    VF-4 in flight

    From the album: LEGO VF-4

I took this pic in a field near my house one beautiful day last summer (2014) to use for a placard for a display at BrickCon, a large LEGO convention held each year in Seattle. The model itself was attached to a stick made of clear technic pieces, and my wife dutifully held it up against the sky for me to photograph. I don't own Photoshop, so I used Paint to eradicate the stick. It was my first time editing a photograph, and I think it turned out ok...she actually looks like she's soaring.
  2. hello dear collector today i will share my collection who took 22 years to compose enjoy
  3. Two years ago, in 2015, a video of a LEGO SDF-1 on Youtube, inspired me to build my own version from scratch. The build started in LDD (LEGO Digital Designer) which took roughly one year. In 2016 I started to acquire all the needed parts for the build. The build was completed in February 2017. Build time: 2 years Bricks: approx. 11.000 Length: 43.3 inches or 1.1 meters weight: approx 33lbs or 1kg Does it transform ?: No And here are pictures of the completed SDF-1.

    MMD x Macross

Picture by みせたがり. Hello! I'd like to introduce you to a little project series I'm attempting to start! As of late, I've come to really enjoy making 3D Macross pictures using a program known as MMD (MikuMikuDance) It's a freeware program that was originally made as a super basic 3D platform meant to be hand in hand with the Vocaloid singing software. However, over the years MMD has become quite advanced, and many models that aren't just moe Vocaloid girls are compatible with the program now! MME (MikuMikuEffects) makes it 10x easier to load the image with effects and make pictures look great! Anyone can download MMD here and I'm more than happy to walk anyone through how to use it if interested. As you can imagine, I'm utilizing the program to bring us some Valkyrie action! Maybe different Macross scenes in the future! But I have one issue, I hope some one ...anyone would be willing to help me with? I don't have very many Macross models, Variable Fighters or otherwise. Most all of my models I use are made by みせたがりP (Misetagari-P). His Uploader: http://ux.getuploader.com/9566587/ His Nico: http://www.nicovideo.jp/user/9566587 His Twitter: https://twitter.com/ZxcvbnmPark To my knowledge he has made: VF-0 SV-51 VT-1 VF-1 (Vermillion Platoon colors+ others I haven't looked at yet) VF-1J&S (Unsure of colors) VF-1 With strike and armored packs Queadluun-Rhea Regult Ex-Gear (Empty so I can apply it to human models I have) Macross Quarter VF-25 (Came with a bunch of colors. Not sure how many yet) VF-171 and 171EX VF-27 YF-29 VB-6 Vajra Other Macross models I have found from various sources that I can use in my project! YF-19 Isamu: 相良P VF-19 Fire Valkyrie:相良P Sheryl and Ranka in various outfits from the movies and TV series: Pon School Uniform Alto: Pon Ai-Kun: Pon Destroid Tomahawk: SKG Destroid Defender: SKG Would anyone know of any more places I can find 3D Macross models? I know there are plenty of 3D model Macross threads here on the forums. But any compatible with MMD? I would LOVE a VF-17 or VF-4 to help illustrate scenes from FalconKPD's Fan comic(Which you should TOTALLY read!!!) Anyway! I'll post all of my pictures I have thus far for this project as replies. AND YES! Requests are open! But please note I'm limited to what みせたがり/the other modelers listed have made... so if there's any other places people can think of how to acquire more MMD Macross models... let me know!!!!
  5. As promised ill be starting the ok im using a Tamiya Modellers Knife, Metal Ruler, adhesive lacquer, syringe w/ blunt needle, Cutting Mat, tweezers, cyanoacrylate Thin (Super glue), a dull needle or similar, and a pair of scissors for rough cutting. the syringe is for easy application and dosage of the glue of cause it doesnt have to Tamiya any model knife can be used, in the end its what you feel most comfortable with. now the super glue is not a must... but i find it very useful in certain situations! the needle is for bevel the paper on foldlines...(if u have absolute no clue as to what i just wrote, tell me and ill post a video of it) now first up, a little fun fact: These are in scale!! and remember: to those of you out there who is also building this model, ask me if u have any trouble with this build... or if you feel that i havent explained a troublesome part, thoroughly enough! what i did firstly was to scan the pages from the original magazine and scale them up from A4 to A3 which changes the size from 50 cm in length to 75 cm thats why it seems so big on my cutting mat, just an info so you dont get confused ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ok here we go! First some simple parts should be straight foreward now this bigger piece, its important to start glueing the big flaps first, to make sure they lineup with the panelines. a friend of mine could not figure out how the next big piece would fit together, it actually to me a couple of glances.. the need to be seperated first this is it for today.....
  6. As I haven't posted here in some time, I have started an interest thread in a 1/72 Zentradi power suit project here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42217 If there are still any members hoping for more of my 1/72 models, this is your chance!
  7. Aaaand back to Macross! Maybe. So as I had stated in a previous thread, there were some outstanding Macross subjects still needing to be done, namely the Zentradi battle suits. I'm offering this subject as the next contender in the 1/72 series, which would have the following characteristics: - based on the TV series design -can be built with cockpit open or closed -in-scale with my previously-released Zentradi soldier, so will be quite a large kit (22.5-23cm tall!) Due to its size and the complexity of the sculpt, this would NOT be a cheap offering at 355.00 Canadian ($285 US approximately) but it would be... Glorious!!! As you have all put a $200 CAD deposit, there is the $155 CAD outstanding balance on the kits as well as the shipping fees which are as follows: $30.00 CAD up to 2 kits for USA/Canada $72.00 CAD for international shipping. Also very important: please add an extra 5% to the total to cover transaction fees if there are any. Generally PP will let you know before you send if there are fees and ask you if you will pay or make the recipient pay. I will commence casting on Monday once I test and group the molds for optimum casting.
  8. Here's another HIGH QUALITY commission piece I AgaveCacuts had do. We can ALL say he's one of the BEST when it comes to MACROSS Valkyries. I Present The Variable Glaug UN Spacy. It's another OBSCURE one, but I fell in LOVE with it when I saw it in the OPENING of MACROSS M3. It's a KICK-ASS Design and I really APPRECIATE the time AGAVECACUTS does with these. This was ANOTHER Difficult model because source Material was Scare but he has another HOME RUN. More Renders to come. So I present the Variable Glaug UN Spacy.
  9. With all the painting I have been doing of late - and the fact that this Tomcat Model was dropped into my life complete, however No Decals. My Passion for Macross - and Roy Fokker's VF-1S I wondered what the Last Tomcat might have looked like when the VT's were brought into service... 11 hours of masking and here is the result...so far! I would love all of your input on this direction of model building - imagination, but with thought.
  10. Alright, so I've got this little Macross project going that I'm actually making huge strides in. It's called "Macross Elysium"; a fan comic made by myself that features original characters and an original setting. The prologue itself has already been uploaded onto deviantart and tumblr. You can find the links here: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/art/Macross-Elysium-Chapter-One-Page-1-489723260 https://www.facebook.com/MacrossElysium/ In this thread, I'll be posting updates, character art, and even the occasional mecha designs! Stay tuned! EDIT: I'm going to link each chapter here for those interested: Chapter 1: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/51587732/Macross-Elysium-CHAPTER-ONE Chapter 2: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/52987946/Macross-Elysium-CHAPTER-TWO Chapter 3: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/55039743/Devious-Folder Chapter 4: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/57297697/Macross-Elysium-CHAPTER-4 Chapter 5: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/58498902/Devious-Folder Chapter 6: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/gallery/59892071/Devious-Folder Chapter 7: http://kylefalconkpd.deviantart.com/…/Macross-Elysium-CHAPT…
  11. Spent about three hours getting this thing painted up..and hour to take off the masking TAPE... REALLY !!! HAPPY with how this turned out! Would you like to see the development shots of the masking process!
  12. OK...writer I am NOT!!! Model Builder, Yes! Here she is...well the start of things anyway. Been slugging away at this wonderful model off and on for about a week...in between all other projects, life, and so on... Assembly is going well...no major issues...some - watch the bloody direction - of the parts issues... So what I figured, is if YOU my fellow builders have questions as the build develops - ask, I will answer! Let the games begin! (in the background is the Hasegawa 1/72 VT for size conparison...and yes that is the main hull of a 1/350 Enterprise A)

  17. After reading some of the comments in the Southern Cross topic and thinking for a while. For the first time I came to the conclusion or perhaps realization that a lot of the anime I like might be past its selling point for most. I grew up with this stuff and it’s still cool to me. Sometimes it feels like yesterday even though it was back in the 80s or early 90s. I still want items from these shows but the majority either don’t or grew out of it. Which is sad because current technology allows many anime toys, models, and figures to be produced at high quality. I even came up with a new project idea while thinking about one of these older anime shows. To me Southern Cross is great. I still want a hovertank, hovercycle, and Dana figure. I was listening to the music from Zillion and remembered that we never got the full series over here. I only have some of the VHS tapes. Something happened to my SEGA Master System games. I need to get them again. I still want well done Dangaio team ships that are transformable with fairly detailed figures. Accurate Voltron lions ever since it was mentioned in a topic here. So much should be coming out but it's almost like we get a tease and then a cancellation. I’m still upset about Rook’s cyclone / ride armor. There was a good Noriko kit from Gunbuster that never came out or is so rare I can’t find it. And of course figures of Minmay and others from Macross since the days of unpainted kits being the best you can get are long gone. Do you guys still want this stuff? Or are you satisfied with what we are getting?
