  1. Minus the ankles, wouldn't all of those things have to be new anyway? I don't really see why they wouldn't revise everything anyway, otherwise you would have parts that seemed really antiquated engineering-wise along side parts that seem modern. It would be like the VF-27 re-release only much older and worse.
  2. I'm assuming at this point the mold has pretty much paid for itself and Bandai is taking chances with other 25 schemes because it's all profit for sales now.
  3. Man, I'm about out of room really. My collection has spread to another desk now. I need to quit buying these things and get a proper display cabinet instead.
  4. I noticed that update this morning. I was curious how the wings would fit with the legs, stabilizers, etc... Looked a bit off for the first testing.
  5. Well... that episode wasn't necessary at all.
  6. I think that's sound reasoning. If not Hikaru, some other scheme that might be different/popular. Those of us who already have two or three VF-4's aren't likely to splurge on another in the same color scheme we already have but we might just be dumb enough to buy another if it's of a different scheme.

    VF-11MAXL

It would be IMPOSSIBLE to get a transformable Maxl to look anything like that in Battroid.
  8. Talking with a friend about desperately needing some sort of Beach vacation.
  9. The Chest armor should be fine. As a matter of fact I plan to mix/match the Armor/Tornado parts on my 25G.

    YF-21 WIP

This is the best YF-21 model I've ever seen.
  11. When I first transformed my 25S I admit to having problems with getting head plate to move as well. It was the one place where the manual didn't make sense to me. I went very slow and gentle. I still couldn't figure it out. I watched either a tutorial by Veef or Jenius (can't remember who) and they showed the little lever in the front that has to be pushed for the plate to slide backward enough to pop the head out. At that point I finally got it, but until then I didn't muscle anything. So it is a little hard to do just by the picture, not reading Japanese it's possible the instruction manual is entirely clear about what is going on there.
  12. That loots pretty good in black.
  13. Thanks bro. Delicious vicariousness! By "taller" do you mean that the cockpit area is wider from bottom to top? That's one of the things I like about the two seater valks. It kind of reminds me of how the F4 looks. In hindsight I wish I had taken the plunge on one of these. I convinced myself I was getting Max's 1J so that was enough Blue Valks but the two seater design makes a bit of a difference. I'd call for more pics but you've already done me more than one favor with your wicked custom Armor in the other thread. I owe you a few now.
  14. I was curious how the VF-4 looked with the black hands. Post some pics of it up like that too.
  15. So these larger pictures do reveal that the cockpit is different, albeit very slightly. It's literally only a few millimeters longer, just enough to eliminate a bit of crystal and provide a little more room and change the canopy shape. It's cool looking, I'm getting one. Not sure which mode it would be posed in while not being played with. I like the head but it's a striking color scheme in fighter/gerwalk. This one may be a rotational valk for me.
  16. If the red hands matched the red stripes that would look really good actually.
  17. I'm personally taking credit for the forearm cannons.
  18. Wow, what did you use for the lights?
  19. He's joking.
  20. I've honestly never had that part lock...
  21. You simply have to finish this model. It's turning into one of my all time favorites. I know this design is going to be your own thing but are you taking inspiration from the TV or movie version?
  22. All of this old-school stuff reminds me of the VERY FIRST song I ever asked my parents to buy for me (when I was three years old.) I can't believe they did.
  23. Apparently someone doing the early morning programming on the "old school" channel here in Albuquerque was inspired by, or paying tribute to, Harold Ramis as they played this: then this: And they rounded it out with the extended version of this. Can't be a coincidence.
  24. Yeah, it's an ugly, toy-like beige. It sure doesn't feel as high quality as the rest of the Bandai renewals.
