jvmacross
Not much of a Macross kit collector, but I can definitely appreciate the magnitude of this find. Amazing time vault of Macross history....wish the best for Wise Guys Hobby's upcoming sales!
Shawn
Please spread the word if you can. I don't do any social media other than this site, so if you want to tweater and facespace it, please do LOL 😛 It truly is a once in a lifetime discovery, I hope with enough support we can encourage Anthony at Wise Guys Hobbies to really dive in with many more pictures and videos. I know I've had dreams of rummaging through model kits on shelves and discovering something new...I can't be the only wacko! Going through all these cases of discovered kits would be a very fun experience!
Bolt
It's mega.. this is a time vault of the 80's sci fi kit world. Just looking over the items up on eBay , and I'm like .. Prices aren't bad, IMO. Though I can't tell you how many of those kits i once had. My kid self just didn't know..

Shawn
I tried to email Hobby Japan Vintage about it. Would be awesome to see it in a magazine! I'll probably need to engage Gywn or someone for the Japanese version of the story submission.

Yeah, the prices are very reasonable if not flat out below market pricing....The Wise Guys are actually being pretty cool about their pricing...they currently have the market cornered on several of these old school anime kit lines....again, best of luck for their sales

Shawn
Having fun frame stepping into the videos and identifying the specific cases! From video #1, room #1, right wall Top to bottom we have From video #1, room #1, middle right wall I believe we have 6x cases of the Arii 1/100 small missile Regult around the U shape Top of the U on the right I think is the Arii 1/100 Super Gerwalk In the center is the Arii 1/100 Super Fighter and I think that says AR-327 on the box, which could be the Aroo 1/100 Scout Regult On the left wall is a Southern Cross In the hallway Imai 1/100 Tomahawk (not sure which color box) and AR-302 implies the Arii 1/100 Defender

pengbuzz
That looks like a nice stash of models. Can't afford any of it; our utilities just went up again and after paying it today, wiped us out until January. Good luck on whoever buys from that. Chronocidal
Holy cow.. I.. kind of want to grab a pile of the old Testors/Nichimo 1/200 VF-1s, just because I think one of those may have actually been one of my first model kits ever. I remember playing with it at around age four. That is just an insane pile of awesome.
geck
Usually you see these kits...once and a while...here and there...like on eBay or some flea market. What an incredible inventory and time capsule! Not only extremely rare kits...but brand new and shrink wrapped in some cases. That name...GTC...jogged my memory and I hadn't seen that in probably 35+ years! Incredible. I miss the 80's quite a bit. What a incredibly creative time that was. nightmareB4macross
What a treasure trove! To see so many classic model kits in their pristine and original condition is amazing. Makes me think there could possibly be others out there like this with more model kits and toys.

Looking forward to Feb 2023. I noticed that the video-links in the post only play audio. Can't wait for part 2. Thanks again for the blast from the past! Shawn
I was going to ask around if anyone had an earlier catalog to share, would love to see more of the earlier items. You might want to try a different browser? The videos are there in a desktop browser And I just checked my my phone-they play in CHROME, but Firefox is not seeing them Interesting! Open CHROME
