  2. @derex3592 I've had problems with clears also, though mine are usually the clear coat eating through the top layer of paint and leaving the shading showing through in glaring patches. Hope the matt coat helps it. @tekering Looks like those figures are a good fit! You could probably make your own stop-motion episode!
  3. Today
  4. I think they did a great job with the ending. The fact people (not just here) are arguing about what it means is a good sign as well. My favorite bit from the ending is the next batch of kids running down to play DnD. That was a perfect way to say this story is over.
  5. Some mostly earlier kits used stickers, but most of the recent ones have pre painted pats and waterslide decals for markings. Am currently doing the Tekkaman Blade kit and it does have two and only two almost unnoticeable parts that are not in their proper colors on the back of the heal. Other than that it’s perfect color accuracy with pre painted metallic eyes and one part that is prepainted red for color accuracy. Basically if you’re a lazy builder and just want to slap the thing together, you’ll do better than a Bandai kit. Articulation is pretty great as well. With the Mospeada kits, it does list markings with waterslide decals, something extremely rare in Bandai kits and pre painted faces. And don’t forget to check out the hand details, because they even did the stitching on the gloves, and extra hands, something Bandai tends to forget about sometimes. I don’t doubt there will be a few details here and there that could use a bit of work, but I don’t think it would be too much or even highly noticeable
  6. Just finished bingeing part 2 and the finale. Finale was ok. But for me, the show overall was very entertaining with memorable characters, and I'll probably rewatch the whole thing in a year or two. Some of the things in the final season really tested my capacity for suspending my disbelief.
  7. I like songs that are slower.

  9. As the balcony railings are added, I decided to try a couple Patlabor figures to confirm scale: This has been my experience as well. 👍
  10. Remember, fold boosters are mainly for short-ranged fold navigation and the early models were exclusively short-ranged and single-use. That 4th Gen Valkyrie using a fold booster to insert itself behind enemy lines to rescue hostages or strike command ships or bases is not crossing the galaxy. It's coming from a ship or base that's at most 20 light years away. An impossibly vast distance for sublight flight, but practically just across the street in fold navigation terms. The sort of trip that fold-capable ships can make almost instantly. That Valkyrie isn't a one-man-army. There's a carrier, a taskforce, or potentially even a whole fleet hanging around just outside the area of operations waiting for a signal or an agreed time to move in and capitalize on the confusion of a now leaderless enemy or suppress the hostage-takers now that they no longer have hostages to hide behind. "Escape" may be as simple as linking up with a carrier that just popped out of fold space a few dozen kilometers away, or SSTOing back to orbital space where a pack of heavily armed warships just arrived. (For a really good example, consider Operation Stargazer, where Max used a fold booster to jump directly from orbit to a planet's surface instead of across interstellar distances, making a surprise entry to launch a reaction weapon with the intention of escaping back to his ship in orbit.)
  11. Bandai S.H. Figuarts - One Piece - Future Island Egghead - Tony Tony Chopper Action Figure x 3
  12. I was eyeing a Moderoid kit but eventually didn't buy it cuz there were some rather large unpainted details that they supplied stickers for, kinda like the HG Macross kits. Found out by watching a video build on YT. Also watched a few reviews and the nice ones were custom painted and didn't use the stickers. Not sure about other kits... may entirely depend on the figure. Hoping it'll be minimal for these ride armors cuz I'm lousy with stickers and even worse at painting.
  13. Nice! I just ran out to pick up the Delorean myself! It was getting sold out at a few local Lego stores and completely backordered online, so I was lucky to find it at a physical store. The figures are better than the big Delorean!
  14. Hey @derex3592 - it has happened to me before, but it usually lightens back up once you've clear coated it over with a super flat clear coat again. Super flat finishes scatter the light differently than glossy surfaces and often appears lighter. It might not get you back to exactly the lightness you had, but it should get you back at least 85% to where you were. Very nice pre-shading BTW!
  15. Taco Tia time
  16. Basically how I feel. Good ending not perfect , leave some room for a few things if they sector explore them. There’s a Nancy Wheeler set of novels popping up similar to Nancy Drew mysteries, that I’ll probably never read
  17. Yeah. I would just as soon assume they had some kind of other plan to fold out, as just using STL “flight performance” and stealth to escape from the situations outlined above where a fold-in was necessary is, quite frankly, absurd in most cases.
  18. Okay, I'm all done, and here are my thoughts: I have been watching the show as it came out so I’m a terrible judge of what contradictions or loose threads the finale may have had because nothing is fresh enough in my mind. So, I have some nits but overall I thought it was a fun ride and a good ending to a very fun show.
  19. Ah, I knew it would be obvious in hindsight!
  20. I can still see the preshading; fainter than you had it, but still there. Could you possibly hit it with flat coat and use dark chalk pastels to try to bring the preshading back out? I'd hate to see you have to start all over...
  21. Thanks for the info @jenius!!
