I get what you mean, and given my love for the 25, it obviously hasn't been a huge obstacle for me, either, just that I appreciate the design effort that went into the earlier valks and have to grin a bit at the later ones that give a bit of the "well, screw it" vibe with the battroid wing placements. Still look darn cool anyway.😁

Stellar! And I say that as someone who’s working - oh, so slowly - on my own design.

It comes with a waterslide decal. The description is really deceptive

I’m interested as well!

Wow. For some reason I thought the Deluxe Set versions of the VF-31 series kits included the waterslide decals as well as the acrylic figure and walkure decals. But they don't??? So after paying extra for the Deluxe Set I still have to get waterslides as extra? Yikes.

Thanks.

PvtPrivate started following 3D printed yamato 1/60 arm part replacement?

I don't recommend PLA for mechanical parts. They slowly creep under load resulting in loose joints. I found PETG to work fine, easier to print than ABS and have no creep issues. Some resins will also creep and loosen to a degree, but not as much as PLA does.

Fassbender was actually my favorite part of those movies

HMAGARAGE's 1/72 F-15 Kai. The panel lines look a little heavy IMO.

Arii is definitely a janky company, but I’ve built a bunch of their kits since they were the only Macross ones I could find back in the 80’s and early 90’s until the internet age. Basically they were my childhood and I rarely saw imai kits available

Nice job ! That came out great!

I agree. While I get to work on that Space Jockey I’m also getting back to what I love. Old janky kits. ♥️

I can make it upon request; it's homemade, actually. I haven't determined the cost yet, but if I get a few orders, I might.

Ah, got it. I know even PLA has different formulations like PLA+. Some do respond better than the original stuff. My current FDM printer can do PA6 and PA12 variants of Nylon, as well as those with carbon fiber reinforced, but it isn't a fun material to work with. I have heaters and dryers for it, and even then, if it is a humid day, all of that work is for nothing. Still, it's yielded some great fixes to things that were just impossible, like the VF-171 disintegrating triangles on the sides. And you're right, those materials aren't cheap. The PA12 CF version is exceptional with less water absorption, and is just great to work with, but it's almost $90 for 500g. So, I use it very sparingly. Maybe it'll get cheaper as the technology allows more accessibility to print those materials.

Now I picture a Xenomorph version of Gordon Ramsay doing the following to one of the dumb crew members: Normally I like Michael Fassbender, but he just didn't sit well with me in either of the movies. Just personal preference I suppose. The rest of the movie I honestly had tried to watch, but after multiple tries (my "bits and pieces" comment), I gave up. I understand your point; I guess stupidity just overloads my "hr geigercounter" too much here.

Guess Titan Comics and HG aren't the only ones who can rip off artwork...

Just search Eric Andre show intro on YouTube. Honestly the intros were the best part of the show. Pure chaos all the way -
Yeah, just some lil ones here and there and it’ll just be perfect

Oh, it 100% is... it's the ventral view from this line art. It's really obvious they tried to cover up the tracing/photoshopping by smudging out the details of the Macross's ventral engines and the gap between the main engines.

Considering what easy marks Humans are for Xenomorph XX121, with so very many examples of them being stupid enough to go stick their faces directly in a giant wet obviously dangerous space egg of unknown origin... It'd probably read like a food critic's newspaper column. A penny for Big Chap's thoughts. That's the only XX121 specimen to go through it all twice. First on the Nostromo and then again on Romulus station. If he'd lived long enough, he might be upset at getting upstaged at the end by Mark Zuckerberg "The Newborn". Alien: Covenant isn't quite that bad. It's rubbish as a prequel to Alien, but it's a passable generic monster movie and Michael Fassbender does deliver a pretty good performance as the creepy and insane android David 8. The reason I mentioned it as an exception is that it's unique among Alien titles for being a xenomorph massacre where "The Company" was genuinely not responsible.
