Just bent over for the $80+ shipping fees, but I went DHL. FedEx is a pain if you aren't home to receive your package. Should have mine in a day or two. Might go Small Air Packet next time for shipping, especially for the Nousjadeul Ger.

I hope the implentation of the PIlot seat movement is at least as good as the Aoshima ACKS version that uses the backpack armor plate to lock the seat in up or down position, and let's you slide in the hatch door for the fully enclosed pilot.

So, there's nothing left in this line after the VF-0S + Ghost release or am I forgetting something?

We're losing so many of our 70s and 80s film icons. They're only mortals like the rest of us but given the breadth and profundity of their impact on culture, it always seems harder to see these folks pass on. Godspeed, Mr. Duvall, and thanks for all the memorable performances.

I didn't go in for this variation, but I'll add my two cents and compliment the good changes that the DNA kit make towards making him more Godzilla-y. As you said, TT should have released it like this themselves, especially with Gojira being a Japanese icon.- 9487 replies

IMHO, both T30 Springer and the WFC/ SS86 retool all represent best efforts towards realizing triple changers with a good balance of concessions. I also think the Generations and Titans Return versions of Blitzwing, both going for very different looks, managed the balance between modes and the concessions thereof far better than the Legacy figure, especially in jet mode. That thing's carrying half the tank on his undercarriage, and it looks terrible. Blitzwing's my favorite TC, and I passed on the Legacy toy initially until I found him on sale. I like Astrotrain quite a bit, too, but I've passed on every single toy of him since owning the G1, as they've all been terribly compromised. Unfortunately, the SS86 toy carries on the tradition. I also thought Legacy Sandstorm was done pretty well. It has compromises, but most triple changers do, and I thought they struck a decent balance with him between modes. I'm content with the design. Octane, like Astrotrain, is due a really good figure, as pretty much every iteration has sucked. I got the TR version, but it leaves a great deal to be desired. Broadside is one in which I've very low interest due to the ridiculous scales of his alts. Out of the bunch, his alts make the least sense, and he just never really registered with me. Nonetheless, he's likely never had a toy that did him much justice, either. The TR fig's jet mode (shockingly!) takes the hit between alts for awful compromise, and AFAIK, he's the only other official Broadside triple changing toy besides the original G1. In hindsight, Takara's track record with triple changers isn't very good. I realize triple changers are inherently difficult to design. Nevertheless, there are some good examples of well-done triple changers between both official and, moreso, third party iterations. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm compelled to point out Mech Fans Toys' versions of Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Sandstorm, Springer, and Octane, all of which, at legends scale no less, pull off what are arguably some of the best iterations of these characters with well-balanced alt modes and very 'toon accurate' bot modes. I'd love to have versions of each upscaled and improved to fit CHUGL, as I doubt Takara will ever rise to the level of execution MFT achieved with these toys.- 18147 replies

“RAMmageddon” Has Collapsed Every Major Tech Market as Executives Brace for a ‘Product Winter’ That Could Last Until the End of the Decade In a recent report, we discussed how next-gen gaming consoles will see a delayed launch, moving beyond 2029, and the situation is similar in the mobile segment as well, with Apple scrambling for DRAM capacity and Samsung being rejected by its own memory department. In the PC industry, we are witnessing aftershocks: GPU launches being pushed back, chatter around future releases declining by the day, and the passion for entering the PCMR dying down. -

Here's to hoping if they redo Blitzwing that it will still look good in all 3 modes. So far the best triplechanger they've released in my opinion is Springer. As far as Kranix's alt mode goes, it looks accurate. I'll buy Arblus too if it gets released.- 18147 replies

🤣🤣 That actually looks really good! I'd also replace the wings with something a little bigger though. What you've done actually reminds me of this.

I still kind of want to kitbash one into a fighter by replacing the upper bridge structure with a cockpit. and canopy. I know it has a lot of features of bigger ships, but most of them don't stand out, and the panels are big enough that it kind of breaks the sense of scale if you don't see the landing gear or other vehicle storage features.

Yeah, but has he stopped eight or more unspecified wars that may or may not exist in this reality? OTOH, he does an impression of our wannabe despot "unlike anyone's ever seen before!" Bigly!- 18147 replies

I've been really looking forward to this kit. I'll review it proper when I get mine, but painting Grimlock gray and calling it a day was a huge letdown. This kit really looks to take the figure from dud to stud. I like supporting domestic small businesses when there isn't a huge price difference, and with DNA it was often even cheaper to buy from TCP than ShowZ in the pre-tariff days. But TCP has gotten to be BBTS slow lately. If it weren't for the fact that it's CNY and nobody's shipping anything for the next week anyway I'd cancel my preorder and just buy from ShowZ.- 9487 replies

After shaving away at the forearm I finally got the hose to make contact. I’ll drill out the end of the hose carefully and put a small length of 1mm brass rod on the end to secure the connection. This will happen with ca glue during the final construction after paint etc… once I get all the parts I want to pin fit with brass rods I will give all the pieces a deep clean to remove any oils by recommendation from @electric indigo then prime like normal but this time I will be using Gaia surfacer I just got recently. I hear it works great on resin. Then I’ll be using mostly MR Color Lacquers.

I haven't bought a Mezco in a good while, pissed I missed out on Red Hood but I've been contemplating starting my first custom, Luke Cage. I think One:12 Iron Fist is peak, and I really want a One:12 style Power Man to pair with him, Heroes for Hire indeed.

Absolutely brutal and fantastic new episode! Bummer we're already at the end of the season, but Hedge Knight is a short book so it is what it is. One more episode to go, great season, I think they really nailed Dunk and Egg, great cast, some laughs, the characters are great, just a solid season overall, couldn't be happier with how the series turned out. -

Oh, Evan, Mark, and the others know when they've got a turd on their hands, but it's their job to sell it. Funny how they'll judiciously point out flaws in a previous fig years down the road when a new one is coming out, and of course they gush over the new one, even if it, too, has visible flaws that don't quite meet the hype. Naturally, they're going to downplay or outright quell any harsh criticism; they want to sell these things and project the Takara-Tomy designers, who actually do the heavy lifting design and engineering-wise, in the best light possible. But these guys are fans, too, and credit where due, they do a good job of masking their disappointment, b/c as fans, you know they feel it as well when TT puts out a stinker and they have to churn up hype for it. I'm officially nominating the Hasbro Transformers Team for the Academy Award for their performances. Best I've seen all year. 👿- 18147 replies
