  1. Past hour
  2. I like the step in transformation where it's GERWALK with the torso of battroid... Looks a little like a riding the horse Halloween costume.
  3. Partially because they don't have to be budgeted the way the mainline does. It's not a Voyager, it's not a leader, it just is. And it doesn't have to sacrifice paint apps because a wave mate needed a higher-than-usual parts count. Partially, I suspect, because it's advertising. Hasbro's gonna charge you whatever they will after Netflix subsidizes it.
  4. Today
  5. Panel lining. Gonna make it my custom pf. Very tedious, but I can foresee the result is going to be worth it. It looks so much better now
  6. Either that or a newly wed collector who’s spouse is forcing them to sell their childhood.
  7. I thought bout taking a pencil to mine, but it still won't be a PF. I need another angry divorcee to sell one at a loss to me. How's everyone's marriage going? Hmm?
  8. As if life weren't a crapstorm already...
  9. It’s gotten to the point where they already have a tap pay scams becoming common as well. It’s getting to the point where cash is becoming a safer option, as long as you don’t just get old school mugged. Gas stations and bank ATMs have even had people place thin fake devices over the actual ones to swipe or tap cards that look legit. The scams are advancing and evolving just as fast and elaborately as ways to get around them.
  10. Buyee no longer takes PayPal Credit does it? With shipping and tariffs, this is probably gonna be a $500-600 purchase.
  11. Pilot and arm packs aside, it does look pretty cool
  12. I agree- it looks good. FWIW, I mostly collect G1 stuff with which they've been doing a good to great job overall. I've never been so fulfilled collecting the main line. Sorry to hear that you're not getting that same feeling. I'm still all-in for the final season of Stranger Things. My wife and I have enjoyed every season thus far, and I'm actually sad to see it end, but y'know, all good things... Moreover, the kids are all grown up now and barely pass for teenagers anymore, and I'm sure they all want to move on to other things. I guess it's time. To that end, I was surprised to see one ST collab, so a second is, to my knowledge, unprecedented with any of their other crossover IPs except Star Wars. I'm not complaining; I'm just pointing out that a second collab, like the show itself, is an oddity. However, this one is far more a love letter to the 80s, so very apropos. Speaking of the 80s, I wouldn't for a second doubt that we'll see this mold again now that you mentioned A-Team. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the secondary use of the mold, as they probably already have BA's van planned and this seemed a good opportunity to get a little more mileage from it. I so want an Airwolf collab. And, unlike jets, Takara has a great track record with making good to great helicopter alts. I'd wish for a Top Gun: Maverick Darkstar, but I don't wish to spoil my day contemplating the myriad ways in which Takara would F it up to hell and back.
  13. I think that would make obtaining Factory Satellites a double priority for NUNS then; not only to replenish their own forces, but to deny the Zentraedi fleets out there more and more of the resources needed to keep the forever war going. I know it's a big galaxy with possibly thousands of these satellites; but it's better than the billions of ships!
  14. Yep- awesome. Now I just have to find one or two of these kits...
  15. Max Watanabe mod of the VF-1S Strike into a SDFM Super. only nitpick is the pilot.
  16. I like it. The head/helmet is so good. Why do so many collab TFs look better than the mainline ones? I'm a little over Stranger Things and I kinda wish this was just a plain van. A friend said this could use an A-Team repaint.
  17. anyone get this? I can't till tariffs lift. So I will window shop for now.

    1/55's revisited

    Lucky! Very cool!
  19. Posed together with the OG Bandai VF-17S!
  20. Looks like panel-lined versus not?
  21. Seeing the secondary market pre-sales pop up These are all floating around 50000+ yen...I didn't expect my suspected 10000 markup fee to be the MINIMUM lol Here are the USD converted values.
  22. Context: Old vs new? Or, all new?
  23. Yeah, overall I would still call all of the mentioned issues just standard quibbles with Bandai being Bandai, and they don't detract much from the valk itself. I do really like this one, since they did improve on a couple aspects of the YF-19 (the feet are so much better shaped it's tempting me to attempt to swap them out). The tampo is much less obnoxious, the general alignment is a bit easier to manage, and there's no stupid high speed hinge on the wing to leave it flopping around. All things considered, I actually even prefer this one very slightly over the Yamato in fighter mode. My biggest gripe about the Yamato Fire Valk has always been how far forward the LEX reaches, making the nose look too stubby (yes, this even bugs me more than the feet ). Bandai chose to make the LEX slightly curved from the wingroot toward the nose, which gives the nose section a slimmer and longer look. The downside is that this prevents it from converting that LEX tip into a side cover under the chest. I think Bandai also managed a better intake profile than Yamato (with covers even), though the improvement is less substantial than on the YF-19. I admit I was a little sad they removed the secondary twist joint in the gerwalk joint, and the range of that joint is disappointing, but it's no worse than the Yamato. Overall? Setting aside the YF and focusing on the VF, I think Bandai pulled off a slightly better fighter, but Yamato still managed a better battroid, and the Yamato versions will always be more fun to transform. That being said, I am in for the long (and expensive) haul toward the rest of the VF-19 line, and I'm hoping against hope that Bandai actually goes beyond the canon schemes to give us some variety, even if it's just something from Macross 30. I really hope we get the F/S/P, but my personal holy grail would be the white VF-19F with black stripes from the Master File. Do it Bandai, I will buy four. I'll still buy several P-models too, and probably do the same repaint I'm planning for an HMR version, but boy it would be nice to get some alternate schemes. Come on Bandai, make it happen!
  24. $140 USD, April - June 2026
  25. The preorder had ended by the time I found out about it, so I was hoping a HLJ, Nin-Nin, or elsewhere slot would magically appear after release - with mixed feelings since a cancelled preorder can't be good for a company. Unfortunately, no dice with those two, so after browsing around, it seems AmiAmi had a few left. Had is past tense, because checking right now shows those are now gone. I'll update this with what shipping option I choose since I'm uncertain about the two options given: A. Shipping method: ECMS Please note that the shipping method ECMS is currently under testing and adjustments may be made in the future. Unit price 42,900 JPY x 1 unit(s) = 42,900 JPY Subtotal: 42,900 JPY Shipping:14,407 JPY Grand total:57,307 JPY B. Shipping method: Surface Mail Premium TBD Based on the AmiAmi FAQ at <support.amiami.com/hc/en-us/articles/13770040744345-Shipping-Service-Comparison>: ECMS: 2-4 weeks for the United States Surface Mail Premium: 2-3 months Oof on surface mail, which, unsurprisingly, must be by ship. I'm actually hoping it won't be too much cheaper so I have an excuse, though expensive, to not use it. I hadn't heard of ECMS before, so after searching around, other places mention: Via <myfigurecollection.net/blogpost/49506> Via <forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/9pxj4r81> As an aside, on the bridge antenna issue, there's a pre-owned SDF-1 on AmiAmi <amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-032214-R> but the listing states:
  26. Well, that's new and unexpected. Nice to see they didn't just recolor the Surfer Boy Pizza van; this looks like a completely new mold, and not a bad looking one at all. A few minutes later.... I ventured over to TFW2005 to see if I could glean more info, and of course they had a first-look article with pics and additional info. His name is Freakwency and the bird is In-Trax. SMH at those names. Anyway, he also comes with a rubber chicken that turns into his gun. Apparently, it'll be a thing in the final season. Anyway, In-Trax converts into, appropriately, an 8-track cassette which can plug into his abdomen, not unlike Soundwave and his chest gimmick. NGL, I'm totes diggin' it. 8-tracks were still relevant when I was a young lad (my uncle had a small collection in his big-ass car complete with curb feelers), so this resonates in positive way. Good vibes, man. Too, Soundwave and his cassette minions are still some of my all-time favorite Transformers, so this follows suit nicely, albeit with a more practical alt mode. I like how his abdomen's door looks like an old-school AM/FM radio complete with cassette slot. So much cheesy goodness! Def must-buy.😍
