know if they went as far as changing any other details from their other fighter kit. And the fighter got pushed back a month almost seemingly to make room for the battroid that got a lil delay. So maybe the 1A’s will be pushed back as well. But who knows for sure at this point
  19. This one looks great And so does this one. Not too many people doing peeps with the cell painting technique
  20. That thing really turned out awesome
  21. I bought mine in the early 90’s at Suncoast back when those were in every mall. They did a special order for it. That was kinda their thing. It probably says on the back of the sleeve. I think it was before 95. I know most of the video places had Clash of the Bionoids and it was a somewhat edited version. Oddly the DYRL version had the same dubious dub. I just remember that the people at Suncoast had to catalog things in a big book and write everything on paper because it was pre computer catalogs. It was also back when laserdiscs were on the shelf and before dvd. It was also a little before the internet was a thing. I had heard about it from a friend that there was a rumored vhs copy that was a bit longer and had scenes the likes of which were only legend. I knew the archivists in the dark ironically named Cave called Suncoast might be able to procure the item I sought. It took three months before a hero clad in brown had delivered it to the dark archives. I then had to convince a friend to take me to retrieve that legendary treasure since I did not have a ride. Seriously, every Suncoast store I had ever been in was dark and had dark paint, they probably got turned into Hot Topic stores when they went under. And the clerks all were extreme movie snobs, but always knew the best versions of the movie you were looking for.
