Never bought from em myself but I have heard bad things about them.

Awesome !! The main differences (apart from size) between this kit and the Arii 1/6 as far as I can tell is the clear bits. The ruffells round the skirt and sholders IMO they make the kit look far better. The hair sculpt is far better too. I think that when I build mine I`ll make clear ruffles instead. Just out of interest what did you use for skin tone.

May be he has transulcent eye lids like some birds and snakes do. If you do then you need to open then to appreciate your Valks properly.

If you want the Yellowed look then this is only achived by years of sunlight and U.V exposure. Its to do with the oils on the plastic and will only apear after time sat on a shelf in the sunlight, a south facing kids bedroom is usually best.

Oooooh! dental supplies. The source of so many modeling aids. One of our clients is a dentist and he let me loose in his stock cupboard.

Yeah thats the curse of working in the U.K Short unpredictable summers and damp winters. the only dead cert is you should never book your U.K holiday when Wimbledon is on as your definatly gonna get wet as it always rains for the Tennis in the U.K I think there is a problem selling Iso in the U.K in concentrations above 70%. My Mum used to be able to get 100% from the Hospital (she worked there) but We never managed to finnish a bottle as it would evaporate, so you`d always end up with an empty bottle because someone didnt do the cap up tight. 100% is pridy good at catching fire too. The Acetone thing is correct its a bio chemical extracted from oil and other nasties, And children what oil made from ?! Celulose is also a nice plant extract it smells of pear drops ( why do all nasty chemicals smell so nice). There used to be a small car restoration garage round the corner from my house as kids we all used to hang round the extractor fans on the paint shop coz it smelled nice. I think we all have brain damage now though. MT that extra couple of amps should give you a bit more power reserve, unless your larger motors are also larger on their power demands.

Excellent work as always What a great way to bow out of the custom market. The question now, who is gonna step up to the plate to take his place ?

Yeah thats the problem I had with it. The method I ended up using was to mask out the area as much as possible with tape and then fill the edge of the area with liquid mask. The only problem is you have to build it up and it can take ages. Also the new layer of mask can make the other layers become wet again. Once you paint it you have to remove it a few days later as it sometimes wont come off. You can also liquidmask paint in little remove tabs made of scrap paper to help to get it off after paint the area as it can be a pain sometimes.

There are several liquid mask products available I have used the Humbrol one in the past. It paints on and you can peal it off after

"Hi. My name is HWR and Im a modelaholic" . You of cause know that as soon as you start putting pictures up this thread is gonna double in size.

I`ll Check where we get it from at work ( I think its eaither RS or CPC) both do mail order and its easy to set up an account/membership if you need. You could also try an automotive paint suppliers the one near me sells it in anything from 500ml to 1000 litres. All this furious building on the MW site at the mo has got me all a building quiver. Paint and filler everywhere but nothing to show yet.

This kit is so much more detailed than the Arii 1/6 one I have. The Arii one of this outfit is one of the better detailed ones. How tall is it when assembled ? Great work by the way

Well the stabs look like they`ll work to me. I cant wait to see this finnished. For those of you who are waiting for my report on Iso mixed with car body filler. Well due to an enormous hangover on Sunday from my friends Stag doo I didnt even get drunk which makes it worse I only did a small test. What I can say is that Iso happily removes gone off and badly mixed filler that wont dry. Just soak it and then rub it off later with a cloth. A propper test will follow.

Oh the God of Macross figures has spoken... We will sit and listen oh great one.

I have visions of a HWR modeling productionline. You chunk out kits quicker than I can buy them. I feel humble in your presence. It takes me ages to get arround to finnishing things like kits (years for some) pictures soon.
-
Yeah you`d get away with that one IMO

LOL Ive been on a couple of comercial flights where I swear they did that in the passenger cabin.

Not if you painted your bike to look like a VF1.

Cool I loved (and still do even though im 34) my Transformers, some are a bit loose and worn others are mint and have never been out of the box I love em all like they were my kids. Next up would have to be my Lego Before Transformers even exitsted I was building Transformer like models for my spacemen to fly in. If they wernt in Transforming spaceships they were in my scaled model of the O.S Battlestar Galactica. I kept home made instructions to help me rebuild them anythime. Even thought the instruction sheets are long gone there are still some familar parts there sat in the big wooden case my Grandad made for me. Just in case you wanted to know what a Big Trak is, here is a picture. They were cool ( i had a Starbird instead My stepbro had Big Trak and its Trailer My Starbird Intruder ( my stepbro also had the Starbird Avenger) My StepBro had all the great toys Except Transformers that was for me and my little bro to have to our selves.

Dang I managed to miss buying a Wave Vf 19 like that as I couldnt fit it and the Wave Vf-17 I `d just bought into my bag. now I cant get one anywhere. At least I have 3 Wave Vf-17`s now (soon to 4) Now I can make all of Diamond Force and maybe I could get just one more to do the Milia repaint too.
-
I voted Vf-17. I`d still be happy with any of them but all of them would be great but unlikely to happen anytime soon. An SDF 1 of a scale that makes it as big or bigger thanthe Vf-0 would be the dogs danglies. There are too many available in super small scales, we NEED a big one. I`d like to see a Vf 5000 Starmirage

Hell you should just tell us the stories if they dont fit into the comics storyline
