I've thought about it and I know the next DX release... It will be the Hikaru VF-1J anniversary edition arriving in December with new flight stand that says "8 Years!"
-
I would much rather overthink something than underthink it. That's how we ended up with Discovery and Dave Filoni's take on Star Wars.

I'd do a clearcoat to protect it; even after it's dried, paint can rub off after a while and you also don't want the paint to pick up dirt and grime.
-
My bet is the next Hi-Metal R announced will be the Brutishdog. However, I'd quite like either a Diving Beetle or Standing Turtle / Standing Tortoise. I'm currently rewatching the Kummen arc of the TV series. 😅 A Marshydog would also be OK. However, my number 1 most wanted AT is still the Burglarydog, closely followed by a ground type Fatty.

Thanks! I wanted to develop a new adversary for my pet project, Star Trek: Alpha Centauri. It was getting to be a "one-villain show" if you know what I mean.

Just read abt it. That old school emotional edge to his artwork, esp facial expressions, always got to me. RIP to a legend. Thank you for the memories.

Oh no, that's a completely different market. Bandai routinely releases Robot Spirits and RG model kits concurrently (even though they're the same scale), 'cause some like to make models and some like to collect completed action figures. Furthermore, 1:20 Scopedog models are more than twice the size of the HMRs (even though they cost half as much). 😅

I have been on and off working on my reissue Arcadia sdf-1 and I strongly suggest to finish with topcoat to protect your work - freshly applied paint rubbed off multiple times as I handled it along the way..

I remember a lot of the stuff he worked on back in the 80’s. Lots of cool memories

Maybe they'll reissue 1A and 1S Hikaru and Roy DYRL Hi-Metal R. Throw in the chest fillers, a new stand, and call it a day.

I want to ask if I want to panel line and paint fluorescent colour on my 1/3000 SDF1, do I need to spray clear coat or just straight paint?
-
I guess it makes sense right They are doing another release of the VF-1S GBP in April 2026 or something I thought They just keep the factory running and put out a bunch more VF-1S valks in prep for the August 2026 release Hopefully end of this year we'll see something non VF-1J and non VF-1S...unless they pause the DX line and go with the 1/55 they were showcasing When is the next anniversary, 2027 for the 45th? That is when we'll likely see a CF DX VF-1, it would make sense its in episode 1 Unless they pause even harder and just release the DX SDF-1 at that time Taking bets now! 😛 2026 is the year of Fockers!

A couple years ago I met a guy who was extremely into wine, and over the course of one of our conversations I asked him at what price point one starts to hit diminishing returns on quality. He told me the story of a $500 bottle he bought to celebrate finishing his dissertation, and how disappointed he was when he finally opened it up. A fine bottle that simply could not live up to expectations Here is my new (to me) PF VF-0S The VF-0S is probably my favorite from the franchise (I like how you can see the skull and crossbones in all three modes), but for the amount of money I paid for this thing it simply could never have met my expectations. Even having read or watched all the reviews on it I could find. Also, I just realized that the seller didn't include the little sheet that had its serial number on it, which is making me weirdly sad. And yet... I still want to hunt down the regular release as a complement

Another Roy? I get it, it's Roy, and some people missed out, but once again, every time I see this get bumped I get excited thinking Bandai is going to finish the squad and announce my damn Kaki TV 1A, then nope, disappointment all over again.

man, too late, i already sold of all my copies. but i had a few for sale on here. this has gotten a decent discount in the past that was targeted/regional on amazon on occasion. if no one on here sells you one, may want to keep tabs on it.
-
I said you were overthinking it, not that the thoughts are wrong. A major difference. You both put more thought into it then the writers.

Thanks for the fair summary. That matches what I was expecting. The flaws for YF-21s don't really make it seem worthwhile compared to other 1/60 toys. Therefore, I adjust my conclusion: does anyone wanna sell me theirs at or below $200 shipped? 😄😄😄

Sorry about that. I've been whacked twice now for uploading images a size too big to be allowed on the forum so I've been very reluctant to post pictures 😆

I’ve always had cats. Never actually went to a place to adopt, it’s always been some form of the cat distribution system.

Hey thanks. Love the weapon diorama and the Dom looks great! The cat meme. Lol We currently have a silly dingo running the show in our home. He’s a good boi. We used to have three cats but due to old age they are no longer with us. They had a great life. We talk about adopting and will probably make the leap in the summer. Well I have another kit on bench. I finally completed all sub assembles on my current build “Terror Mirage” and it’s ready for primer. I sort of like to stay busy and having builds cycling smoothly in tandem feels right. I scored this kit from @tekering Thanks again! I’ll do my very best to make it look awesome! It’s an early Volks KOG. Basically garage kit injection model I think the translation says. So I assume it’s the same design they used for the resin kit? Have to look into it. All the parts have been super tight and wonky. There are callouts in the manual that say you will need to putty this area and that area etc…since this will have a gap here and there. Cracks me up that instead of a good mold they are saying it’s all on you now. Lol Also comes with a bunch of generic polycap sprues that you need to trim down to certain shapes and sizes to fit. That’s a first for me. I kind of dig it Anyway I’m loving it and this build has very few parts and assembly goes quick. Clean up later.
