  2. @slide - NICE bench area!!!! My dream is to be able to airbrush and have a vent to outside, but in my house that ain't EVER gonna happen, especially in TX with the heat and humidity the way it is most of the year, also the wife is like NOPE. I get away with spraying teeny tiny parts with Vallejo acrylics because they don't smell and clean up with Windex, everything else I have to paint out in the garage.
  3. Now I no longer want to be an astronaut. Pooping in the woods was enough for me in the US Army, lol. Artemis II toilet returns to 'normal operations' after brief issue https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2026/04/02/artemis-ii-toilet-problem/89432179007/ Apollo-era Fecal Containment Device https://www.spacecentre.co.uk/collections/categories/apollo/apollo-era-fecal-containment-device/
  4. 😄 Amazing how much stuff can be fixed by recycling power. It worked on airplanes, too, a common "fix" for avionics and other electronic systems. I worked hydraulics, so a leak or some other related malfunction generally meant we were getting dirty. I imagine it's not so different for the space plumbers who actually have to tear into the toilet. I imagine they make a good salary but, ugh, not a job I'd wanna do. 🤢 Although it's far more spacious than the Apollo era capsules, it's still pretty tight confines for four people over ten days, and perhaps a little awkward for the solo female aboard. I suspect one of the normalcies of space flight is the shedding of modesty and shame, at least to a fair degree, when it comes to bathroom use and overall hygiene. I feel for the astronauts who have to live in that environment for the duration of their trip, and for the poor folks on clean-up duty when they land, as I believe these new capsules are reusable. If not, it's going to a museum, so either way, it'll be in need of a serious wipe down. To paraphrase Alien, "In space, everyone can smell your crap". I believe it was John Young who made the "floating turd" comment. I can only imagine the grimaces on the faces of NASA's PR people when that gem came across for all to hear. That was space reality, though, and it's awkward, funny, and poignant to have it memorialized in a transmission. Probably wasn't so funny when it was happening, though. Yuck!
  5. Yeah, I'm in the same boat - sigh... the thing that got me on ebay was the processing paperwork. It was a relatively smallish purchase, and I calculated the tariffs correctly, but then there was an additional $25 "processing fee" because they had to _do_ the tariff paperwork. But yeah, lots of stuff I'm not buying now because of tariffs. We'll have a home grown toy industry in no time at all.

Surprising, eBay usually includes the prices in shipping. Tariffs depend on the country of origin. If it's from Japan to the US it should be 15% but everyone is also adding handling charges now and the shipping companies are adding their own processing fees. So there are a bunch of variables that make it harder to know. The base shipping is also more expensive and only includes the fastest delivery methods generally. I was just complaining that anime export tried to charge me 19000 yen to ship a small toy. There are a lot of things I'm not buying right now because they would cost more to ship than buy... It's a bummer.
  8. @slide so clean and organized. My bench is a pigpen 😂
  9. Nice looking work station, @slide!
  10. @mikeszekely Do you have pics of Wheelie next to other Minibots? I'm going to wait it out for G2 Motormaster and Wildrider.

  12. Never heard it referred to this, is it written somewhere? I only saw it referred to "The Last Red Shoulder Custom" ATM-09-ST(TC)
  13. Can anyone tell me what tariffs are on this toy (going to the US)? I see a lot of tempting prices, but frakking tariffs make it a pain to figure out what I'm going to be charged...is it 15%? 60%? I've already been bitten by unexpected tariff prices once on ebay, so I'm not wanting to pick this up for $130-$160 and then end up paying $300 by the time it arrives. If that's the case, I'll just wait for the US arrival.
  14. Yeah. In the Origins/Roots of Ambition ova, Reeman's Squad uses regular AT-STs with 6-tube missile launcher and a custom spike weapon for Reeman's AT-ST. In the Unknown Red Shoulder ova, Gregore's squad uses a 7-tube missile launcher on their ST-TCs In Pailsen Files ova, Berkoff's squad uses a 12-tube missile launcher in both their regular army AT-STs and their ISS Black ST-TCs. Both have the updated biceps-detail, too. It'll be very impressive if Bandai can produce and sell the complete Pailsen Files ATs this time around in HMR, instead of just the regular AT-ST and Ground Fatty from their old 1/20 model kit line. Takara completed the Pailsen Files ATs in their Actic Gear line, in contrast...
  15. Yeah, it's awesome. The translator (Logan) did the hard work, and he did a damn good job of it. Kodachi's prose is phenomenal and I'm so happy its coming through clearly. And yeah, summaries aren't everything. Lotta misinformation goes around, so I'm very happy to be getting the work out there to clear any up.
  16. That seems pretty close to how Supergirl treats her dog. It’s just kinda there and if she really has to do something she might, or she might just find someone else to take care of it. At least Rocket always stayed more responsible for Groot’s existence
  17. Best of May'n - One Blue! And funny video of May'n at the games.
  18. First of all thanks for the hard work. It feels like we are finally getting a key missing link in the franchise. There are some interesting things on this chapter: The cameos from Alto and Ozma, the gorgeous battles Kodachi describes…. The vf-19EF seems to be a beast. Also, one misconception I got from reading the summaries online is that Chelsie never got to kill anyone while in the novel she clearly does. Also props to the translator, the prose is really good.
  19. Thanks, acknowledgements like that provide motivation when the task turns out to be so much more work than anticipated... Since the individual segments didn't scale consistently, I've had to assemble the model virtually and adjust the relative size and proportion of each part to confirm the proper shapes and sizes: I've also taken the opportunity to further refine the model, adding upgrades like the new control panel and handlebar grips (as well as the aforementioned fuel cap). The next prototype will be a major improvement.
  20. I think I focused on the presence of the dog for the same reason I do for Baby Yoda and Groot. I don't see such characters as real characters. But simply a manipulative ploy to make the audience go "aww".
