    As of this posting, it seems this DX Fire Valk is being heavily discounted to even lower than 22k-yen by 3rd-party sellers at amzn.jp, but only if you are a jp resident: As such and as of this posting time, amz-jp is selling it for 26.644y plus shipping-fees: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0F62BC2MB here's the breakdown if I wanted to import it... Around US$257 at current exchange-rate shipped. I'm still not pulling the trigger on this DX Kai even at that shipped pricing, tho...

    Yeah, I’ve said in the 1/18th thread that these are way overpriced for what you get. The wheel on the front of the bikes don’t even roll. They’re simple no detail add ons to a small low detail figure. I still think the figure should be ten and maybe as a bike and figure set something like twenty to twenty five. I think they look cool, but not at the asking price

    I thought you had to pay shipping from the seller to Buyee’s warehouse and then another shipping charge from Buyee to you, along with Buyee’s service fees. Shipping to the U.S. wouldn’t be so bad if DHL wasn’t the only option available on most of the site I shop from. Their processing fee on top of the tariff is overkill. I’ve seen the processing fee be double the actual tariff amount.

    And yet this is what they came up with. At that price. They're like a third of the way through the funding period, and they've got barely over 1000 of the 10,000 backers they need. I think it's way overpriced... if these were retail figures, it'd be, what, $20 a pop for 3.75" figures, and say $40 per lightcycle (a bit high, but prices I might be willing to pay, for Flynn, Tron, Sark, and the lightcycles, but to heck with Yori and generic badguy program). That's only about $180. I definitely don't need a light-up base for $80 more. Again, I'd have rather they had an actual Tron toyline with stuff from all three films... they I might get Sam, Quora, Ares, Athena, and Eve, a Legacy and Ares Lightcycle, one of those jet things Athena was flying around in, and some Recognizers.

    Watched it opening night in 3D. Yes I miss the OG actors and Legacy actors. Not a fan of what they did to them, but it was a watchable movie. I had the soundtrack a week before the movie came out.

    Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota is cute, but doesn't really seem to be going anywhere story-wise... which is a bit disappointing. The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess feels like it's determined to take at least one shot at every overused otome character trope and plot device. It's a bit predictable in that regard, though it definitely lands (mostly) in affectionate parody territory.

    The 30% charge is not an upcharge, that is supposed to be based on country of manufacture, which is China, and that is 30%. It's just that other places are cool and marking it Japan instead. But the base price they're charging for DHL/FedEx, etc.. they absolutely are marking up now. I had an Andrew Garfield Spider-Man Mafex figure that was the first thing to ship once HLJ would ship to the use again and the base DHL price was the same as it always was for years (2300 yen), just with the 15% (for some reason on that item) and the small processing fee. The next week it was suddenly 4800 yen for the base price and when I asked about the change I was chewed out and they refused to respond afterward.

    I'm curious if they (Arcadia) are going to update the box art on the toys, it would be cool to see something newer to break it out from the prior releases.

    You can never kick yourself over that...your deal is very good, compared to the future US release prices!! Consider it a win!! Using the Buyee proxy there is a 500 yen service fee, then international shipping of course (but usually you bundle it with other things in your private 30 day warehouse)

    That’s actually what I noticed before the jeep. First was the big Queadluun Rau, then I spotted Max giving chase, then the crew in the door. I kinda thought it was just some debris until I looked closer and realized it was a jeep. A lot going on in that little hallway
