Which period do you want to live in the Macross

I chose 2009-2012. For I'd like to fly a Valkyrie. I shall fly with one of Macross' many Valkyrie Squads. Change my name to Gai Spotwith and get pissed whenever someone calls me by my birth name. Also, being with the Megaroad fleet would be interesting (I wanna see what happens).

The 2030's on up would realistically probably be the best time, in my opinion. No huge war endagering all of mankind into extincion (even the Protodevlin war was relatively contained. Earth, Eden, and untold other human worlds never got even a bit of it.) I'd be able to play flight sims that included the VF-4 Lightning III. Life would generally be pretty comfortable for pilots and civilians alike. Plus, being able to listen to all of the famous Macross musicians from Minmay to Fire Bomber.

Plus, think about this. How many war movies are there today? How many World War II, Civil War, you name it war movies? There would probably be hundreds of Space War I movies, including 'DYRL?', tv series, tv specials, etcetera. Valkyrie and destroid toys would probably be more common, capital ships, too.

I can imagine a 1/48 VF-1S going for at least 20 bucks if we lived in the Macross universe.

The time of Macross Plus seemed to be pretty peaceful and had advancements in technology and economies. Looks like a good time in the future to be.

I chose Mac+ era cuz it seems pretty cool, though I wouldn't mind running around during Mac7. Either way, by then Vf-1 valks are available for private ownership, right? That's just too kick ass, though the chance to pilot VF-17s and VF-19s is tempting.

Easily 2045, mass space colonization means tons of planets to visit, Fire Bomber, VF-19's & VF-22's in service, plus VF-1's & VF-4's would be sold cheap surpluss, Giant Meltran with Giant Meltran bra's, relatively safe period of time to live, and even though Sharon Apple would be gone, the basic technology run by humans (without psycho bio-nueral chip) would almost assuredly become a comon concert attraction.

Alright, seeing as how Macross Plus got me into that mess I'm in now, I'll take the 2040 Macross Plus timeline. The music is sweet, the aircraft are hot, and I love Lucy.

Granted with my luck, I'd be stuck in a VF-4 squadron on some quiet front, the aircraft would always be breaking down because they're older than me, I'd be completely clueless about pop culture anyway, and I'd be stuck in some assignment with a ton of dudes or enlisted chicks.

Well, I guess the future isn't all that different, but at least I'd get holographic porn.

The period featured here in the mostly Max and Milia storyline is what I consider to be a much truer continuation of the Macross story. In the same vein as M+, as opposed to M7... which is fun, but completely different in feel than what I see as Macross.

2045 onwards. Even cops can ride valks there. I would probably get a job catching the whale poachers and chasing people who steal VF1's in my own souped up machine. You get the benefit of being on a planet with hot female elf women wearing clothes that leave little to the imagination. Also the sharon apple hologram technology will have advanced by then to have realistic imagery that anyone can hack or mod. (sort of like photoshop but with 3d images)

I would probably end up creating my own homebrew porn and selling it on the galactic network to fund a valk and destroid collection.

Plus there are no scary enemies: The protodevlin are scared of basara and the PC wiped themselves out of existence. All the spoils of thier previous wars go to us. We also have portable fold to get from one place to another quickly, and there are improvements made to the valks in that time.

I mean it is a time where even 14 year old children can pilot the planes with ease and no adult supervision or anything.

I think having one at a time is bad enough. Besides the whole idea behind that system would be to procreate. I'm not super cool on the idea of a dozen kids knocking on my door two decades from now calling me daddy or all these ex-girlfriends trying to get child support off me because the "UN Mass Repopulation Program" turns out to be like every other UN Program. The flight pay just ain't that good.
