  1. Today
  2. The size of the new version doesn't bother me too much; I have zero available display space as it is. I'm just a little put off by the sculpt of the new version's alt mode - specifically the trunk. Maybe I'll warm up to it if I see it on the shelf somewhere.
  3. Nice! No longer have to watch still pics to audio like a powerpoint presentation.
  4. Inspirational!
  5. We know NuTrek doesn't have the support of a team of science and technology fact-checkers the way golden age Star Trek did... but you'd think they'd at least have checked its Wiki page, consulted a chemistry textbook, or at least loaded up a NileRed video on YouTube. It's a lot easier to research these things now than it was 60 year ago when Star Trek was first being written. Seems like that the creative team knew juuuuuust enough to know that strontium is often mentioned around things like nuclear fuel waste and nuclear bombs and assumed that all strontium was the dangerous radioisotope strontium-90 that is occasionally used in RTEGs due to its short half-life. Naturally occurring strontium that you might dig up out of the ground is non-radioactive strontium-88. Pure strontium is reactive enough that it can be made pyrophoric when finely ground, but the danger level is more "mistaken for fireworks" than "mistaken for an attack". Assuming Nus Braka is telling the truth about his parents, for all practical intents and purposes his family likely accidentally blew themselves up when their homemade signal flare accidentally ignited the fireworks factory they lived and worked in. Either that or he told an embarrassingly easy-to-debunk fib.
  6. Done! Here’s a quick pic. Better photos in the completed section once I have my Photo Booth set up again.
  7. My mistake. Pls delete
  8. Looks amazing so far, you did a fantastic job on the seams, can't see them at all.
  9. You don't realize just how much you did to get modern Windows "functional", until you have a fresh install. You can NEVER remember or write them all down. Got pretty close today, but it took ALL day. (I took the day off from work! Didn't plan to have a new PC at the time, but it worked out well). I should be ready to finally actually "use" my new PC this weekend and see what it can do...
  10. I often do a similar thing, but with chrome instead of silver
  11. Almost there. A few more layers…red, topcoat, decals, panel line and we are good. I decided to pant the clear lens parts with clear red on front and silver on back. Sort of candy-ish but a clear middle refracting light.
  12. I hope you are right. The 1/200 scale is sort of a perfect size for it, but I’d gladly take a 1/100 if it happens.
  13. Yesterday
  14. I do not collect Transformers much anymore. I always liked the character of Big convoy. He is so small compared to the original.
  15. In before it's retconned to distrontium next season! Seriously, it genuinely makes me laugh to see them reinventing one of the earliest mistakes in Trek writing.
  16. Great show, great character. She did a wonderful job. What else has she... oh. She's in the Lunar 2 remake as Old Luna. That hurts me more than it should.
  17. Saw Big Convoy at my local Wally awhile back but I left it. I like BW and all, and while a Prime that turns into a mammoth should appeal, having had seen a review, it just wasn't grabbing me. Hope it brings more joy and fulfillment to you than it would've to me.
  18. Finally got to open this Beast. I had out my original one too. I still prefer the original.
  19. It's all been downhill since Windows 2000. I am so glad "enshittify" wasn't a word when people were complaining about XP.
  20. Update #40 March Update: Good News, Everyone! 21. That’s basically what I was thinking ever since this thread started. Who thought this would really make for a good trailer for a movie that’s about alien communications? I guarantee that no one in reality would’ve seen that live broadcast and taken it seriously
  22. Was that the old one with the angular bike? If so, it was pretty cool and I’ve been finding a lot of older shows that I used to enjoy lately on Amazon like Airwolf and Sledgehammer and really enjoying them. Haven’t tried searching for Street Hawk though
  23. It’s a good show, but also an extreme downer. I could only watch one episode here and there because it would bring me down heavily and would have to listen to some music to get me in a better mood.
  24. My lady likes those K dramas. I figure it’s better than those horrible unreal housewives shows. personally, I never started this show mainly since we don’t have P+ yet, although that could change with the whole hbo thing. Either way, I wasn’t gonna start hate watching another show. Already went through Star Wars stuff, marvel stuff and Rings of Power and I just need something good to watch in these big franchises. Seems like for every big franchise hit, there’s five misses to go with it that interconnect and make you feel like you missed something when you skip one.
  25. The monster is one of my all time favorite mecha designs. I also hope we get a nice modern kit. Maybe if those wave 1/100 destroids sell well they may do one since they had teased it many years ago
