STAR WARS Merchandise Episode - 2

THAT is just ducking fantasically nerdy and I would totally have it in my house!!! -
As far as anyone knows, the 1:48 line is dead and buried. Arcadia is re-releasing some 1/60ver.2's at a horribly slow rate, the only other game in town is the Ban Dai HMR line, which if you have Yamato's, you won't really like for the money they charge, and the new maybe/maybe not vaporware 1/20 Valk from Max Factory.

Hell, I would bite on a nice low vis repaint with fixed legs of the VF-0D real damn quick!!!

I agree with the fiddly part, both arms popped off mine during first transformation, lost one for 15 minutes down in the depths of the couch...nosecone flew off at one point too, luckily I saw where it went. It's not a bad transformation, but the arms are tough and the head on mine doesn't seem like it lays flat enough in fighter mode and it's difficult to get it rotated properly and get the swing bar up flat under it all at the same time.

I really want an AutoArt Countach but I just despise those gold wheels SO much! -

Ok...Hi metal R. well... this is my first Valk of the line, in short, it's... cute. No, it's no Yamato V2, but we all know this. I do like the swappable baby wings for battroid, very cool, I don't hate the landing gear swap either, actually, it's easier than the Yamato, but, as others have stated gotta keep up with all the parts. Fighter mode looks a bit... fat from some angles compared to the Yamato stuff, especially from the underside and rear, GERWALK and Battroid are where the toy shines IMHO. It does go nicely with the Regults as well. I'll keep my order for the stand alone 1J to pose with the Glaug, but I don't think I'll do any more. Bring on the Destroids and more enemies!

Ebay for Autoarts sold new from sellers with a great history and free shipping in the US is the way I go. Same for HWE and others. -
TomyTec VF-1A 1/144. No paint, very little glue, no panel lines. Great little kits! They really nailed fighter mode!
-
First VF-1A done! Great little kits.. the ONLY parts that will drive you to the edge of sanity are the two tiiiiiny dual antennas under the nose. Damn.. LOL. You have to glue them in. Everything else is great. 1 down, 2 to go!
-
damn you guys --- ordered the Rick Hunter special.

great build!

Thanks Spanner! The Hot Wheels Elite -- (the line is DEAD now I think) is the best bang for the buck out there. All the Ferrari's I have are fantastic!! The detail on my 599 GTO and F-12 Belinetta are great! 98% as good as any Autoart IMHO and I didn't pay over $100 for any of them except LaFerrari I think. I have heard complaints about that one, but honestly, mine is perfect! And it's SOOoooo sexy! I highly recommend picking up any and all Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari's you can while they are fairly cheap still! And the Pagani Huarya IS my prize possession Autoart along with the Bugatti Veyron. They are just on a whole other level of detail, especially the Pagani. Another level of price as well!!! OUCH! -

The A Vent and A Door's..LOL. are great! I have the dark grey with brown interior. It was BEFORE Autoart started with the plastic or "composite" style of cars. Which IMHO look fine, but do feel rather cheap in comparison to the older school AutoArts. I just don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth with them. I only own one so far .. the Alfa Romeo 4C. What are your guys thoughts??? That General Lee, McClaren F1 and Zonda are just gorgeous!!! I'll put some pics up of mine this evening! -
True Story!!! 100%!
-
that looks GREAT!! Hope mine turns out half that good! Did you paint everything?
