  1. I think some people are getting confused. The reason you will be able to play games imported from Japan on your US PS3 is not because they're region-free, but rather because US and Japan are now in the same region when Blu-Ray discs are concerned. Right? Perhaps it is I that am confused. I don't know anymore
  2. It's probably fine that Megs is going to be a gun. I think most fans are concerned about his bot mode anyways. I passed on Starscream, but I might get Megatron if his bot mode looks as good as Prime, err Convoy
  3. It would be awesome to have a 1/72 VF-1 battroid that looked like the Hasegawa battroids, but was as durable as a (good) toy
  4. Wow! Awesome new pics. I had been trying to tell myself that I wasn't going to buy this, but I just caved. Now I'm looking for the cheapest (yet trustworthy) place to pre-order this thing from.
  5. *sigh* Everyone thinks they're gonna get rich in 20 years by selling all of their "collectibles". Just open them and watch them, you're not gonna make much more than you paid for them, even in 20 years from now. I just bought the Animeigo boxset for $45. It had been opened and watched, but since I planned on opening it anyway, it was quite a steal.
  6. That hasn't been my experience. You might find the occasional steal on ebay or get a good deal from a MW member in the For Sale forum, but the average price for a new 1/48 is $130-$140 before shipping. Shipping tends to be around $10-$15, so you're looking at $140-$155 shipped on average. If you know a seller that sells 1/48's for $120 shipped, please let me know, because I'm still looking to pick up a few more
  7. I wouldn't have guessed you hand painted it. I don't see any obvious brush strokes. Looks like you got into all the little crevices really well also. Again, good job
  8. Heh! The MPC line got me too. Somehow, I ended up on Robotech.com, saw the VF-1S and bought it immediately.
  9. That looks awesome. So, now you have to tell us how you did it. Did you disassemble the valk to paint it? What kind of paint did you use? What color?
  10. When I finally bought the reissue Optimus Prime a few years ago I remember thinking the exact same thing...I definitely remember it being bigger, but that's because I was smaller. Things just seemed bigger when I was a child
  11. Awesome!! I've been hoping someone would do just this! Looks like a top notch job too jodokast. A little constructive critisism: paint the visor green and fix the landing gear lights on the legs. Looks really great!!
  12. Yes it is...if you're thinking it's Hasegawa's 1/72 Reactive Armor EDIT: UN Spacy beat me to it
  13. Maybe they were testing the technology because they knew they would eventually need it when they got around to the VF-1?? I have no idea really, just a guess
  14. No it's true. Imagine my shock when I got home with my new Xbox 360, plugged it in and turned it on only to find out it won't even play any games until I buy a HD-DVD ROM and subscribe to Xbox Live
  15. That's good news. I missed episodes 2 & 3. Thanks for the heads up
  16. I guess it could be a Hase model. It does look a bit small, but it's hard to tell from the pic. Seems odd to have it in that display like that though, considering that the rest of the display is full of Yamato toys.
  17. That's what it looks like to me. Well, looks like the cat's out of the bag!
  18. Congrats!!
  19. At least the seller doesn't have "RARE!! HARD TO FIND!!" in the title/description and a Buy It Now price of $199
  20. I agree. The AB looks perfect with Max's 1J FAST packs. Too bad I don't have a Max 1J Anyways, great review and great pics as usual jenius.
  21. Well, I'd crap my pants too if I was a CF pilot
  22. They look nice. Never was much of a Mospeda fan though. How big would a 1/48 Legioss be? For example, compared to a 1/48 VF-1?
  23. Wow! If this is more of a toy than a model consider me sold. I do wish it was bigger though.

  25. I too would love to see a guide for disassembling a 1/48 with pics. I need to replace the backplate (not the backpack) on my Hikaru 1A. I already have the replacement part, but I haven't attempted to do the switch because I don't know how to take it apart or where to start.
