  1. I think Force Friday is the 30th.
  2. I have no hopes for this. None. At. All. Betcha they use a Ferrari California, too.
  3. An Armored Stürmvögel? Gawd, that's a thought.
  4. Wow. Definitely in for a 262Ba. Still don't much care for Keith's.
  5. As for the new mold, isn't Arcadia making a new Garland this year? Perhaps that took the new mold slot.
  6. Doubt it. All other toys I've seen with split fins like that have a gap.
  7. Doubt it. All other toys I've seen with split fins like that have a gap.
  8. Hey! I can finally get a nice Shadow Hawk!
  9. Thanks for that! Adorable.
  10. My Ass Is Riding In Naval Equipment. Muscles Are Required, Intelligence, Not Essential. Stuff like that. However, it's all teasing. The instant another service member from another branch tries to insult one, just watch how fast the leathernecks and swabbies join ranks.
  11. Saruta: the VF-22 doesn't need legs to take off or fly. The engines exhaust through dedicated, well, exhausts that run over the back of the airframe and form a backpack while in Battroid. The YF-21 at least could dump its arms and legs to lose mass and achieve hyper-maneuverability.
  12. I want a 262, but not Keith's. I'll spring for a Ba version when it comes out.

    Macross figures

Don't know if I like it. The pose of her left leg is too girlish, and her face looks sharp enough to split wood with.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Just mis-transformed. It's happened with other Valkyries in that display many times. The people doing it aren't that careful.
  15. Haven't seen the film, but that's the exact same problem every shrinking technology on screen has had, from Honey I Shrunk the Kids to Ant-Man. They're seemingly only reducing the empty space between particles. Fine, but empty space has no mass, so Ant-Man is going around being half an inch tall but still weighing 175. The only surface he should be able to walk on without falling through is, um, something really really strong and dense. Unless the Pym particle does something I'm not aware of.
  16. Yeahp. So a Japanese anime written for Japanese audiences is doing phenomenally well in Japan. Proof that Western (read: American) and Japanese audiences have vastly different tastes, expectations, and perhaps most importantly have wildly different requirements to suspend their disbelief. We're bitching about lack of real military tactics, strategy, and ham fisted storytelling that seems to drastically change tone midway through the series. Not to mention lack of Valkyrie action. They're seemingly more concerned with character, style, music, and willing to either ignore the plot holes or or take them, and the plot items we're not shown, like the shifty NUNS guy vanishing, on faith. Eastern and Western audiences apparently demand, and can tolerate, vastly different things. No surprise, but it is a surprise that we in the West complain about it so much. Kawamori is aware of us here, he likes and appreciates us, but he doesn't write or create specifically for us. One day perhaps, but Delta isn't it. Never will be.
  17. Unlimited alien technology, and not one 262 has a passive IR tracker? That'd have found 8 warm bodies against cold terrain reasonably quickly. Character development for Bogue, Mikumo, and Hayato. Way too late though. The VF-22 is sexaaaaaayyy. Best part of the episode.
  18. Pivoting the strike cannon forward will help too.
  19. Whoa. That's unexpected.
  20. No kidding! This is great!
  21. I'm kinda with Jenius. It's possible, likely even, that the various bits like Strike parts and the Sound Booster count as their own mold. Didn't Yamato release them separately too? So, a reasonable question to ask might be: of those unconfirmed molds you listed, Noel, how of them were shelfwarmers in the Yamato days? A new company struggling to be profitable would most likely skip those. Which sold well after release? Those are probably the ones Arcadia grabbed.
  22. The Gerwalk doesn't look half bad. Wonder how solid it is, and how durable those wings are.
