  1. The biggest problem I see with trying to use the tail fin as some sort of shield is that it *might* save the mech, but you'll probably loose the tail fins which ould drastically decrease the usability of fighter mode if not completely restrict the mech to battroid/Gerwalk.
  2. I meant has a cap that is threaded to match tamiya Jars. I've owned siphon feed airbrushes before, but I don't use them because they suck compared to my current one. as for storage, Tamiya jars are nice but I don't actually go through them fast enough to have an actual collection built up (I only use them for brush painted details). I just buy spare Mr Hobby bottles from Hobbywave. They're cheep and I can throw 3~4 of them in to an order and not pay any extra for shipping. Mr hobby bottles are the best because they have a separate plastic gasket that seats into the bottle rather than the cap so they're super easy to clean.
  3. what airbrush does that? and why the heck would you want to feed an airbrush strait form a bottle of paint? as for paint, I like I use model master and Tamiya acrylic as that's what I can get locally but recently I've gotten in to using Tamiya spray lacquer through an airbrush.
  4. because you can't make repaints of Mylene's valk and nobody gives a sh*t about Ray.
  5. Dose anyone else think this looks just like a red version of Skeletor from the live action He-Man movie? Anybody?
  6. Sunshine is awesome because it has Cillian Murphy in it.
  7. given the size I'm actually less inclined to want one, I have no idea where I would fit something like that.
  8. Guys, really. The reason we know EDF has nothing to do with robotech is that EDF actually stands a chance of getting made.
  9. I actually passed on the other gun snipers in hopes of this one coming out. Also I love silly fan wank extra's like the giant robot grocery basket.
  10. I think it's Just a call back to SDF:M like so almost everything else in Frontier. We've seen two Zentradi with that type of faceplate, I don't think we can draw any kind of conclusion from that, it's just as likely that they both have the same skull/face injury as it being some sort of command body modification or clone defect.
  11. so raunchy it's hosted on the main site: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/_books_hentai.htm
  12. for $250? NO THANK YOU I'll stick to model kits, thank you vary much. I find they hold together just fine as long as you're not crashing them in to each other making explosion noises.
  13. no matter how much you hate it, it still made $836 million international box office gross.
  14. I've actually never heard it explained that way . I've always been under the impression that in an atmosphere the VF uses internally carried Hydrogen to run a fusion reactor, which super-heats air brought in by the intakes and then expels it out the back for thrust (like how a real Nuclear turbojet works except for sci-fi fusion reactors instead of conventional fission reactors.) As for in space, I don't recall any official explanation but I believe the two most likely answers are it either functions as a Nuclear thermal Rocket where it simultaneously uses on board hydrogen to sustain a fusion reaction, and as a propellant that gets heated by the fusion reactor. alternatively it's simply a fusion reactor that vents the the helium byproduct of the fusion process as a source of thrust. (or perhaps it's a combination of the two.) :edit: also, I don't see how the engine could efficiently extract hydrogen from the atmosphere, given that there's almost none just floating around up there.
  15. maybe I'm the only one who's looking forward to this but: http://www.hlj.com/product/kbyzd48 also I can't wait for this one: http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYZD44 basket of missiles
  16. I've just never been bothered by strait gore. monster movies, slasher films and violent action movies never really bug me. and when the blood and guts are that level of ludicrous I just can't help but laugh. Actually the only thing that bothers me is torture. I can watch something like that or the most recent Rambo movie all day and enjoy myself, but I just can't stand movies like Saw (admittedly the saw movies are also stupid). but yeah, over the top violence that makes absolutely no sense is awesome. I kind of want to make a GIF of the chick getting her hair twisted 'til her face inexplicably rips off.
  17. that was so f*cking funny.
  18. I've actually never understood why this is such a big deal. Personally I think him making mechanical web-shooters for himself is a little silly. I mean, are we honestly supposed to believe that a high school kid is able to bang out a piece of hardware that can combine stable, room temperature chemicals into high-strength polymer filament as some soft of weekend project, when the worlds largest chemical companies haven't been able to do the same thing despite spending millions of dollars in research money?
  19. No, I don't actually. I was maybe 9~10 when I say it for the first time and it was only mildly scary to me then. I think you're just a light weight.
  20. VALKYRIE DESIGN, not animation error that was half-assedly retconed into a crappy English adaptation from the 80's that nobody in their right mind cares about.
  21. I'm about to cave but need some advice: Do I get a VF-0A for $140, an SV-51 for $150, or an Ingram for $165? I can only afford 1 and I can't decide
  22. I love the VA-3. I also love the VF/VA-14, the YF-21/VF-22, the VF-27 and the VF-11MAXL
  23. question: if you have FTL technology that lets you get that close to your target without them being able to retaliate, why not just strap a thermonuclear device to a fold drive and fold it to within range of your target? admitedly when you move closer to large bodies like asteroids, space colonies and the planets they would be orbiting smaller craft would be more useful. You wouldn't have small MANEUVERABLE craft though. The problem is that as you get closer to large bodies in space, gravity becomes a huge factor in how you move. put simply you can't rapidly accelerate, decelerate, or change directions while under the influence of gravity because you'll either be pulled into the source of said gravity or be flung out into deep space. The problem is you'd never want to/be able to hide in an asteroid field. It's not like in the movies where you have hundreds of slow moving large objects with room to zip between. An asteroid field is going to have hundreds of large objects, thousands of medium size objects and hundreds of thousands of small objects all moving at high speeds in different directions, all of which will take out your ship if they hit you. If your opponent where to enter an asteroid field you'd be better off calling it a day and heading home, as the other guy will probably be crushed/pelted to death by the millions of high speed projectiles in that asteroid field.
