True story--actually, in hind site, I could have put the engines mostly together as well, the dark brown parts, which I took the the time to do in a nice dark Metalizer, were pretty much totally concealed, so no one will ever know how pretty they are! . I'm finding as I get older, I'm really starting to not care much about parts of a model that will never be seen by human eyes. Like cockpits and pilots for example! Sure, I am going to paint them, but I use to love older kits that just had flat panels for all the controls and a small water slide decal to put on for the instruments. Now the Bandai kits have the decals, but all the control surfaces in the cockpits are raised details, which is fantasic, but looks like warmed over steaming crap if you try to put a decal over it! I don't care how much decal solution you use! So a dark color base coat and a tiny bit of silver drybrushing over the controls and I'm freakin done! Also, Bandai's freaking obsession with clear cockpits (decals, stickers or mask and paint) or frame only cockpits --uhhhhhggggg. Seriously..just give me a frakin clear window piece that snaps inside the frame piece!!! OK..rant mode off I do love these kits, really! The detail is awesome!

Arcadia releases will be available after the initial release date, they aren't like Bandai products. Don't worry, HLJ and AmiAmi will more than likely have it upon release.

Slightly boring painting session this morning airbrushing Model Master Light Grey enamel over light grey plastic, but whatever.. Y Wing painting now complete!... and... the man behind the mask!... sort of! OMG selfie!!!! hahaha

The thing that totally excited me was the addition of ENGLISH translations for the A-Wing and Tie Interceptor! Not that there was ever much need, but bravo Bandai for the change!!! Meaning they KNOW Americans are buying these kits over the CRAPTASTIC Revell kits that are for sale here! I just looked at some at Hobby Lobby today and OMG....ick!!! The Tie Interceptor is a definite improvement over the Vader Tie in ease of painting the solar panels!!! -

WOOOW!!! if you guys got that for $4, I'm just gonna say good job!!! I have all 3 and paid about $70-$80 a piece back in the day. They aren't bad toys. Best Beta/Tread we're likely to see IMHO.

Yeh, most of the character /small vehicle kits I've picked up for about $25-30 each with free shipping. Just gotta wait it out. The brand new stuff off Evilbay is usually about $40 - The Speeder Bike/Scout was about that - being a larger kit and all.

My feelings exactly..however..I agree 100% with the color of the FP's. Not really to go with the 1D, but for a "Rick" or Roy..they would be far better than Yamato/Arcadia's color choice!!!

No problem..happy to help..The lights are from Ikea, I don't have a link, but I can post a pic of the box when I get home tonight. I use one strip per shelf under the top wooden shelf and then under the next 3 glass shelves. Be advised -- the included sticky strips don't hold well, especially on the wood top. I had to get some dual locking heavy duty velcro and cut small strips..so far they are holding

There are 4 light strips in each cabinet, got the 2nd one done yesterday.. friendly piece of advise... put the lights in AS you build your Detolf.. trust me on this.. LOL.

I disagree with the 1:48 Valk. Unless your a die hard fan of the sheer size, there's nothing the 1/60 ver.2 doesn't do better IMHO. I had the Focker 1:48 and got rid of it years ago. The flaps are annoying and fall off, and the proportions are wacky in battroid.

Got my Bandai 1/100 Gundam figures in the mail. Gonna paint them tomorrow hopefully. They scale very well with The Monster. Will post pics after painting.
