  1. Well, if they decide to make a 0S or 0A the only thing stopping them from mixing and matching the different parts for the 0B and 0C is sales projections.
  2. Err, didn't they already announce they were going to reissue the Tornado Parts along with a third Alto release next year?
  3. I'm going to be a complete ass, I hope both of your budgets are SCREWED. I want this thing now.
  4. I wonder if they'll make any other variants of the YF-30? Tking has brought up an issue of mine (and a silly issue it is, really.) I like to have three of everything to pose in each mode. I don't know if I should jump at three of these or wait to see.
  5. Surprisingly, I am more anxious for this release then any other they've done before.
  6. Did anybody happen to get a look at the underside of the wings to see if they still have the hard points on it?
  7. Yup, looks like that thing is about ready to go at any time.
  8. So did you miss the part when the Transformers guy came in here and started bashing Macross first?
  9. This seems like a pretty big hint, actually. The thing with the latest release date in that photo is the 25G Tornado parts. So I'm assuming the YF-30 is after that. Also, those G parts really do look like they're drooping badly.
  10. This thing is bonkers!
  11. Currently that sits at around $275 for me, which is more like the cost of the VF-17. The actual dollar amount for the VF-19S/F/P was around $230 each. It is lower then the VF-4G was, however, but the YF-19 is infinitely more popular so it's likely they know they can sell more and the price is adjusted down to reflect that.
  12. I never got an SV-51. I'm hoping they'll release a new version at some point.
  13. That isn't true. I paid 19,357 for the 19S, 18,720 for my 19F and 18,700 for my 19P. As opposed to the YF-19 which I've pre-ordered for 28,980. The YF-19 is more like the cost of the VF-4. Actually, that's even more then I paid for the VF-17D with the Super Packs which was 25,180.
  14. lechuck beat him to it.
  15. The 17 came before the 19 or 21 so it's still the first.
  16. I suppose that's possible, those larger wings do make it a lot more back heavy then the other 0's or VF-1's.
  17. It is looking like that's the case. If so it's a dumb oversight by Arcadia.
  18. Too bad there's no Gerwalk pic. It spent a ton of time in that mode on the show.
  19. ...I...Laughed...So...Hard...
  20. That's what I thought he meant too. Though speaking of the '84 Dune movie, the concept of the sonic weapons was pretty cool (if useless) and allowed for some great RTS game fodder in the 90's. So not a complete travesty, just think of it like Dune-Side Story or something.
  21. And coming from Transformers you've made two mistakes in your thinking. 1) Transformers are WILDLY popular all across the world and 2) Transformers can be marketed and sold all across the world. The number of potential sales means the cost per unit can be lower. Macross toys can't be sold out side of Japan, and Macross isn't really all that popular in Japan either, that means the audience is severely limited and the price for each toy must rise to ensure everything is paid for. If you don't care for the Valks, don't buy them, but it's not like someone decided "well, this is Macross, you pay more for Macross because we say so." I'm quite sure Arcadia would be thrilled to sell a $90 YF-19 all across the world if they could do it.
  22. That would be cool too but it we're going by what can be reused over and over it's 25's.
  23. There's really no comparison. Bandai exclusively makes Macross Frontier toys. The Mac F Valks are significantly skinnier then other Macross Valks anything else produced would look "chunkier" however they don't have VF-1's/4's/11's/17's/19's/21's so it's a non-issue. The Bandai Valks are made of a very shiny material which a few really like but most feel looks very cheap/toy-like. The Yamato/Arcadia Valks are all matte and look more like models, which I personally prefer. So far Arcadia has only produced VF-1's, and in that instance they're EXACTLY the same quality as the Yamato V2's.
  24. I didn't know the Glaug had been used in Battletech as well.
  25. I've made some efforts to try to translate some of this myself. Calling my Japanese rudimentary would be an over-statement. Way, way over my head here.
