  2. The "Erdspinne" definitely should've been alot darker that I kinda question Takara's Toyrise-mindset a bit since all their previous Votoms lines all have hadanime-correct colors. Which then brings me to this, uhh, abomination: What and why the ever-mudder-f*ck is that coloring??? Tatiana's Erdspinne was quite a nice light purple in the Alone Again ova. /facepalm
  3. Starting the first of this season's new series... Always a Catch! It seems we're once again generously oversupplied with otome anime. The now-standard opening of "The prince broke off his engagement to the protagonist and now she has to find a new fiance" thing is getting kind of weird. You have to wonder if any of the authors who use this almost form letter opening ever stop to consider that having the prince of a kingdom arbitrarily dump a girl who is usually the daughter and heir of a Duke powerful enough to arrange for his daughter to marry into the royal family ought to have WAY more consequences than just "the girl is upset". Like, this ought to be a massive political faux pas that risks turning a very powerful ally of the king into an enemy if he has any kind of pride at all. Always a Catch! has all the usual staples, though the twist this time around is the protagonist is actually the cousin and best friend of the duke's daughter who gets dumped by the prince. She's an unladylike muscleheaded tomboy who's staying with her cousin to hunt for a fiance of her own because her parents finally had a boy after years of trying and she therefore isn't the family heir anymore. (That her family's coat of arms, and her hairpin, appear to be brass knuckles kind of says all that needs to be said about her.)
  4. The base is a mix of MR Color 66 bright green and 56 IJN green. 4-1. Then put in some highlights using same color mix with a little white added. Then I sprayed straight IJN green through poly fill to get some random texture areas. In hindsight I think the texture is a bit too heavy handed but I’ll work with it.
  5. Ya, Macross Dx's just aren't cheap. Unless they bomb. I think this one may sell well.
  6. up at luna park but for 35 980 yen. I want one but not for that price. https://premiumlunapark.com/products/dx-chogokin-vf-25-messiah-valkyrie-top-gun-maverick-ver-japan-version?se_activity_id=152541987001&syclid=d77ep3ehb8os73caplj0&utm_campaign=Did+something+catch+your+eye%3F_152541987001&utm_medium=email&utm_source=shopify_email

  8. Thanks guys! I'm trying to keep it tidy as best I can, but it's an exercise in discipline! πŸ˜‡ My favorite thing about the set-up is the Adam Savage inspired lights... GAME CHANGER, highly recommended if you're looking for more lighting! @derex3592 I paid someone who knew what they were doing to put my vent in. I'm glad I spent the money (and I'm glad I didn't have to drill a hole in my exterior wall myself) but it weren't cheapπŸ€‘ One of the youtubers I watch recommended Lysol all-purpose cleaner for acrylics, and it's worked wonders and smells great once I'm done airbrushing! I'm also glad I did it so I don't have to subject my cat to VOCs when I use solvent-based paint and make her even more 'special' than she already is.😸 @Papa Rat That Plamax is looking real good! What did you use for the green? It looks like a great match for the scheme.
  9. Great topic ... along these lines of bi-axial bliss I became partial to the Transformers Unite Warriors Afterburner (from the red Computron set), Diaclone Tryverse Trirambler (in red), and MM03 Otomo from Unrustables (in red) all as homage to the Garland and Kaneda's bike – mods sorry off topic but we'd have to wait a 'zillion' years for more news on a tri-charger.
  10. These really need more paint apps but I'm in.

  12. Season 1. Apologies if you don't have an ultrawide display, there's a lot of them. Season 2. Just waiting on Powerglide. And with his fellow Season 3 minibots. Happy that Swerve should arrive soon, but we still need Tailgate, too. It's a safe bet we'll see him before too long, though.
  13. Pre order is up.. I definitely have no room for this behemoth. And the shipping would kill my wallet. Already have the Z-Gundam Argama catapult deck i need to ship over
  14. Don't think it is. I only used "Gregore's squad" since he's the leader. Like Reeman was the leader of the Reeman squad.
  15. Oh Yeah! It’s a great kit. Hope to get the small stuff finished brush painted and cured by the weekend. I finished up the airbrush portion of the build. Got to do touch ups and panels etc…
  16. Nice to see someone else building the Plamax VF-1. have fun!
  17. I've had a soft spot for those for as long as I can remember. I can still CLEARLY remember the moment I watched the first episode of Genesis Climber MOSPEADA (ok, it was Robotech:' New Gen). Restricting my collecting to variable/transforming bikes fit a niche that brings me joy, and saved me space (and money). Now, years later, I'm finding myself restricting limited space even more, basically to "ride armor" type of designs. That said, yes, TFP Arcee and TFA Prowl are fantastic and just *chef's kiss*. I still look forward to new things coming out, and Shinji Aramaki-related designs, MOSPEADA and BGC related items, and Aramaki-adjacent things (which is where I pigeon hole Zillion) still get my shelf space/wallet tears.
  18. @slide - NICE bench area!!!! My dream is to be able to airbrush and have a vent to outside, but in my house that ain't EVER gonna happen, especially in TX with the heat and humidity the way it is most of the year, also the wife is like NOPE. I get away with spraying teeny tiny parts with Vallejo acrylics because they don't smell and clean up with Windex, everything else I have to paint out in the garage.
  19. Now I no longer want to be an astronaut. Pooping in the woods was enough for me in the US Army, lol. Artemis II toilet returns to 'normal operations' after brief issue https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2026/04/02/artemis-ii-toilet-problem/89432179007/ Apollo-era Fecal Containment Device https://www.spacecentre.co.uk/collections/categories/apollo/apollo-era-fecal-containment-device/
  20. πŸ˜„ Amazing how much stuff can be fixed by recycling power. It worked on airplanes, too, a common "fix" for avionics and other electronic systems. I worked hydraulics, so a leak or some other related malfunction generally meant we were getting dirty. I imagine it's not so different for the space plumbers who actually have to tear into the toilet. I imagine they make a good salary but, ugh, not a job I'd wanna do. 🀒 Although it's far more spacious than the Apollo era capsules, it's still pretty tight confines for four people over ten days, and perhaps a little awkward for the solo female aboard. I suspect one of the normalcies of space flight is the shedding of modesty and shame, at least to a fair degree, when it comes to bathroom use and overall hygiene. I feel for the astronauts who have to live in that environment for the duration of their trip, and for the poor folks on clean-up duty when they land, as I believe these new capsules are reusable. If not, it's going to a museum, so either way, it'll be in need of a serious wipe down. To paraphrase Alien, "In space, everyone can smell your crap". I believe it was John Young who made the "floating turd" comment. I can only imagine the grimaces on the faces of NASA's PR people when that gem came across for all to hear. That was space reality, though, and it's awkward, funny, and poignant to have it memorialized in a transmission. Probably wasn't so funny when it was happening, though. Yuck!
  21. Yeah, I'm in the same boat - sigh... the thing that got me on ebay was the processing paperwork. It was a relatively smallish purchase, and I calculated the tariffs correctly, but then there was an additional $25 "processing fee" because they had to _do_ the tariff paperwork. But yeah, lots of stuff I'm not buying now because of tariffs. We'll have a home grown toy industry in no time at all.

    DX Chogokin VF-17S

Surprising, eBay usually includes the prices in shipping. Tariffs depend on the country of origin. If it's from Japan to the US it should be 15% but everyone is also adding handling charges now and the shipping companies are adding their own processing fees. So there are a bunch of variables that make it harder to know. The base shipping is also more expensive and only includes the fastest delivery methods generally. I was just complaining that anime export tried to charge me 19000 yen to ship a small toy. There are a lot of things I'm not buying right now because they would cost more to ship than buy... It's a bummer.
  23. @slide so clean and organized. My bench is a pigpen πŸ˜‚
  24. Nice looking work station, @slide!
