  1. Doing Master File schemes would be really nice. I see Hasegawa doing it for their kits & often wish there’s transformable toys of them.
  2. Gotta commend Pose+ taking a different approach with the Alpha. Instead of having it combine with a Beta (I think we can agree at this size, the chances of Beta happening will be very slim), they combine with a pilot that can also wear a full-fledge transformable Cyclone. Now I wonder if there is space in Fighter to store a Cyclone as well.. What is a bit of downer of that Alpha sculpt, is how small the vertical stabilizers are. The Sentinel ones are already small, but this looks even proportionately tinier.
  3. I just wonder how acceptable will it be to fans if Bandai diverges too much from canon transformation. The belly plates, lower leg and now possibly the hands are going to be different from what has been worked out in the line-art. I am personally ok with these changes so long as the everything is generally in the same position, considering the amount of anime magic involved for this VF.
  4. I won't really see it as replacing Yamcadia's 1/60, simply because the more I look at the Battloid sculpt, the more I feel that its proportions veer towards human-like rather than typical Jap robot proportions. Disregarding the old line-art, its legs look a bit shorter and head is a bit larger than the Yamcadia or Bandai DX. We see the same thing for Threezero's recent Voltron vs Bandai's SOC Voltron. Why this feels 'human-like' is that the overall proportions look like a Hot Toy Iron Man instead of say, a Sentinel Re:Edit Iron Man.
  5. To be honest I didn’t read the story, but mostly followed for the new mecha designs. I quite like the Inbit redesigns, & the additional Legioss + Tread variants. If the new ride-armors brings to mind some Bubblegum Crisis feeling, this new #12 bike definitely gives it Highway Star vibes. I like it even if it turns out to be non-transformable.
  6. The whole rotating lower leg is an Interesting solution to how Bandai solve fitting the very lanky legs into the belly of Fighter. By making them disappear completely into the calves, there’s more space for longer hips. It also looks like the hips are also on a rotating joint to make them positioned higher in Battroid like its YF-19 counterpart.
  7. Pic via Stone Cheung on FB. It looks like the next Riobot Ride-Armor will be Eagle’s. Still not sure what is that other bike at bottom.
  8. If Arcadia ever gives us the YF-21 with updated engineering, I actually don't mind if they keep the Yamato proportions intact, but give us another pair of chunky legs to swap in. Removable legs are already there with the delimiter mode. Yeahh its major parts-forming, but I see it as similar to how Bandai gives another pair shorter, line-art accurate wings for their HMR VF-1 & VF-0.
  9. Yeahh.. at moment there doesn't appear to be any info other than that image. We'll wait for the next Hobby Japan issue to be out. I think Sentinel didn't participate in this WF at all.
  10. The 1/60 Chogokins really need to have more cockpit details moving forward. It may have sufficed 10 years ago, even when Yamato / Arcadia we’re already doing nicer cockpit interiors, but every other VF competition have moved forward in this area. The smaller scale KCs have better interior paint & details, and it looks like Threezero’s upcoming VF-1 will be the same as well. Bandai’s 1/48 Chogokin VF-1 may have been slightly better with colored seats, but the rest of cockpit interior is still a drab grey.

    Macross figures

Looks like no new progress on Arcadia's 1/7 Minmay at Wonderfest. Sculpt looks done and same as previously exhibited, but no updates on release.

    Arcadia VF-5000G

Pics from Wonderfest via Dengeki Hobby:
  13. From Wonderfest.. the Arcadia Hargun scheduled to be released on Dec 2023. Price Yen 29,920 tax included. No word yet on PO date.
  14. The foot has been changed from being one piece as shown in line art & what Yamato did, to separate heel and toe sections. Well, at least posability will be improved quite a bit this way.
  15. Ah ok non-transformable for these then. Going by previous efforts from others, 1-mode VF action figures have never been that popular. Gotta even question the ‘action’ aspect for Fighter. Just sweeping the wings back & forth hardly qualifies lol. Buy I actually do like the sculpt on these.
  16. This must be the first time a Bandai Macross being officially confirmed in this way. Could it be acknowledging all the feedback from fans to release it already?
  17. Ah collaboration with Sentinel. That’s pretty good news for those interested in these.
  18. The price is nice stateside.. No Bandai WWM premium No KC ridiculous shipping fees from Hong Kong. Just a little bit of domestic shipping fee.
  19. The VF-1S, which looks more like classic VF-1: And the VF-1J, a re-interpretation:
  20. Now that they have showed off Roy, it makes me want it more than Rick’s instead lol.. Rick’s 1J scheme sometimes looked a bit too plain.
  21. Alaska Base is almost a certainty at this rate. Also the Cavaliers.. And now we have Kids Logic joining the transformable Vf-1 game. The space is getting crowded!
  22. No matter what sculpt it is, Roy's 1S colour scheme makes it look good.
  23. Perhaps you meant Kids Logic @CF18? That transformable VF-1 looks interesting! A re-intepretation of VF-1, and it seems to be the direction Robotech licensees are taking these days. What's more different here is that the VF-1J & VF-1S are not merely head swap differences, but the rest of the body as well.
