Sadly BBTs said I have to reorder scavenger and refunded me the money. Think at this point I’ll just keep an eye out for him. Fireflight shipped and with that I’ll be finished with the aerial bots. Kind of not a bad turnaround, not even a year since slingshot and airaid came out right?- 17656 replies

Wave 1/100 - MACROSS ZERO VF-0S/A Phoenix Valkyrie Battroid
KOG Water Dragon replied to Raikkonen's topic in Model kits
I never really cared about the Wave 1/100 kits before, as I prefer 1/72 and up... but now that Bandai is doing all these 1/100 HG kits... I feel like there's a reason to grab the Wave 1/100s after all. I'm not entirely confident that Bandai would add VF-1 and VF-0 to its 1/100 HG series any time soon. I wonder if either company will do a 1/100 VF-11... - Today

I love the tail on it!

Thanks. I wasn't sure what Art Storm's role in this was. As for the Tri-Charger, I'm happy to have it in my collection. There isn't much Zillion stuff out there, and I do own the original one, too. Other than that, though, it isn't really amazing as a toy or as a collectible, they didn't do much of anything to update it for 30+ years later, and it just doesn't feel like it's worth the price. Maybe half the price, considering the small audience for it. So, I was hoping it would settle me on getting the new Pose+ Legioss, but it really hasn't encouraged me that that will be worth the price.

Ha.. I forgot all about the Pose+ Tricharger. I remember reporting in 2023 the original release being delayed by a whole year, then a year later 2024 on actual release it kinda flew under the radar, and here we are nearly one year later. I was somewhat on the fence on this & was waiting for early reviews on it.. Art Storm branding being on both the Tricharger & the Garland is just them being the distributor, but the manufacturer for both are different parties and don't think they are directly related. One being Pose+ and the other Fewture for the Garland.

That's a plane that, from the nose to the beginning of the tail, looks like it needs to be stretched by about 10 or 15 percent to make those curves work.

Renegadeleader1, I’m familiar at least in passing with the aircraft you mentioned (the thing that always gets me about the Airacuda more than anything is where did they get that name from?!) though I hadn’t heard of the AT-9 before. -
I am so used to Yamato's VF-17 Fighter proportions, especially the more bulbous front end, that the line art can look weird to me lol.

If possible, I either use the selective color feature in Photoshop to remove it, or simply select the background and remove it. If you have any issues doing that, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

It's not a bug, it's a feature 😁 -
imagine if they sell the parts separately? like the sword striker pack? I'd get the feet and legs first and maybe the chest next...

You did indeed call it... three weeks ago on August 27th, to be precise. 👍 That, IMO, is the sucker bet. Practically guaranteed to happen to prevent an outbreak.

I never had any of the OG Deluxe Insecticons (I only had Kickback and Shrapnel), but I do have a downscaled Convertors version of Barrage and I always thought it was a cool figure. I wish Takara/Hasbro had gone all-in on making new molds for Ransack, Barrage and Chop Shop to match their OG toys as well. Regarding Venom, I know there's some complaint about the wing attachments, but it follows the OG toy quite faithfully and IMHO that's a strength, mostly. It would have been nice had those attachments swiveled to his back to get them out of the way, but overall, I'm extremely happy with how he turned out. Still waiting for my copy. Since they've demonstrated the willingness and ability to back-engineer Venom, I hope they'll do the same eventually not only with Ransack, Barrage and Chop Shop, but also Whirl and Roadbuster. I really want a proper Mugen Calibur as my Roadbuster. Missed the preorder today so I didn't get SS86 Soundwave. Got a little sticker shock from that $60 price tag. Just not seeing $60 worth of stuff there, and being a fan of the cassette-bots, the new molds with him aren't exactly inspiring. I'll likely get him eventually, but man these prices are becoming a bit off-putting, especially when 3P legends makers are, IMHO, crafting superior versions of these characters for around the same price and they're much more space-friendly, an appealing factor when I'm just about out of space for Hasbro's mainline/SS stuff.- 17656 replies

Since Tesla's abominable safety record came up recently, this feels a bit relevant: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2025/09/tesla-model-y-door-handles-now-under-federal-safety-scrutiny/ The Office of Defects Investigation in the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is the latest national regulatory body to take up the question of whether the flush/retractable door handles used on Tesla vehicles (and on select models of other brands) meet vehicle safety standards in the event of a crash or a 12V bus failure. Similar regulatory probes are already underway in Europe and China, with the latter already floating discussion of a ban.

If the Boulton Paul Defiant breaks your brain you should look up the Bell YMF-1 Airacuda, a twin engined pusher "bomber destroyer" that had gunner positions in the engine nacels in front of the motors. The USAAC had a squadron's worth of these things operating with the USAAC/USAAF at the start of the war before those in charge realized how much of a deathtrap it was and quietly removed them from service and scrapped them all two months in. If you need more obscure WWII aircraft there's also the B-32 Dominator which was the backup from Consolidated should the B-29 fail, and the Brewster SB2A Buccaneer a dive bomber so terrible the Navy and USAAF chose to send most of them directly to the junkyard for scrapping rather than use them as trainers or target tugs after they failed miserably at those jobs. Probably one of my favorite obscure aircraft is the Curtiss-Wright AT-9 "jeep" trainer. It looks like a cartoon come to life looking a half used toothpaste tube mixed with a Japanese style super deformed Beechcraft Model 18. It was deliberately designed to fly like crap so as to simulate adverse flying conditions brought on by battle damage. -
Yeah, Alien: Earth's showrunners and writers did not understand the assignment. Xenomorph XX121 has never been less scary. The mature one spends the first three episodes mugging for the camera before being killed with the cutting arm from an office paper cutter by a girl/synth with no combat experience or training, and the second one is... The other four groups of critters really don't seem to be engaged in the story to any significant degree. The main source of menace seems to be the obligatory Horror Movie Stupidity that most of the cast contracts at one point or another, and that's not exactly scary because you can see it coming a light year away.
