    Mig's looking great! Playing with fiber optics today.. 1st Fiber Optic try.. Green 12volt LED with heat shrink of various sizes and a tiny bit of e tape.. Superglue the fiber to the top of the LED and flush mounted on a piece of styrene.. easy!

    Amazing tiny work on that SSD! @neptunesurvey! If you were asking about the screen decal with the space station on it, yes, that is the DS-9 station. I tried to get all DS-9 referenced monitor displays for the interior. I cheated on a couple, but most are from the show at some point, having to do with the wormhole, the Dominion invasion or Runabout systems. I even photoshoped a tiny Sisco/Dax image into a spot on one of them. It's the thought that counts right?

    Overall shape -- good, not perfect, but I'll take it. Paint colors...terrible! Definitely needs better paint. Details...look good. I say scale it down to 1/3000, make just the engines light up, I DON'T need ridiculous amounts of super bright LED's all over the ship and I for sure DON'T need sounds!! Keep the price out of the stratosphere and I would bite.

    I pre-ordred Moff Gideon Black Series...Comes with the dark saber! Gotta get the rest of the crew if I can find them at retail or less!

    I agree the biggest challenge will be the sheer weight of the thing. I also wanna see the sheer amount of people whining if if comes with water slide decals you have to put on yourself! Surely everything will be tampo printed for that price....right??? I'd be livid if they weren't!

    Amen to all of that! I sincerely hope the finished product looks better than those promo pics. The Enterprise D is a very hard thing to get right, especially concerning shape, color, lighting and aztecking. I'll be very curious to see the build up process.

    @MechTech , Ok, soo...I have to admit, I've never built a Hasegawa kit. I have a Hase 1:48 F-22 in my to build pile, along with the 1:72 YF-19 and YF-21, what makes them so revered? I've done my share of modern Bandai kits and I know they aren't on that level of epic engineering, but what is it about them that makes people like them so much, I've watched others builds around here over the years and they don't seem to have perfect fit and finish, so I ask those who have them, what's the draw? Is it just because they do the "best" Macross kits out there?

    Runabout update! Rear cabin roof and LEDs installed, custom decals printed and installed for lots of screens all over the interior. I'm thinking that this ship would be a tactical command unit, so lots of big screen monitors and LCARS displays. Also sealed up, and puttied light leaks and seams on the impulse engines.

    Runabout front cockpit and transporter room complete. People and chairs coming later.. Taking votes for easter egg black tie fighter pilot repainted in Trek colors standing at the console or in the transporter... LOL

    I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Prowse a few years ago at a con in Irving. He wasn't in the best of health even then. A very humble, gentle giant of a man. I shook his hand and his hand engulfed mine (I'm not a small guy), paid for him to autograph one of the pics they were selling at his table. It sits behind me in my Star Wars case behind my Master Replicas Darth Vader ESB saber. I'll never forget meeting Darth Vader. RIP sir. Thank you for all the memories!
