    Ouch. Such backhanded praise.
  2. I'm on episode 4 and appreciate the time spent on the characters just being who they are. Good show so far. Unpredictable, and refreshingly more complex than I assumed when the first trailers came out.
  3. Enjoyed it as well. Definitely not for kids as a whole, but a few episodes, like the Yogurt could be watched by anyone.
  4. I think it goes back to the original 1950's print cartoons that the characters originated in: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/07/09/the-addams-family-secret
  5. You know what would make this better, is if a capsule pod pops in at the last minute in the last episode and out comes the combined form or Kirk and Spock carrying a katana answering to Sporks.
  6. I think this Blanka is actually a better mold than my beloved SOTA toys Blanka. That's saying something. Bandai really needs to do a Bison!
  7. Whoa, the feels. THE FEELS! My most anticipated movie of 2019. I'll still be in the theater to watch Cap.Marvel unsnap Thanos fingers or whatever, but I think I've had my fill of spandex and capes. Only thing I'd be more excited for would be Vilanueve's Dune or a new Macross series debut.

Good question. Seems like Bandai was aiming to hit the colors from Flashback 2012, which if I remember correctly, did seem a bit washed out.
  9. At least on home video. Reminds me of the tongue-in-cheeck Brady Bunch movies where half the fun is joking about the original concept in a realistic setting. I dig that. Also getting hints of Mean Girls. All good things.
  10. It's a very rewarding series, start to end. I still haven't dipped into Resistance. Might not ever.
  11. These dioramas just cement in my mind the need for someone on these boards to become a bazillionaire so that they can build a Macross theme park in the shape of City 7, with Destroids you can ride.

    Macross figures

The clothing looks good, but who knows if it will last or just slowly disintegrate over a couple of years. The face, though, that looks like a confident, heroic, determined young man ready to go kick ass. None of which I associate with Hikaru.
  13. Think I saw this come up on a recent "Today I Effed Up" reddit post. Thoughts and prayers on a speedy recovery. And by all means, get the valk!

Ordered at CDJapan. Now we'll see if that doesn't get cancelled. I tried finding sellers on AmazonJP that would ship to the US, by clicking add to cart from the "Also sold by" link, and then checking the item detail page, but none of the 20 or so that I checked shipped to the US. A shame. But in the end I got one for less than the cheapest price on eBay right now, so I'm happy.
  15. My youngest gal likes to play action figures with me. Some have suffered battle damage as a result. Nothing a little epoxy glue couldn't fix, but I was careful to select cannon fodder for those missions. My oldest gal was never much into playing with toys, but now she's the one that started watching Delta on her own. Go figure. If you have Netflix, there are an infinite amount of options for kids cartoons, and with all the very compelling superhero stuff and cute, fantastical creature friends shows, Macross in general has a lot to compete with.
  16. You might want to checkout the He-Man Classics that started around 2008. They are a bit old now, but not unreasonable used off the 'bay: https://news.toyark.com/2008/11/24/masters-of-the-universe-classics-he-man-271 Then there is a more recent line that strives to portray the looks of the Filmation cartoon, which I think they nail: http://www.16bit.com/fotd/160331-motug-20-he-man.asp
  17. Nothing about that Sony announcement bodes well. That Venom wasn't horrible and that Spider-verse was great due earn them some slack but all the sleazy executive talk about product irks me. So soulless.
  18. Great job. And that Falcon diaorama, wow!
  19. Let's be honest Aladdin isn't really killing it in the Ladies department. He's just a little too rough of a diamond. And that's where Hitch, I mean, the Genie comes in. He just need to show him how to be comfortable in his own skin, you know, around Princesses and such.
  20. How about : "Prince Ali, crazy is he, Ali Ababwa / Genuflect, show some respect, get down on one knee!"
  21. Capcom is sitting on so much great IP at the moment. Power Stone, Darkstalkers, an actual new Megaman game. They finally got around to Resident Evil, but it seems like they are taking their time with all the others. There is a large contingent of people in the fighting game community that are wary of today's Capcom being able to do those golden titles of yore justice, though they have done well with Monster Hunter. Non-Monster Hunter game role outs have been tough.
