  7. Not sure if this is what you mean, but let me know if this gives you what you're looking for. I hear you on the learning curve, it took me a good while to get over the initial hurdle of figuring out where things were and how they worked. Blender is an amazing piece of software, especially because it's free, but it is NOT intuitive at all, and the insistance on keeping most functions in shortcut keys rather than context menus doesn't help. That said, once you get the basics, it really does blossom out pretty quickly. And believe me, for all my fiddling around, I only know the basics! 😉 Two things really helped me get some momentum with it: first was that I stopped chasing the latest version and just stuck with one of the stable ones (in my case, I use 2.83, which is ridiculously out of date now, but it's stable and was around forever so there are tons of version specific guides and tutorials out there), and second was that I finally got smart and picked a very simple project to do my learning on so that when I finally figured out what I was doing and realized that everything I'd done was crap, starting over again was actually fun and quick and not a giant frustration. On the subject of tutorials, you're absolutely right: there are a million hour long videos out there by well meaning people who have no idea how to convey simple instructions. By far, the best one I've found is Royal Skies on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheRoyalSkies/videos He specializes in 3-5 minute videos that focus on one task so that you don't have to watch someone build an elephant just to learn how to bevel an edge. Most of his stuff is on animation, but he has modeling videos, too. If you get serious about trying again, let me know and I can put together a set of links to good beginner tutorials that helped me. The Designer Note book is actually pretty amazing and a great insight into the man's process. Here's a page of 31 head designs, and I'm still digesting the pages of concepts he came up with for the 25. A lot of fascinating ideas in there that are a million miles from where he ended up, even though you can clearly see the seeds from an early stage. Fun stuff!
  8. Yeah, I much prefer the sculpt on Cadet Ezra: My favorite of the Rebels figures are this two-pack, however. They're not very posable, but they totally nail the aesthetic.

  10. May'n getting ready for AFASG 2025! She's watching Netflix's Stranger Things! https://www.facebook.com/reel/817318980904624 May'n singing - The Sea has Dreams at Aomori Festival. Quite sure she will sing this at AFASG2025
  11. Thanks a lot seto for the corrections. With regards to the vf-31B I had conflciting accounts on both translations so I decided to go with the most conservative option and have It being an A like on the series. However It nakes a lot of sense it's a B and adds even another reference to my beloved máster files so that's great. Also with the VIP calibur I did not take my time to revise the master file and got the designation wrong, my fault. I will implement the changes right away, thanks again. Also I agree It makes little sense NUNS allows xaos to have all that gear but not the VIP. Perhaps un the future we could have got a better explanation of how épsilon works and how they blocked the sale, but we Will never know. Last two chapters coming out next week.
  12. Awesome pics. I would prefer if they were 6" figures, but the faces on those look pretty decent... except for Ezra in that 1st pic... looks constipated or something lol.
  13. Mine just shipped.
  14. I know but I like the look of the Storm ones better (and I hope they feel better in hand as Marvel Legends). My Street Fighter toys are anyhow a hodgepodge of styles since Bandai never had a uniform look to their release. That said SSF2 was the last Street Fighter game I played (as a child) till SF4 and I want a good representation of all the characters in my collection.
  15. The initial Rebels figures were very toon-accurate, I thought... Mind you, I prefer that TVC Zeb. Oh, I'm happy to oblige you there. 😋 Best HasLab of them all! 😍
  16. At some point in my life, I did have blender installed, as well as many other creative software. I just couldn't find the motivation to figure out the UI and controls to use the most basic tools I wanted for simple tasks. The walls of tutorials that sent me off on sidequests to explore elaborate functions I didn't need were a big dissuasion for me. Not knowing what I need to know, to jump to learning exactly what I want to use is just too frustrating to me. Eventually, I might finally get to it. Seeing your work here is tempting lol Anyway, the AX booster position + 25 body pieces look great, even without custom bits. The wings at that angle give very strong VF-0D vibes. Cannibalizing some dorsal space for wholly different shaped add on shield is also a great idea. You just need to cook up a way for it to slide or tilt to clear the dorsal cutout during transformation. Don't forget you can also stretch into the unlimited empty tail space like the AX's thermometer lol. Even a full sized tower shield, larger than the VF-11's armor part, is fair game if you can figure out the transformation clearance Also, gonna yoink those face sketches and study them lol. Not surprising, but still interesting to see that the the sides and back are an afterthought in his brainstorming process. Small request. Could you also slap the 25's booster on, without removing what you've got on it. Just for me to visualize some of the brain hurting ideas I had before. 😁
  17. The advantage of predominantly-painted surfaces is vibrant, consistent colors, which has often been an issue with unpainted plastic molded in specific colors (that never quite match the painted parts). Transformers collectors know what I'm talking about. 😒 No corners cut or expense spared on the paint app's here, though! Even the smallest tampographed markings are crystal-clear. More importantly, the specific shade ThreeZero used is pure red, neither as fuchsia as the HM-R nor as maroon as the Yamarcadia 1:60. It's very anime-accurate to my eye. Well, as most of you know, ThreeZero's VF-1 is basically a downscaled DX Chogokin, with all the pros and cons of that design. The side-fillers are welcome, but are fiddly and require parts-swapping; the wings are never perfectly aligned in battroid mode, and the missile mounts are really tight; the legs are heavy with die-cast, so the entire leg assembly is likely to pop off during transformation. If there were factory QC issues with previous releases, there's no evidence of them here. I don't have problems with the canopy or the intakes or the landing gear or the sliders or the joints or the paint or anything else others have complained about. Some of the joints are scary tight, but I expect that with a brand-new toy; in fact, I prefer it. The double-jointed elbows are particularly appreciated: My only gripe would be the unsightly gap that cuts through the roundel on the port side of the nosecone. It's much less pronounced on the starboard side. Of course, I do wish it had come with FAST packs... ...and didn't have that Robotech-specific "Miriya Sterling" label on the canopy. 😅
  18. It’s looking great so far, can’t wait to see it all together
  19. I get a feeling that it was more of a missile to the balls and just exploded it out. Lots of smoke and flames probably just made it hard to see the blood. Not to mention that the blood may have been a bit much for a model kit box. I think they got away with quite a bit there hoping no one would think about that dude’s lower body being in there. Kinda makes you wonder what Zentraedi did about extreme injuries. I know a few are shown with one eye and usually it has some kinda cybernetic looking replacement. Did they have a medical facility and doctors, or was there some kind of automated medical station? Or was it, you lost an arm, we’ll just recycle you?
  20. Great snag! That's even lower than current HMR VF-19P prices right there.
  21. That is one of the units I've been eyeing last lol
  22. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
  23. If you're targeting SSF2 Storm isn't going to cut it, those are Alpha designs. Charley and Dan aren't even from SSF2 either.
  24. Looks good. What's your feedback?
