  1. Because So it has been confirmed that there will be 30 minutes of cut scenes on the bluray, I can't wait to see what is hiding in there!
  2. I had a great time while seeing this movie even if I agree it gets a inconsistent at times like mentioned by others here. I'm not sure I really need a second movie thought, just give us the inevitable director's cut edition that will fix everything
  3. It's amazing. Seeing how you pile up all references and then put it all there in your model is a supertreat
  4. Thanks a lot guys! I was indeed trying to get it to look like a big 3D jenga, I think a VF-1 jumbo if they ever did one wouldn't be out of place somewhere in the background :lol:gb Surprisingly nothing has been broken on this display since a couple of years now, even when the GBP did accidentally fall off the shelf and shatter all across the room (but that's what an armor would do, right?) VF-18S : I just straddled the boosters on top of the gerwalk with flaps slightly open to keep it in balance
  5. Thanks eugimon, it has inspired this other tower which is even more scarier. There is a blue MPC Alpha+Beta hovering on top of this Mospeada display and all sorts of tiny fragile figures underneath it Benson, these are Yamato clear stands that I have moded by adding a pin in order to be able to connect the piece which is normally used for smaller figures. It is strong enough to hold securely a naked VF-1
  6. speaking of soundboosters, here's the last pics i took just before my cheap-o camera died. Hopefully I'll get a replacement soon, because of all that money I won't be able to spend on Bandai's efforts
  7. I like the way the wings are folded high in battroid mode, that looks much better that on Yamato's VF-17. The arms look too long with the hands hanging below the knees, I hope that like on Yamato's they have a double hinged shoulder that allows you to make it look less apish Other than that, if the hand swapping for battroid is confirmed then this is an easy pass for me
  8. VF-1S TV Roy is still available at amiami : http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-2324
  9. It looks phenomenal, thanks for posting these scans guys!
  10. This version made me laugh. I didn't remember the ninjas, but I guess it was cool to have a few of them in your video back in the 80s http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xd4egt_total-eclipse-of-the-heart-literal_music
  11. No it doesn't, I'm a bit disappointed, I thought they'd do more for the 30th anniversary but I guess that it was also clearly stated that the pictures would not reflect the final product... I'm still glad I got it though but it will be my last VF-1... unless a re-release of Max&Miria or Elintseeker happens
  12. It's the TV version only (TV pilot, rounded hands), so you should try to have the TV super parts if you really want to stay consistent. I just received a couple of these and I love them, it's the older issue though with the rainbow canopy and old crotch. edit : I should just clarify that I didn't get mine from the HLJ sale, I think HLJ has now only the new ones with the clear canopy and new croth mecanism.
  13. As a matter of fact, they just released the final episode five a few days ago, which premiered in Paris . Here's the link to a video of the event (it only shows a retrospective of the first 4 episodes and stuff on japanese TV shows) : I watched all 4 available episodes, and they get better with each new episode. It may have lots of flaws especially in the first couple episodes (although I wouldn't count the cheesy acting as a flaw here) but you can really feel all the love they've put in this work. Everything got better, costumes, acting, story, SFX, and lots of humor. Also episode 4 ends on a climax with a cruel cliffhanger... 8 years of wait damnit! From what I've heard episode 5 should be available worldwide on youtube after June 6th
  14. @slaginpit : You need to change the tread breast missile parts too, otherwise the arms of the legioss will not be able to fit nicely. Basically, once you have attached the new part on the metal connector piece you just push in the legs of the Legioss so that the pegs on the new connection piece get inside of the calf. That and the fact the arms are locked onto the new "rounded" pieces of the Tread will make the Legioss very stable
  15. This is true but I doubt it's the reason that justifies the difference in price. My opinion (and of course it's also pure speculation from here) is that Bandai can cut very low prices with the chinese factories they work with because they are one of the few big toy companies, and as such they give these factories work during all the year. Obvioulsy the 171 was produced in low quantities so it's not as if Bandai could cut the price because of a high production number on this toy. I believe because Yamato is a much smaller client they are forced to order more copies of a valk than Bandai has to and even so get's a much higher price for producing their toys than Bandai. But maybe it's just because Bandai's VF-171 is slighty inferior in quality, materials and engineering... I've no idea, but a VF-17S is finally on it's way to me from Japan
  16. I watched season 2 until episode 9 and had mixed feelings of general boredom but still hoping for a flamboyant finale, then switched to watching Breaking Bad which is totally unrelated (but so good). So I got back to watching The Walking dead just for the sake of finishing what I started and I think the show seemed even more arid to me. Most characters act or react stupidly or inconsistently at some point just because of nonsense writing taking them from A to B without bothering at all about who the character is or should be thinking or doing.Actually the fact that they killed some main characters at the end of this season was a relief instead of a climax... Also one thing I've been wondering : I'm aware these guys are supposed to be from the south but why do Shane and Rick always talk like they have a mouthful of stones or attempt to sound like WWA wrestlers? It feels ridiculous, but I still went through the whole season 2, so there must have been something that got me to watch it, I've just no idea what though...
  17. This thing is MASSIVE, yet it can do some really cool poses... your modeling skills are incredible
  18. That would be so cool, but I doubt it too. What I'm keeping my fingers crossed for though is that this reissue 1D receives all the sweet tampo shown in the preorder pictures.
  19. I just caved in, couldn't help myself, I guess I'm a sucker for orange valks I've already got one in gerwalk so I had to get a display of the two seats lifted in battroid, that was just too much to resist
  20. I certainly didn't expect the marker method Looks great though! Have you seen Yaco's custom? He's replaced the cheap red cloth with a leather-like material which looks great and he also fixed the problem of the cloth coming out of the knee joint. I intend to make a 1/12 transformable VR038. The only problem I had was that there wasn't a female figure that looked good enough to attempt a bashkit, but Bandai has made this possible with their recent myth cloth female body. I've already gathered a few of these for Stick, Rei and Yellow, and also Lunk. I'm just waiting for a Fuke now
  21. BEAUTYFUL! Thanks Renato for translating this, it's so cool to get a glimpse of the story behind the show.
