    Not a bad price considering the rarity, but yeah, I haven't seen much fanfare about it. Maybe because they were testing the waters for this product line with a fairly unremarkable design? I know it was a headliner for AC4, but I don't recall that game getting nearly as much fanfare as 4A when it dropped. I do keep hoping they'll do more figures at this level though, since the first one wasn't really a design I was interested in. They put out a White Glint though, and I will be all over it immediately.

    ...Huh, well that's both underwhelming and mildly annoying. Maybe it's because I've recently went through stories on the generic side like M3, Digital Mission VF-X, and 7 Trash, but I'm not necessarily of a fan of how the franchise defaults to making rogue Zentradi being the only source of Anti-UN activity within the government's sphere, when we had material like Zero showing that humans are still as a big as jerks as we can be. I suppose it is supposed to be some kind of irony that the one fleet who went over and beyond with their cybernetics is the one population that had no Zentradi at all, but still....It definitely makes me appreciate VF-X2 for playing it a bit smarter then just yet more jolly green giant falling back to instincts. Reminds me of one VF-1 Master File book that had a small blurb about Regults being stationed as garrison units for Macross City because some giants were unable to be micloned....Which had to suck for them and others who had the same issue when the ban was put in place. Even with the ban in place I'd imagine some areas being more savvy to researching it. Rich places like the Frontier fleet of course had a island block dedicated to them, and Ouroboros has a notable population of Zentradi that work as giants, even with specified mining suits for them. And at least with 30's novelization having some of their woes being treated as nothing more then "walking Destroids," if not living as one full time, instances can exist where some study can be done with them in a somewhat consistent basis. I wonder if that was the material's way of having both SDF and DYRL designs work in tandem one another, where the former could be seen as his miclone appearance without the specialized brain capacity of a archivist type. Would that imply that with some cases miconization would actively change the physical form of someone if necessary? Macross Outside Story seems to suggest something like that, since it mentions giants having the placement and even amount of internal organs being modified, where their miclone bodies are the exact same as humans. Something's bound to change during the process. Does seem like with his case, alongside Guld's and Micheal's, that even if some were more overstated then others, that they were still playing with the concept of unforseen consequences of Zentradi hybrids, or at the very least with Klang's, Zentran born through normal reproduction. Makes me wonder the other quirks we see with others in Frontier are a result of that, like Ranka's emotive hair, and a background one that I could've sworn had orc-like tusks. Definitely can be an amazing in-universe study on how random it is and why some are hit harder then others, since Guld seems like the odd man out regarding his enhanced aggression with other half-Zentradi, and Micheal's incapability to become giant. (Well ignoring the fact that they're not as marketable as those like Ranka and the Jenius daughters lol.) Ernest being half-Zentran intrigues me somewhat; in Delta's mini theatre it presents him with a very extensive (and quite frankly questionable) career going between many insurgent forces; specifically the Kamujin Clan, rogue Zentradi, and Black Rainbow, which surprised me the most considering most of the animated material opted to not really mention or reference spin off material. Kamujin's mention also caught me off guard since his reign on Earth didn't really last beyond two years. I'm only assuming he'd have remnants to follow where he couldn't? His character page in Macross Chronicle did mention a child he was rumored to have with Laplamiz...

    The one-two punch of the prison escape then Luthen’s awesome monologue sent it to another level. And who’d have thought they’d make compelling, layered characters out of cereal-eating Syril and typical, rank-climbing antagonist Dedra? Even the minor characters are well developed.

    Andor has always been among the very best Star Wars has had to offer... IMO, it crossed the line to being The Best back in "One Way Out" and cemented its permanent residency in the top spot with "Rix Road". Haven't seen the new episodes yet (that's tonight), but I am VERY much looking forward to it.

    I came to that impression back on Aldani, and the whole Ghorman arc has confirmed it. I don't think there's any question. Maybe if The Empire Strikes Back had been over twenty hours long, it could've been as dramatic as Andor has proven to be...

    There was a moment during last night's three-episode arc where I wondered to myself if this was the best Star Wars has ever been.

    It better be. The Ally X already is. That said, as developers start making ray tracing mandatory the Ally and Ally X are struggling. I can barely get 30fps in AC Shadows with everything on low settings and some pretty aggressive upscaling. The flip side, though, is that with the tariffs and what not I'm feeling like the Ally 2 is going to cost more than $1000, leaving plenty of room for the Steam Deck to sell to people who just don't want to pay that much for a handheld.

    I get your points on the Lego building. They have been mostly facades in my childhood too (see 6080 or 6392). And I get that you can easily modify the sets because of the basic nature of Lego blocks. However, with this train station it looks like this is even easier. Just buy three and bush them together like books on a shelf and you have a whole building (of course it is not so easy see for example the elevator). Rant: I also find it difficult to modify current Lego sets with other pieces from current Lego sets. For one thing, they are build with contrast pieces inside that makes building them easier (supposedly). Your bright teal and pink comes to mind. Then you have too many colors nowadays. I was trying to rebuild the Minecraft turtle house and I had three slightly different shades of green to distinguish and sort out. You also have too many different pieces so you are trying to find what you need in a see of greeble. This makes it all in all more difficult to build something on your own. Compared to the 80s where you had a limited palette both in colors and pieces (my child mind was blown discovering a brown Lego piece in my first Pirates set). With the Arctic sets I enjoy them from afar. I didn’t mean to imply that only kids can enjoy them but rather that Lego designed something that my kid self would enjoy. Nowadays my Lego collection is fairly limited to basically Minifig scaled OT Star Wars vessels. My budget (mostly time and display space) is limited so I have to pick and choose what I collect and not just buy what I think looks neat.

    I just bought this for an incredibly good price on Mandarake (~$380 shipped); when I receive it I'll be sure to share photos and thoughts on it. Very few reviews in any language on this figure so far.

    I don’t hate the Dom, but the third leg is definitely weird. It’s probably the only thing I really don’t like on it, but there’s already better Dom kits out there. Kinda like the big kneecaps though
