  2. O.K whos gonna be the first to make a 1/1 scale Viper and fill it full of rocket motors.
  3. nice looks complete now
  4. WelL i was searching for pictures of a 1/55 Super o as I have just recived my Super O parts from Silver Dragon. I came across this wow this is great. This posting will bring this thread back out of its slumber but who cares its excellent work from one of our greatest.
  5. Well I wasnt going to post today as I havent really got much to say, but I was just sanding down one of the thighs and I sanded through the car body filler into a void that was filled with un hardened filler. Ewww its gone everywhere. You dont know how hard this stuff is to clean off. That`ll teach me to mix it more thoroughly next time.
  6. A Hikaru one would be Iconic as next to the SDF1, VF1 and may be Minmay it`s easily the most recognised thing in Macross
  7. Works for me. I get the feeling that this will turn out to be a leason on how Yamato should have done it.
  8. I see a virtual can of rocket powered worms has been opened here. Soon there are gonna be dozens of Macross painted rockets blasting off from a field somewhere near you.
  9. Thanks
  10. Nice work. Just had to look at my Venus wars dvd again. Cool.

    Comic Strip #1

    Lookin good !!
  12. I think the standards of the pictures sent in that have won so far may scare off some of the members. may be we should have a sort of gallery as well, that way some of the also rans will get their chance.
  13. I am sure these are the same kits I looked at a while ago, I was going to buy the pod and asked here about it. I was told they were recasts of a kit (not Johns) and that the quality was ok. Not sure about the officers pod as it is a little more expensive than I remember, it is from the same guy thought so could be safe to assum it is also a recast. I cant tell you what they`re like as I never got around to getting them.
  14. This kit looks good I almost got one a while ago now I think I`ll have to. How tall does it stand when completed ? It says non scale but is it comparable to the 1/100 or 1/72 ?
  15. Theres quite a healthy rocketeering scene here in good ole Blighty. As far as I can remember a lot of them meet on places like old military bases and big expanses of sand , fields and such. The local authorities here in the U.K can get a bit pissy about this sorta stuff. Theres also loads of web sites on it too, even some quite good ones on how to make your own rockets and also your own motors. Good plans and also exact meeasurements for mixing the household chemicals to make "safe" motors. My boss mixes his own for his kids, Which is quite scary as I wouldnt trust him to light a light bulb let alone a potentially dangerous rocket motor.
  16. OMG I `d completely forgotten about those. My neigbour had some of them. They were the only kits that were left at the end in that shop. That and some of the unofficial macrossesque kits like the Gerwalk Harrier and Phantom ( I had em both). Ahh those were the days.
  17. Thanks for the coments I was begining to think that this was a dead thread as only two members have replied.
  18. Nothing really interesting to report at the moment. I have been busying myself doing the other leg. The only good thing about this is, as I have already done one leg it has been so much quicker to do the second one. I took measurements of all the Styrene bits I made and where I made cuts in various parts e.t.c . This has meant that where I spent a couple of weeks on and off playing with the overall finnish and mechanics of the first leg I have done nearly all the work on the second one in 2 days. I would have been quicker if I didnt have to wait for filler and Epoxy to dry. More pictures soon including the legs attached to the torso and my new more mobile sholder joints
  19. Thats the main problem with forums you cant alway get your point across in the correct tone etc. On one board some time ago I got flamed for saying that everyone should calm down when a full scale flame war was on. It ended with me withdrawing my support for the organization. Several modrators who were flaming every post I wrote in any of the topics ended up getting banned and their IP`s blocked. It`s a shame when someone leaves. I just hope that Datterboy will come back someday. There shouldnt be any flaming here as we all are here for the thing that we love "Macross " We all like it so If we steer clear of the three most argument inducing subjects we should be o.k We should never talk about 1. Religion 2. Politics 3. Macross 7 If we stay away from those we should have a nice happy comunity here.
  20. Good to here alll went well. You do realise that rockets are adictive.
  21. And there you have it Valkaholics
  22. It`s amazing just how much the A stance makes the 1/55 look better.
  23. damn I almost forgot about that. Since it is similar to vf1 it shouldn't be that hard imo. Yf-19 is way more different and we are getting that. 422629[/snapback] Yeah a few different molds but the transform is almost the same so no need to really think about how just make the parts etc.
