I wonder if it comes in pink... (asking for a friend)

Gotcha. I had considered that they may decide on a "remote drone" type of tech; one that would allow them to avoid losing skilled pilots like Roy Fokker in live combat. As it stands, it would seem organics are not going to be capable of withstanding the increasing demands of variable fighters (hence the EX-gear, for one). I can imagine Max and Millia in a case with a hammer on a chain: "IN CASE OF APOCALYPSE, BREAK GLASS AND STAND BACK" Agreed; they should have just left the Megaroad alone. Admittedly, I had wanted to see what happened to Hikaru, Misa and the rest of them; now, I regret that decision bitterly...

Noted; it just looks like a neo-glaug to me though. As for the future of Valkyries: do you think they're going again for what Project Supernova almost did with the Ghost? I know they don't want AI's, but when elements like General Galaxy and Lady M are involved, it seems rules are more akin to suggestions to them...

The computer and electronics super geek thread
pengbuzz replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Gotta be careful with CrystalDiskInfo; I've heard that it can report a drive to be good, only for it to die later that day. Probably more prevalent on HDD's than SSD's, but I'd still be careful. On another note altogether: recently, my old PC (eMachines W3650 w/ ECS 945GCT-M3 motherboard, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS, 400W PSU, Celeron CPU @ 1.6Ghz, EVA Nvidia 610 GPU card 1GB, 3GB DDR2 SDRAM 320 GB HDD (should have only recognized 2 but somehow recognized 3, still cannot figure that out) was on life support, and my Norton renewal download required a specific update in order to function. That update pretty much caused my poor computer to have a nervous breakdown. Thankfully, had all my files backed up. But that wasn't going to do me much good So... was pretty much SOL until I found another computer secondhand; the replacement is a Dell Optiplex 3020 w/ Intel Core i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OS, 290W PSU, 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM and built in GPU (gotta look into improving that sometime), and a 240 GB SSD. The OS was freshly loaded onto the drive just before it was sold to me, so no worries there (scanned it anyways with Norton and Malwarebytes loaded on before I transferred anything to it, just in case). Now I can run Photoshop CS% Extended while looking at the internet and playing Chess Titans simultaneously -
Really sweet detailing job! Nicely done! UPDATE: not much...had to rip out the leading edge of the wings and underside (inaccuracies). X-wing model delayed due to USPS being slower than a retarded snail; 1/3000 SDF-1 project cancelled due to lack of base model/toy to work with. At this rate, it'll probably never happen. Now working on a 1:1 scale model of a depressed Pengbuzz (OOB build).

So then, a "Robotech/ Predator Crossover" for example wouldn't happen due to SMG's focus then? (Just think happy little thoughts of Dana being stalked by an camouflaged Yautja Warrior )

Not much to update, except that I had a narrow window of opportunity to obtain a 1/3000 Matchbox SDF-1 on Ebay ($160)for a relatively cheap price, and just as our money came into the bank... ...someone else bought it. It's raining here and pretty cruddy to boot. Just gonna call it a day and go to bed early.

ROFL!!!!! -
WOW!!! Some serious landscaping there MT!! I get the feeling this one's going to be a show-stopper when you're finished with it! UPDATE: due to an error on my part, I had to tear out the aft section on the space engines for the ES-11 and redo them. it also allowed me to accurize the bottom of the bird's hull a bit better and finally add the Radome pylons: The engine exhausts are still WIP, so they're admittedly pretty rough right now. But this bird is at least taking further shape! Stay tuned while I look for a "dish"...

Could it possibly be a form of psychological warfare? Something to disorient and mentally mess with their enemy? -
Still having issues: wouldn't post in the workbench, then three posts of the same thing all at once!

Same here, and even clearing my cache isn't helping.

I wonder if the original Macross had that for it's carriers? Hey now! Punching someone in the face with an aircraft carrier is the staple of all anime! 😛 -

How it could keep wings the length of a Macross class fortress up like that without snapping the shoulders clean off is ridiculous. -
I wish I could just buy the SoC Blazing Sword/ Ten Kings Sword separately.

UPDATE: Did some more body work, refined the wing nacelles a little more and tried to shape the wing to be more aerodynamically-appropriate. I also managed to get the flaps on the rear of the wings. She's still a bit rough, but starting to "get there"... Stay tuned...
