Woooow! Sorry that happened @arbit I could never work for a company like that. What I do on my time is no one's damn business but mine! (as long as it's legal of course)!

Thanks! My whole office is basically another model/toy display space away from my house..LOL. My bosses are cool like that though.

So the drones were taken from the episode where Yellow meets the old flame in the mountain town with the rich jerk boyfriend and then rich jerk bf sends the red/blue/green drones to make sure she gets away right? Don't remember there being a Dark or "Shadow" variant? But I haven't watched Mospeada or New Gen in a long time...

I'll try to get some better pics later tonight after dark. It's really hard to get a good pic of the thing with the lights on with my phone, I don't have a prof camera setup. I checked the engine block like 3 dozen times with my mod and everything was fine on the bottom part, It was when I tried to snap the top hull down that things got off. I trimmed off all the aligning pegs and then glued the top hull to the bottom. The sides closed up nicely, the back just didn't. It's not a perfect kit, maybe if you build it with Bandai's light kit it would be better, but I think their method was stupid with a huge battery pack you have to take the model apart for every time you want to turn it on. The main issue with the bigger gap on the right side of the engine block is there is no little triangle shaped wall piece on that side molded in like there is on the left. I guess Lucasfilm didn't have it so Bandai didn't to it either, which sucks. Whatever, I learned a lot, the model looks great at a glance, if I had it to do over, yeh, I wouldn't light it. just build it normal and call it a day.

Well... We're all finished up here at the Imperial Shipyards. Please remember this was a 1st of many things for me. Deciding to design my own LED 2 light system and make a custom base for AC power, not batteries. Also first time trying out a new painting technique. Anyways, it's not perfect around the back, but the front, top, bottom and sides look damn good IMHO. The engines themselves look great, but the poor fit of the kit around the engine block was my problem. I might try to shove some old kit parts or grey styrene strips in there but I dunno. Enjoy the pics!

I picked up some small slidey clampy thingies at Harbor Freight today, Sunday is my 45th Bday, so this thing IS going to have some cutting, sanding, hammering, drilling, clamping, gluing, whatever the f@ck it takes to have it completed by sundown Sunday night by golly! Ready to move on!

That Batman Returns, the Tumbler and the OG Batmobile are just awesome! Super Jelly. Also, there's something about the animated one that just ... kind of really works! Never watched the show, but that is one cool ride! -

I still refuse to watch Picard, as much I absolutely love the "old" Jean Luc Picard from TNG, I just can't go for Stewart's personal political soapbox show.- 2171 replies

The parts aren't warped out of the box, if I went balls out, clamped and glued the sh*t out of the thing I think it would cause the upper hull to have a slight upwards bend to it, so I'm going to try to find a better way. And yeh, I didn't WANT to have to glue if for that exact reason, if my LED's have a problem down the road, I could pop it apart and try to repair.

Mean while...back over here in the land of "Expensive Bandai kits that are SUPPOSE to just snap together but don't"..... So the Star Destroyer is ready to go on the stand permanent like and final connections made, however, one small problem..HA! The upper and lower halves DO NOT line up and go together. The engine block makes that impossible once you get the back of the ship together, the middle and front pegs don't align. I've been doing some reading on other threads and apparently this is a common problem unfortunately. A lot of reports of the hull warping upwards when the build is completed, and now I understand why. Surgery and a lot of superglue may be needed to get this thing together..*SIGH* SO close....but yet so far. Gotta say, the newer Bandai Star Wars stuff is not as great as the little bit older Bandai stuff. IT was for intents and purposes, perfect.

Final painting finished. I'm at my done point on this. Ready to move on to other projects. Those little ships really are LITTLE! LOL! But hey, they are painted! Did it with the point of a finishing nail. Final light test done, everything still works, finished up the engine light block box this morning. Will try to get the hull halves together this evening, but I've heard that can be difficult.

Final thinned white blend layers applied. Opinions? Thoughts? I'm good with it I think.... Might do some Tamiya smoke layers maybe.. I dunno...
