  1. Past hour
  2. @derex3592 She sure looks perty in pictures! Nicely done BUFF. @505thAirborne Your battlestar is coming along great. Of the name choices, I'd go with Prometheus. Once again, another piece of art @Papa Rat. Eh... I've seen both of them, and I have to say I vastly prefer the original. Ship aside, which I prefer more than the TOS Galactica ships... I liked the mini-series, but that's as far as I would ever watch it again.
  3. I thought this was going to be animated. Hope it's great either way!
  4. Today
  5. Apparently this is still a thing:
  6. @electric indigoThanks. Tried out a new Gaia notes paint for this as an experiment. It has a nice amount of depth to it. Some shimmery blue will show up in the correct light that resembles a crushed velvet look/texture. @tekering Thanks so much. Creepy eyes for sure. Also look at your BSG along with so many others. Damn you have a museum of beautiful models right there. Is all of this at your home? Incredible! I will make sure I don’t miss on the BSG reboot. And sad to say I haven’t started Andor yet. 🙃 @Big s thanks so much. I mentioned it before but that Gaia lacquer paint was really nice. It sprays great at a ratio of 1-2.5 so you get a lot in a small jar. It also feels highly durable. More so than Mr Color but I may be mistaken. I also bought some of their surfacer and a metallic. I will try those out on the next build which is all gold. Very excited for that.
  7. Not sure where this post should live. After spending >100% item cost on shipping (tariffs) from Anime-Export, I wanna share any deal I find. HLJ taking 10% off ECMS shipping for a short time for USA customers.
  8. Love the colors on this guy. Nice and terrifying. It has a fitting name
  9. Those were Destroyers from the Nintendo game "無限航路 -Infinite Space."
  10. Congrats on completing a very realistic B-52, @derex3592. Another glorious Mortar Headd for your collection! Those yellow eyes on the shoulders are genuinely creepy. 😱 I've always been partial to the PEGASUS myself... It's that unique cluster of engines that sets it apart. The original Galactica occupies a spot in my collection, too, of course... ...but nuBSG is infinitely superior. For the past twenty years, it's been widely considered the best sci-fi TV series of all time (although Andor and The Expanse may have eclipsed it nowadays). Anyone familiar with the original BSG, however, is even more likely to appreciate it by comparison. 🤩
  11. Delta version underway. Have I mentioned lately just how much I love the ArtDink (Macross 30 and Macross Delta Scramble creators) modeling crew? They really went out of their way to make modifying these models really easy. For example, the Delta workroid is missing the 'calf muscles' that the Frontier workroid and Cheyenne both have, but instead of having to create the new skinnier leg, they had already made it that way and just slapped the calf bulges on overtop, so all I had to do was delete them and make the texture for the newly exposed surfaces. I'm half convinced that ArtDink had access to the filming CG (or, at least, some of the lower LOD versions) since the animators seem to have taken a lot of the same design steps as the game models did. Either way, it makes working on stuff like this a lot more fun because there's a clear path to get where I want to go with it and not a lot of tedium to get there. I will need to create a new chest, as the Delta workroid has a slightly different shape that isn't just an extension of the Cheyenne chest, but it's pretty minor, and interestingly the wheels on the Delta version appear to be bigger and differently attached than the others. There are a different set of gizmos on the back (kinda looks like air conditioning units), and obviously the arms will be all new, but I think it's already coming together pretty well with the leg up the game modelers gave me. More to come soon.
  12. Yawn. Wake me up if there is a new VF-1 variant in 1/48.
  13. Still hoping it’s great and not Spider Manure
  14. @derex3592 +100 points for the in-flight display! @Papa Rat The colors on the Terror look great, love the semi-flat stealth look.
  15. Cat Hardy. Robbie Robertson. Janet Smart.
  16. The Studio Series Thundercracker is a pretty good figure. I would like to see more like Skywarp as a future release. I passed on the Studio Series Soundwave. Looking forward to getting MPG-19 Soundwave.
  17. Original Yakuza 3 is going to disappear from steam as an individual game and only be included in the complete collection. so grab it if you want before today ends.
  18. Bandai being Bandai. reprint of the VF-1J. Store exclusive. I wonder if it has new box cover or slip case.
  19. Did you get the original Hot Toys 1/6 scale version of Han Solo and would you get this 1/4 scale version? Han looks good in these photos. I am still happy with the Hot Toys version I got. Now if they did another Luke Skywalker from A New Hope in either 1/6 scale or 1/4 scale, I would replace my 1/6 scale figure.
  20. What's also strange about this display is that none of the units show missiles! So until someone actually grabs one we will have to see what's up? But that light colour strap is awful, hopefully its only the display units?
