    Janeway's a dice roll. Depends who is writing this week whether she's going to let you off with a warning or beam you down to LV-426 with a smile on her face. I can see it now. Beto: "We have a free press. You can't imprison me just because my writing made you mad." Sisko: "Oh, I'm not mad. I'm disappointed. I've done horrible things. But instead of writing about the time I dropped bioweapons on an inhabited colony, rendering the entire planet uninhabitable-" Beto: "You did WHAT?" Sisko: " - or that Romulan ambassador I ordered my tailor from the Obsidian Order to assassinate to open a new front in the Dominion war and buy us some breathing room-" Beto: "You ordered - wait, your tailor is from WHERE? " Sisko: "- or any of the other LEGITIMATE crimes I've committed that I DESERVE to be raked over the coals for, you made up a pack of lies about my crew that aren't fit to line the bottom of my barkeeper's bird cage. And you didn't even stop to think what my first officer, a CONVICTED TERRORIST- Beto: "Your first officer is WHAT?" Sisko: "- WITH ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUES would do when she heard the rumors you were fabricating from whole cloth. This isn't about oppressing the freedom of the press you claim to be a part of, this is protective custody. Though I'm told jails are better at keeping people in than they are at keeping people OUT. Pleasant dreams, sir." Beto: "Excuse me, mister constable sir? Could you maybe post additional guards? Just to make sure I don't escape?" Odo: "Unfortunately, my post here isn't large enough to add additional personnel. It's just me, the 'changeling infiltrator' you wrote about. And I was just leaving for my evening regeneration. *chuckle* I'll see you in the morning." Beto: "I didn't know you actually WERE a changeling!"

    That is amazing @tekering - such fine detailing, is it a resin printer that you're using? You guys are so industrialist and have built so much! All of it looking so great. I've just learned to use our PLA printer at work and that's this 3D Print of the TOS Phaser. It's finally finished, the thing I hate about PLA prints is the thing I hate most in modeling... SANDING. It's so much sanding which is the part of modeling I hate, and there is so much sanding to do on PLA prints. Your paint finish is only as good as the surface you've prepped for it and I learnt the price in my youth of speeding ahead to painting when I've not properly prepped the surface. Anyways, I can finally call my 3D Print TOS Phaser finished with the metal parts I got from eBay. I missed out on the Wand company phaser back then, now that I got my Wand company Tricorder, I felt I had to complete the trifecta of the Tricorder, Communicator and Phaser. It's too bad this is just a static prop and nothing lights up and I have to make pew pew pew sounds with my mouth 😛

    Yeah, you'd think so. Especially given that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds usually aligns itself with pre-Kurtzman Star Trek in depicting the Federation as an enlightened civilization that places considerable value on ethical behavior and personal integrity. One has to wonder if the writer's an only child... because anyone with siblings would probably find the non-reaction to what happens the strangest thing of all. Worf is probably the least threatening person on that list! He'd just tell them "You have no honor!" and have them confined to quarters. Kirk or Picard would murder them with words before confining them to quarters and ending their careers with a sternly worded letter of complaint. Sisko would hit 'em with the side eye and then tell Odo to throw them in a holding cell, probably more to save them from the wrath of Major Kira than as a punishment. Archer would smile blandly and confine them to quarters. Freeman would just yell impotently and Burnham would just cry about it. FAFO with Janeway... you just don't. Not if you want to live. There is a BODY COUNT and it is NOT small. (Canonically, it's in the trillions by 2401.)

    I’d like to swap parts. The micro missile boxes aren’t really my thing, but the triple missile racks from SDFM are. Shame you can’t mix & match.

    Part of the og post seems to have disappeared. Originally Swann had made the comment that Global looked a bit like Tony Iommi. And somehow part of my reply post seems to have gone missing since I pointed out that it was the mustache and I had attached a pic of him before he did the added chin hair. it all probably would’ve made much better sense if things were attached and in full, but they seem to have come in kinda choppy. That and being a Metalhead would help as well

    Yeah, I get the feeling they were trying for that Star Trek VI effect where the writers put the racism on the minority character to make it more effective narratively. The ending is really unsatisfying too, because there are no real consequences for him either.

    The Yammie Ghost itself fits the Arcadia VF-0xx fine. Only the ordnances (missile pods, fuel tank) don't, as the Arcadia mounting holes are slightly bigger and will not hold them without some fillers.

    Had some good episodes of Secrets of the Silent Witch and Betrothed to My Sister's Ex this week. Dan Da Dan was initially a pretty interesting, but has bogged down so very badly in this "Evil Eye" business that I'm just bored with it. You can only make a character so stupid until their voice becomes The Most Annoying Sound. Jin started on the wrong side of that line and he has been tracking steadily in the wrong direction. Having a redeemable villain is a fairly standard staple of shounen anime and has been forever... but there are some types of villain who AREN'T and trying to pretend that they are is just wasting everyone's time.

    I'd give this a pass as Hasbro doing something for kiddies instead of a collector... if Takara weren't also doing their kid-oriented Wild King line that craps all over this. Yeah, if only Mixmaster would ship. It's the only figure from the wave I don't have. 😒 Yeah, I mean, distribution is pretty sketchy (my local Target doesn't seem to have jack, but my local Walmart is full up on the current AOTP wave. But yeah, Megatron is part of the current Studio Series wave that should be hitting shelves about now.

    G1 Hook had a poor leg design, let's be honest; chromed plastic isn't really known for it's resiliency and the nub at the knee that the cab/ lower leg attached to was kind of flimsy.
