  1. From the opening on Caladan in the 1984 movie, Gurney Hallack and Paul dueled; Gurney told Paul "Good...the slow blade penetrates the shield" (1:46):
  2. You have to remove the cockpit section to raise the canopy shields? Wow... ! Spiffy fighter can't transform unless you eject!
  3. Oh, I agree on all your points wholeheartedly. Don't let Michael bay ANYWHERE near ANY Macross, ever. I just like picking on Basara. 😛
  4. Well, physically. As for emotionally...this is Basara Nekki we're talking about here. He has the emotional intellect of one of those leaves he ate while off on one of his gallivanting adventures...
  5. "Discount Spock", "Great Value Brand Sheryl Nome"... seems a lot of the sci-fi/anime shows have taken to shopping generic, eh?
  6. Well, "unfortunate" was meant as sarcasm; after all, the real unfortunate ones are those who were exposed to him...
  7. In between infomercials, on Cartoon Network no less.
  8. Richard Lester would be better than Michael Bay at the rate things are going...
  9. That's what I mean by "act rather than react". Having a plan requires at least a little bit of forethought and initiative; I don't see that in Craig's version of Bond really. But at least he's got chicken... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLyOj_QD4a4 (WARNING: NSFW!!!!)

    Hi-Metal R

Any chance you could reach out to Bandai for a replacement joint?
  11. He'd probably blow up the SDF-1 in the first 10 minutes of the film...
  12. Now Seto, please be kind to the unfortunate Mr. Messer. After all, his very name indicated what he would end up doing to his poor VF's cockpit... Messer and Keith up in the sky, Taking turns on which one would die; First comes missiles Then comes melee, Then the loser gets wiped up with a squeegee.
  13. On the note of Star Trek: I came across this little gem a while back-
  14. hi there, and welcome to the forums! Looks like one species that survived the decimation of Earth back in SW1 were scumbags. They seem to be thriving fine into the colony period of mankind...
  15. You know, on the NX model, you could do the darker ones and leave a few lighter ones to alternate the look and have a less-homogenized aztec pattern.
  16. Craig's bond seems more like he's reacting to the situation around him rather than acting on his own volition. While the other Bonds do react to the events and incidents around them, they also take the initiative to come up with some creative strategy and even counter-plan. Craig's just seems to be a ping pong ball getting knocked around, getting kills only because the opportunity came up and he got lucky. Combine that with your mention of Craig's rendition being a dumb thug and he just doesn't seem like Bond to me. At this rate, Ja Rule would be a better fit...

    Hi-Metal R

    They could use a Hi-Metal R SDF-1 (TV Version)...
  18. My pleasure! Let me know how it goes; if you run into any issues or need help, don't give up! Contact me here and I'll help you work it out; I've dealt with a lot of issues concerning transformable toys (having rebuilt my Trendmasters reissue Voltron into my own version of SoG Voltron, for starters!) and I have a lot of experience in fixing busted pieces.
  19. Sounds like it's gaming their own company's insurance policy to make it pay out...
  20. Well, they could always release Black Widow: The Super-Exclusive Director's Cut Special Edition in a few years....
  21. Yeah, from what you described here, it sounds like Periwinkle may have convinced her to sue the studios in order to deflect blame from themselves.
  22. I'm sorry, but could you please speak up? I can't hear you over the sound of the internet in the background.... 🙃
  23. Yeah, I remember those wars; seriously, all that flame over a detail? You could have barbecued a few dozen whole chickens with the heat that came from those!
