Kind of suspect this will ultimately fall apart when the question of financing is finally raised for real. After all, Paramount Skydance is still dealing with the debt, cashflow, and valuation problems from the merger of Viacom and CBS into Paramount seven years ago. The merger with Skydance and National Amusements was a fiscal desperation move that only made their problems worse as the organization got even more bloated. I'm guessing Paramount intends to back out after making a show of trying and failing to get financing, content in having denied Warner Bros to Netflix. Basically what the muskrat tried to do with Twitter before he got sued and the courts forced him to close the deal.

Story time. Somewhere around 1990, I was at the supermarket in my hometown in California, and on the way out, I saw mother-f***ing MOSPEADA gashapon figures in the gumball machine. I knew how impossible it was to find Robotech anything in 1990, so my jaw dropped. My penniless ass had no way of acquiring these other than begging my mom for some quarters, which she immediately declined. No amount of beseechment moved her. I was so pissed! Those toys would have made my year. I did find that crappy smallest scale transforming Gakken Legioss & Ride Armor set at an import store a few years later. But honestly those were so bad. I preferred the non-transforming gashapon that at least looked good in a single mode. I still, to this day, eye the gumball machines on my way out of the grocery store. I know it's never going to happen, but I can't stop.

you know the sad part is I would pay $35 for a 3-pack of official riobot minifigs (1 stick, 1 yellow, 1 houquet) painted in their correct colors so that I could display them on their bikes next to their legiosses (with pilots in them too :p)

In the absence of any concrete "Who" news, I present this little... er... Whugget? Doctoid? Whobit?... that is an instant way of telling approximately how old a British person is in the absence of any other information; simply say the title of the show this sketch is from and see if they immediately yell "CRACKERJACK!" [1] back: [1] "Crackerjack" was a long running BBC childrens variety/comedy/quiz show that ran, on and off, literally for decades. British people of a certain edge remember with a certain jealous fondness winners of each episodes competition round being seemingly buried under a pile of highly desirable toys from the period, such as Kenner "Star Wars" AT-AT Walkers and the like...

Yeah going RG as well, I just realized it will be my first ever! IMO Bandai should have placed Patlabor in the HMR line with the same 1/48 scale.

Having recently built MG Zeta Ver.Ka, I can see where people are coming from with the head being a bit to big. But IMO the issue stems more from the ill proportioned upper body and waist area. Aside from that, I also find the articulation for a MB to be absolutely poor. Overall the MB Zeta was a bit of a dissapointing release for me and I won't be entertaining any recolours. Only time I might pick up another MB type Zeta would be if it's Re-GZ. Its transformation spares the whole upper body and waist section, meaning there shouldn't be a greater impact to proportions and articulation.

Hi folks, first things first, apologies if this has been asked before, or if it's even in the forums. But my low-under-the-floor searching skills haven't let me found it if it even exists. What I would like to know is if there is any place you know to download and print 3d models of our favourite, most iconic, mechas. Specifically, I was interested on the beloved Mac+ ones (VF11B, YF19, YF21 and Ghost). Tried out there, and I'm afraid I've not found anything remarkable. do you know if those may be around? (I know the Ghost is, but not sure if we have the other ones already). Thanks all, and have the best weekend ever!

Kinda, but you gotta remember that Takara operates semi-independantly from Hasbro, and usually has it's own announcements for their releases in the Japanese market that are separate from Hasbro's releases for the worldwide market. 1- That's the point of Dramatic Capture Series. Re-releases with more accurate, more premium decos. 2- That's the Takara release of the Walmart retro G1 stuff. In the US we've had Bee (new paint), Gears (new head), Brawn (new head), and Seaspray (whole new toy), and we're waiting on Outback (retooled from Brawn) and Wheelie (new mold). 3-The Takara release of the Target-exclusive SS86 Sunstreaker, Hot Rod, and Hound. 4- Takara had previously announced a more animation-accurate repaint of MP-13 Soundwave in their MPG line. Stands to reason they'd repaint/re-issue all his cassettes, too. 5- While that Transformers Timelines set has been revealed by Hasbro they haven't solicited preorders yet, let alone shipped.- 18192 replies

Well, after blowing most of the show's budget on the ridiculously elaborate atrium set to the detriment of literally everything else they're naturally gonna shoot the money... Eh... that's such a common trope across Star Trek that it's hardly grounds to complain. Star Trek loves "A form you are comfortable with" for alien-created illusions, hallucinations, visions, and what have you. The Prophets in DS9 used it almost exclusively, only ever creating one original locale in the entire series. TBH, I've been expecting audiences to turn on AI characters for a while now thanks to the public's general overestimation of what modern AI technology is and the widespread (and entirely correct) view that that technology really only produces mindless derivative slop with no redeeming value. A bit unfair to characters like Data or the Doctor, IMO, who are self-aware artificial general intelligences rather than mindless virtual assistants like the computer voice interface... but still expected given the present climate. (In "The Ensigns of Command", Data seems to regard his own artistic experiments as AI slop due to believing he was not capable of originality... even advising Picard to see a different violinist's performance for essentially that reason.)
