  1. just water. They slid right off the paper. No issues. I don't know what film could be on there, and even if there is, I can't tell and I've already sealed it anyways.
  2. I didn't gloss coat, but it might make them a little easier to tweak once down if you do. I didn't have any film to remove after they were on the model. I did go with the wrong size 03 for my front canard though, wish I had gone one size smaller!
  3. Hahaha! Took me a minute! Nice.
  4. Nice Autoarts! I'll have to post some pics of mine! Also nice Virgin Road! I was super lucky and got mine back when they were shelf warmers for like $80 along with Max and Millia for about $130 each! Ahh the good old days ehh!
  5. I applied them just like water slides. Once they go down though they aren't easy to move. FYI.
  6. Thanks! That VF2-SS looks like a fun build!
  7. Way to small for markers. Remove canopy and other part in front of canopy, then do a gloss cleacoat. Use a wash for the panel lines, then do a flat or semi gloss coat to finish up. Replace canopy and other part. Easy.
  8. These things are amazing! The detail is mind blowing. Far better than the Delta Valks. Going to build them this weekend hopefully!
  9. That blue would have almost been passable as the VF-0D blue....certainly closer than what they ended up with...
  10. If anyone doesn't want the newer decals they come with I'll be happy to take them!!!
  11. Good luck to all who are going to go in for this mayhem and chaos!! I applaud your efforts! I'll just be sleeping! I'll enjoy reading the aftermath! I'm betting less than 3 minutes.

    Hi-Metal R

Ohhh...dammmmit...reeeeally kinda want one to fight with my Glaug...damn you Bandai.
  13. Maybe I'll hang it from the ceiling in my office at work....
  14. That looks great! I've got that kit in my to build pile! Thinking about doing it next, very nervous about it as I've never done a transformable kit, but these look like the real deal. I just have a feeling it's gonna be one of those kits where the first one will be a massive learning curve!
  15. Yeh, it went flying and I never saw it again...which is rare for me to loose a part. Wherever it is, it's hid good! LOL
  16. Finished Ban Dai's 1/72 Tie Interceptor kit today. Fun quick little kit. Lost one little F'N piece, looked for it for 2 hours, hopefully it'll turn up. Went with Gun Metal then Metalizer Dark Anodizing Silver over that for the base. Tie color is Light Grey /Neutral Grey with a dash of blue. Came out good! Gloss coat and a simple Dark Dirt wash and then a flat coat to round it out. Scratch made the front window glass as well. :-)
  17. I think that's pretty sweet for $5. Might have to pick one up eventually.
  18. I know your probably joking, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use a respirator when doing ANYTHING with lacquer or enamel paints! Trust me, you don't want the headaches.
  19. Decanting Tamiya's and then airbrushing them is the absolute best way to do things. It's just fantastic through an airbrush, and no thinning required! I've only tried it with the TS line however, which is lacquer based.
  20. Just pickup up my first TomyTec 1/144 VF-1's from HLJ. Two on sale VF1A's and the VF1J! Can't wait!
  21. I'm only at about the half way point, and it has it's cool moments with the Mecha...buuuut they aren't as prolific as we might like..and a LOT of fighter mode so far, not much robot..and LOTS of singing girls...
  22. I'll buy another 31 if I have to in order to get that one with that decal!
  23. yeh!! what about that???!!
  24. I agree. Prob $100-$130ish
  25. That's just straight sexy right there.
