  1. Maybe it's the thinness or the overall shape, anyway I think I'll rework that battroid, the head especially seems boring to me now. Here's a sketchy one I had fun with, It's a bit rushed because I wanted to get to the point without bothering too much with acurate shapes ans scales of the BG
  2. If it's a hollow pin I wouldn't try to remove it. I may be wrong but I think these things have someking of "spring" function inside the joint, they apply pressure inside the cavity of the joint making them nearly impossible to put back if you ever manage to take them out
  3. Thanks guys. Vi-RS I think you may be right, but I was hoping the decals on the 1A version would make more sense regarding the valk type it comes with, oh well...
  4. Hi guys, I just received Yamato's unassembled VF-1J toy kit and I have a question about the other versions. The VF-1J came with crispy decals for two main schemes : 1S Roy type (black and yellow stripes) and hikaru's 1J scheme (red stripes). I was wondering what decals the other kits came with, especially the 1A? By the way I was intending to turn mine into a Milia scheme and display it in Gerwalk with the babypod attached. I doubt I'll ever transform it though since it will inevitably scratch the paint
  5. Dude, you can do it, you'll get your valk back this time again!
  6. I picked my YF-19 at 45% off during last year's christmas sale at HLJ so I can definitely wait for a V3. I must say I like it despite the gullet in fighter and non locking gerwalk and battroid modes. Id' want new valkyrie types to be done before Yamato upgrades the YF-19
  7. From your phone's picture I would say it looks like the wing on my Kai have the same thinness/transparency on the edges. I can hardly see any dents here though. Have you too experienced Chronocidal's problem connecting the wing root to the tail?
  8. Thanks for the tip Reïvaj. I did also try to use the ankle joint without pushing the foot backwards as I read what other users had experienced with their Kai. There are indeed many ways to pull off great poses without pushing the ankles back as the engeenering of this toy's joints is truly excellent
  9. There were members reporting this problem in the other VF-19 thread I think, but mine came out of the box with one loose ankle (still one of the best toys I've ever handled though) I think Graham mentioned something about paint causing the loosening problem on the ankle balljoint of the Kai and the fix being a naked piece on the 19S. Can anyone confirm the fix worked?
  10. I'm not sure if anyone is willing to try this on their's but can the feet be pushed back for aggressive gerwalk mode without risking the ankle problems as on the Kai? Anyway I'm glad there are no complaints of loose ankles out of the box, it seems that problem has been solved
  11. Fantastic! Thanks for the pics. Was the firevalk discounted as well?
  12. Thanks a lot for the info, Archer. I'll give it another try, hopefully I'll be able to find out how it works this time!
  13. I got mine from them. I had 2 problems with mine : - one loose ankle out of the box - I couldn't get the part under the nose to be flush in fighter mode. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. On mine this piece that opens and becomes the lower part or the torso in battroid mode has a 1mm gap when my 19 is in fighter mode. Other than that it's a fantastic piece, even more so with the soundboosters on
  14. I wish they did too. That's probably the comic I've read over and over the most. I also got the recent integral book (in french) with the original edition's coloring (not the horrid 90's reissue with digital colors). I heard it is a pretty limited edition, here's a link on amazon : http://www.amazon.co...1822597&sr=1-18
  15. There are just too few movies as enjoyable as this one! This is maybe the movie I enjoyed the most in 2011 as of today, fantastic all the way!
  16. I received the long awaited Robocop figma a few days back. It's my first figure in this line, and I have to say it's a very cool toy with great articulation and terrific looks. What really amazes me is that the sculpt/articulation is so spot on that anyway I pose him it will look just like it's out of the movie Now I can't wait to received my Berserk's Guts in a couple months!
  17. It's beautyful, expensive and commercially successful. I've no doubt Bandai will come back for my money with a second run in less than a year from now
  18. Fantastic custom, you did a great job on the Blowsperior! I hope you'll post some pics of your process on the Bartley, keep up the great work!
  19. I can't wait for a full video review, looks like a very cool toy rendition. Too bad I missed out, I had to skip it to get the VF-19 Kai instead!
  20. I think it looks pretty good in all modes, fighter being my favorite of all these pics of the prototype. Battroid head may look a bit weird but I think it looks faithful to the design. But like many others here I think the pricing is gone out of control... Have chinese factories production costs gone over the roof lately?
  21. Kicker : Oh I'd so love to see that! Actually I remember dreaming of having my own toy factory as a kid Mr March : amazing, your site is just amazing! Kudos to you for all the work and love you've put in it, definitely the ultimate online ressource for Macross lineart! Here's more YFZ-21's battroid mode. I screwed on the shoulders because I wanted to make it more ninja-like, they should be much larger, as in the original sketch. There's also some thoughts on gimmicks, but nothing definitive or useful so far :
  22. It looks amazing, but where are the pics of the gunpod?
