  1. Love it!
  2. Woke up early this morning before work and got the outer DS panels painted with some Tamiya light blue mixed with about 1/3 flat white for a good base color. Gloss coated and ready for hand painting other panels at some point....give me strength!
  3. @peter -- honestly, yeh, I thought the same thing, but after watching some YT videos and looking at the parts, it just really doesn't work doing it with panel liner. I also tried drybrushing with silver along the edges, that kind of worked..kinda...but you have to put in the work and go in and paint the edges of the parts so they show up from the side. I could have kept going for days, but I wanted to move on. It's tedious to say the least. Had to wear my magnifiers the whole time...
  4. Mondays on MW Forums---good for what ails ya!
  5. Why do you guys fear gloss coats? Tamiya spray can gloss coat TS-13 is all I ever use. Never had an issue whatsoever. Two coats and all is well. Nice and shiny. Easy peasy. I was able to finish up and snap together the Death Star interior yesterday, not sure how much will be seen, but hey, whatevs! I had an audience yesterday whilst painting...no pressure...
  6. Amazing smaaaaalll work! I am watching an ongoing build on YouTube of a guy doing a 1:200 Battleship Missouri with SHEETS of ridiculously small photoetch parts that have to folded, bended and in some cases curled, then painted and glued. I don't know how people do it on that level..it's insane! But it does look amazing in the end! Only done a little photoetch so far, the Moebius Galactica set and the Yamato SDF-1 1/2000 set. I'm not scared, but if definitely takes practice!
  7. Gonna watch movie 1,2, and 3, (yeh, I know, but I'm one of the few that liked 3) , then rewatch Cobra Kai and hopefully introduce the wife to it at the same time! Can't wait for Season 3!
  8. That is seriously insane! I would love to see that in person!
  9. OMG!!! Dobber you do man!!! That is absolutely gorgeous!
  10. What's up with the number on the bottom of the wing? Do all the DX's have that and I just missed it?
  11. Open the damn theaters! I'm going. I'm not scared in the slightest. F COVID-19.
  12. I was NOT sir! Very cool indeed! Not this time around though. I'd prob use the outer ones, but the inner ones I think would not work well because of all the raised detail.
  13. I began the arduous task of handpainting the miniscule interior part details on the Death Star yesterday. 3 done, 3 to go.
  14. ....AHEM.... tryyyyyin to get some pre-work done here...
  15. Dang, this thing is bigger than you think it is! There's like 20 parts to this kit.. LOL! Uuuuunfortunately, there is no interior. None. Zero, zip, nada. Soooo.... I'm not willing to pay for all of the parts that are available on Shapeways, I'm sure they would be amazing but I can't drop over $100 on that for a $20 kit, however, I found a YouTube build with a cheaper alternative solution that I will be kind of following with some upgrades of my own along the way. However, not right now. This one's going in the closet for a while!
  16. Because it's Friday and I'm the only one still at work at my job, I decided to figure out which of my Eaglemoss Star Trek ships were close in scale to my newly completed Bandai 1/5000 Star Destroyer. I always wondered this a kid..just how big WAS a Star Destroyer next to and Enterprise??? Well, Memory Alpha as it happens has all the actual scales listed for all the Eaglemoss releases and it turns out the Enterprise E is very close at 1/4680! The Galaxy and Nebula are not far off, still in the realm of 1/5000 at about 1/4610 for the D. So here's a pic of (roughly) what that would look like in universe!
  17. ON THAT NOTE! Amazon just delivered the 1:72 Runabout re-pop to my doorstep!
  18. I kinda like the Klingon Flagship one. Never played the game though.

    Hi-Metal R

Maybe 2021 will the year of RE-HMR-R engagement for Bandai!
  20. See, I was in the opposite camp, I didn't care for it before I panel lined it, there's just to much grey and nothing to break it up.

Kamjin/Khyron or Boldozza/Dolza will be next I'd wager.
  22. The VF-4G's are a nightmare (no pun intended) to panel line. Go with the PF!
