  1. Man, you can really see all the bumps and bulges where crap was added onto the airframe after design. One of this plane's greatest problems.
  2. 1/60 scale here! Good work sir!
  3. Well, at least in the TV series, it was the sky that seemed to win Alto, not Ranka or Sheryl...
  4. That's... awesome. Is the pilot delighted he gets to fly a Hayabusa or terrified he'll bend it?
  5. That's not a Zero, friend, that's a Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa! Perhaps even rarer! Zeroes are Mitsubishi birds made for the Navy. These Nakajimas were for the Army. Not strictly comparable, although they are contemporaries. I always liked the Pucara, it seemed well designed and thought out.
  6. Wow, that Embraer looks cool.
  7. Wow, some great progress! Keep going please!

Agreed, and I think it will be solid. They got the YF-29 and YF-30 right on the first try, and the VF-19 ADVANCE. It'll be good.

Didn't bother with this one, congratulations to all who snagged one! Waiting for Delta 02,04,or the 31A. I'll also grab a CF Drakken III, or perhaps Cassim's if it comes out first.
  10. Wow, that's awesome, truly. I especially like that Aleutian Tiger. As for the Zeroes... well, what's RIGHT about them? Shorter list. But hey, it's still cool to see and it must make those AT-6 pilots happy, so more power to 'em. Having a true Zero-Sen flying would probably be damn expensive from the insurance alone!
  11. Christ. I don't know what combat w/s means, but if T/W means thrust/weight, then the 15N with 6 tons of fuel and 4 Phoenix missiles had a ratio that still exceeded unity. It could go ballistic all bloody day, climb to 60,000 feet as though God Almighty was pulling it up. Wow.
  12. Aaand I have a new phone wallpaper!

August 1st. In no time at all, really.
  14. Yeah. Are all these guys fresh out of high school?

As for nothing tabbing together in fighter mode, not quite true. At 1:41 in the video, look immediately behind the front leg armor of the left leg. You'll see two slots separated by a bit of plastic. Look at the left wing root trailing edge and you'll see two separate tabs that look made to slot into the... well, slots in the leg. Bet there's more we can't see yet.
  16. Been a while, so here's news the Air Force may declare the F-35 combat ready by next week: http://flip.it/JV8wZ Grabbing popcorn...
  17. 17? You're practically a spinster!
  18. 25th of August, according to NY.
  19. It's available again from Nippon-Yasan for the low, low price of... ¥45,000!? Go get! https://www.nippon-yasan.com/10446-macross-f-dx-chogokin-vf-19-advance.html

Hopefully it's in her flight suit.

Well, I shall prioritize. 31A Kairos first, then the 31F - I think that was Messer's type. Then I'm done. If I miss one, then Mirage's Delta 04. Not too big a fan of her paint scheme, but being flown by a hot elf chick in a skintight flight suit goes a long way.
  22. The Iranians were pretty resourceful with their Tomcats. They didn't have AIM-54 missiles, for example, so they modified Hawk SAMs in their place. Now with the loosening of restrictions and the advent of CnC machining and metal 3D printing, keeping them airborne should be relatively easy.
