    except for that one time when they did bring him back. and that other time when they brought him back as a hologram and the (technically non-canon) time they brought him back by giving him robot legs. oh yeah, and they had him in the force unleashed game (all be it in the form of a robot that was making itself look and fight like Maul)

    the cons are that such a conversion will in all likelyhood be: a) an online exclusive b) expensive as hell c) unpainted d) expensive as f*ck (on top of already having to pay full price for a DYRL SDF-1) overall, DO NOT WANT. if they're going to do a Daedalus and Prometheus just release a "Macross the First" edition. Also your colors are wrong. The the deck surface should be much darker and more of a teal color than the blue on the ARMD's and the upper hull color should be a dark gray closer to the dark blue-gray on the SDF-1's legs/main body. the Red form the GX-57 is close enough though.

    Durandal is just a variant spelling of Durendal. And they probebly named the Jet after the sword either way, rather than after a french anti-runway bomb that itself was named after the sword.

    actually Yamato's customer service is really good, but because they don't sell Macross products in North America they can't legally help you. You have to either go through a Japanese based retailer (like HLJ or Hobbysearch) or get someone with a japanese address to contact Yamato Japan's customer service for you. best thing to do would be to call/email whoever you bought it from and ask if they can get you spare parts.

    I think Durendal sounds about right, given that they've been on a mystical sword kick as of late with macross R. BTW, is the DX render supposed to represent the plastic coloring or something? It's got the little black stripe on the side, but everything else is either wrong or missing. It still looks like shit either way. Side view is just awful; canopy is crap, nose shape is wrong, underside is gappy as hell and the tail fins are awful. And what's with the bulging clear bits on the top of the jet, is it going to have MAXL titties or something? I actually like the mid wing engines but they should have been rotated 90 degrees so that the intake was on the underside. So yeah, f*ck you bandai.

    It's not, it just likes to pretend it is. The Minovsky Particle is supposed to be an as yet undiscovered elementary particle which has near-zero rest mass and can have either a positive or negative charge (which is so strong that it can disrupt all forms of EM radiation to some degree, and acts as a continuous EMP that fries unshielded electronics). The problem is that no such particle exists according to the standard Model of particle physics. Now because the Standard Model is only a provisional theory (and therefor an incomplete one) there's room for more elementary particles to exist (things like Gravitons, and the X and Y bosons). That said, no proposed elementary particle has ever been described to behave like the Minovsky particle and there's no evidence that such a particle would ever exist. So particle physics doesn't say that the Minovsky particle CAN'T exist, but nothing supports the possibility that it does exist.

    This. The siphon feed one's I've used all seem to have more parts/are harder to take apart than gravity feeds, and the parts that tend to collect the most paint are harder to clean because of their shape. (talking about Paasche and badger airbrushes here). the Testors Aztek brushes are absolute crap. Shit melts if you run lacquer through it...

    My point was more that a combination Tailfin/shield will have a major draw back compared to a dedicated shield like the VF-11 or VF-19a. If either of those craft where to loose their shield, the effect on Fighter mode would be minimal.
