We had all this filler and fluff that really brought out NOTHING and then The last 2 episodes somehow were able to hurt me about as hard as my ex girlfriend leaving me with the dog and ice cube trays. The twist concerning Omega and Karr—apart from voice actors Ang and Castle-Hughes having a shared Kiwi accent—that came out of nowhere. Season 2 should be fun. All the other clones do not carry that gene so any time blood (or any genetic material) is cloned/transferred, the m-count degrades. That means should Palpatine clone himself 🙄, his midichlorian count would not transfer between him and his clone, making an imperfect clone. Omega, like most folks in the galaxy, does not have an M-count high enough to be particularly Force-sensitive but she has the genetic template to keep midichlorians from degrading if one were to clone a Force-sensitive. Using Grogu was likely their post-Palpatine attempt to create a "Snoke" since there wasn't a Palpatine around to extract genetic material from. I don't understand fans and the Youtube talking-heads harping on certain things (where's a Clone rebellion [Seriously, what “Clone rebellion”? Like so many things in the Empire, they swept the Clones under the rug and let them rot. End of story.], Where's Rex?, blah blah blah, etc.). Keep it focused on your characters and THEIR story arc. But Hunter, Wrecker, and Echo didn’t exactly have much growth throughout this season. I get the Batchers’ “mission” was to protect Omega. And the ending showed that. So, it ended solidly. Only that funding was reallocated to Project Stardust. Seeing that it was still around in The Mandalorian, I would say it only suffered a decade-ish-long delay. Palpatine probably would kept some funding off-the-books to keep it alive. The dark lord needed to find a principal investigator to head it up again and find some new specimens, neither which were not easy to come by now. LOL....if you're going to bring up semantics....I could tell you I never asked if it was stopped...but I guess it's ok for you to make the same assumption that it was more or less on "hiatus" (is that better?) for a decade (which is likely not true considering the armada the Emperor and his loyalists also amassed on Exegol during this period of time)....meh...as I've said in the past, some of these shows are good but they all ultimately still lead to TROS... So, if you like the Disney Trilogy, then the events of the last episode were just a setback; if you consider the Rey Palpatine "saga" a complete travesty and abomination, then project necromancer hit a dead end after all the records were destroyed and that was that, relegating that whole sequels shenanigans as nothing more significant than poorly conceived and written fan-fiction relegated to irrelevancy...
