    because a kilogram is a unit of mass where as pounds is a measure of weight (as in mass accelerating down at ~9.8m/s2 under gravity) which is the same as force (mass accelerating at a given rate), right? (Seriously, I'd like to know if I'm remembering this right. It's been a while since I took physics.)

    but the YF-23 lost. Hence my vote for the VF-0. BTW, this is slightly off topic but, I've been been fiddling around with my Yamato SV-51 recently and I can't help but think that it would be much cooler if instead of the boosters just sitting on top of the wing, they where integrated into the wing where the joint is. I would like that.

    Because the film does a really poor job of conveying the fact that they're supposed to be robots. (at least I felt that way. I've watched the film several times and never realized that they where supposed to be robots until I read it on wikipedia.)

    I've always felt that if you took A.I. and lopped off the last 15 minutes or so of the movie it would have been a much better film. I've always hated that it ends with aliens and them flash cloning his mom, it's Just so cheesy and stupid. Personally I would have preferred Kubrick at any age to Spielberg but I agree that had he done it 30 years earlier it would have been amazing.

    dude, can you imagine how large a star destroyer would have to be in order to be in scale with a reasonably sized Yamato? Conversely a Yamato in scale with a reasonably sized star destroyer would probably be the size of a AA battery.

    Well, we've figured out that the VF-0 has more missiles but the SV-51's are better because they can blow up ships. Also the VF-0's laser weapons are weaker except for when they're not; and the SV-51 is more maneuverable except for when the VF-0 is more maneuverable. I think it's all pretty clear cut actually
