  1. Indeed, and I didn't even transform it!
  2. The VT-1 arrived today, it has the nice tinted canopy and the out of the box broken shoulder hinge too...
  3. Yamato's 1/60 V1 had metal lower legs, it didn't make it a greater toy though... I'm glad they kept the metal on the feet and the main hinge, where it's the most useful. Their excellent Hi-metal VF-19 shares this feature, and I bet this is to be expected if any more VFs were released in this line in the future (which sadly I've come to doubt)
  4. It looks so amazing!! This one is going to take Yamato's highest standards another step further
  5. Good point I'll try to pick it up although I'm more into anime Macross than the mangas. Eventually I picked up Mikimoto's "Macross 7 Trash" many years ago and I found it very boring.
  6. The images from that manga look great, no doubt I'd get one if it was to be a general release. A 1D too and I'm very curious about what the 1S looks like in this book. Has it been redesigned as well?
  7. I'd pick your SDF-1 review over CDX's, anytime Well done! and why does CDX give all that credit to Angolz anyway, are they getting free stuff from them? Last time I ordered from them I got a broken in two toy and was asked to pay for shipping back to HK to get a replacement... no more Angolz, thanks
  8. Quinjester, You Rock! Thank you for the sweet pictures
  9. I wish I had one of these NSA image processing programs you see in movies to turn these big pixels where the Fire Valkyries are into crystal clear pictures
  10. I'll let you know when I get mine. I hope it does because it would probably also have the revised shoulders fix
  11. I'm not sure if it's the same thing causing it since I haven't seen the nosecone's position on yours but I had the same problem on mine : only one side was locking and the slightest touch would dislodge it. It was only due to the nosecone not going all the way down, check some pictures above from keichii. The top part of the cockpit should come down to the level of the nose's side sensors so that both sides of the cockpit can get locked
  12. That's exactly the same order I got the other day. While I'm very happy with the VF-11C, the YF-19 "renewal" was disappointingly loose The arms couldn't hold a pose by themselves, even less with a gunpod in hand. The tail fins were floppy in fighter mode, the knees couldn't hold a A stance pose without spinning around, and I believe every single articulation and hinge (except the ratcheted ones) was completely loose on the one I got. After that I almost expected to find the crooked gunpod stowing problem... Some superglue and lots of patience fixed all these problems though
  13. Same thing happened on my YF-19 BoP, one of the canards broke though. I was so glad that Yamato packed some replacements for this piece
  14. The VF-1S's backpack is a lot much tighter than the 1J's, that's why it manages to hold the added weight of the boosters upright when in battroid mode. My 1J's backpack wasn't very tight either but I found a way to make it hold its position a little better : I added some superglue to the hinged panel on the back to make it stiffer (the one on the back that opens to allow the head to come up from fighter to battroid) as I believe it was very loose and pushed the backpack to drop more. Then I put the backpack in place and push it downwards from the top, so the double hinged articulation kind of locks down.
  15. You're probably right... but I still hope they will get over this habit, just for Basara's valkyrie. A flat texture and faded red is just not suited for the Fire Valkyrie to me, it has to be over the top, bright red and glossy!
  16. Nice pics Keiichi! The big draw of the HiMetal for me (aside from its great looks in all 3 modes and articulation) is definitely Toynami's Regult figure. Just thinking of all the cool battle scenes one can set up with a Hi Metal and a few Toyami's Regults made this thing a must have for me.
  17. I'm really glad to see in these pics that the final product will be made of a glossy bright red plastic. It looks very accurate to the M7 show and it should also have a very solid feel to it when handled
  18. Thanks for your answer and congratulations for having your fantastic collection featured in both such cool book and TV show! This year is very promising indeed for us Macross fans
  19. Great displays guys! anime52k8 > these may be few but among the few best valks ever issued. I wish I had a VE-1 too, what a great looking valk it is! Andy NYK > Cool display, it's always fun to see different renditions of one character. Takatoys > WOW! Fantastic... May I ask how many years of collecting did it take you to gather all this?
  20. Great pictures Actar, beautyful work! My will broke into pieces just before the HLJ sale was over and I ordered the renewal edition YF-19 too
  21. Thank you sir! It is indeed a huge pile: 10 Valks, 2 destroids, and more... all that on a 36X32cm shelf... 2 more valks to complete the Vermillion squadron then I'll leave it alone I swear And now everyone wants to see what you're hiding behind that drape, >EXO<! Fortunately there are no earthquakes or pets here, but even a moderate bump on the shelf would be catastrophic. I just can't help it, I love watching this thing, it's like having a giant poster, only it's in 3D I loved your pics btw, Kirik, awesome collection!
  22. These are fabulous displays Maverick, the dioramas are breathtaking especially Here's my display, sorry for the horrible photographs... The lack of shelf space is a big problem for me, causing this thing to expand vertically out of control O____O;
  23. Sorry, I wish I could take a picture but my camera is an old one and it can't take such small things even less if at close range... the screw is located on the hinge at the front of the canopy area but I had to take apart the nose (6 screws) before getting to it
